Coalition of Death

 Today is starting out warmer than yesterday when I woke up to 50 (F), outside, of course.  This morning the temp was 60 (F) and the expected high is in the upper 70s (F).  Because the weather forecasters are saying we will be having much sunshine today, I'll be using my drying rack.  That's a non too subtle hint that my first load of laundry is in the washer.

Yesterday some things were done, and other things weren't.  I did take out the window A/C unit in the workout/computer room and put it away.  If my memory is correct, only used it 4 times over the summer, so mostly what it did was block the light.  The unit in the bedroom will be removed today.  That one has a thermostat so, while it was used more, I'd have to say that it was off more often than it was on.

I also spent some time on the Fit Gent YouTube channel picking out some additional ab exercises to do.  These are to be added to my upper body routine.

And even though I did make a salad for dinner to compensate for the heavy breakfast I had yesterday morning, I still ended up snacking my way through the evening.

Late yesterday afternoon, I did get an email from UPS regarding the broken Xerox printer, they wanted more pictures.  Well, I was told to pack the thing up and set it out for delivery, so I sent them the pictures that I'd already taken.  

America's health care is descending into chaos because of this man.  He is a Kennedy, and the Kennedy's despise him.  He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Literature, and a Jurist's degree which allows him to practice law.  He has no experience in any of the fields of medicine.  What truly defines him is that he is a wack job extraordinaire.

The only reason he is the Secretary of Health is because a coalition of anti-vaxxers whose votes helped put the Orange Anus into the White House for a second time.  Orangie needs those voters to keep voting Republican so in order to keep them loyal, he made RFK (and his brain worm) the Secretary of Health.  While the rest of the world moves ahead with research and development in the field of medicine, this guy is eliminating positions.  He will be the death of many of the very people who voted for Orangie, the only problem is that many of them cannot die soon enough.  You would think Orangie would realize this is a detriment to his administration, but then he has never been a man of forethought.

 So, here it is, Tuesday.  I don't work.  I'm happy.  It's a bit on the nippy side, with temps in the mid 20s (F), though they're expected to rise into the mid 40s (F).  For the next three days we are under a snow flurry warning.  That's right, no snow is expected, but flurries can swirl around us at any time.  Wow.

I did work yesterday and it was pretty meh, except for a couple who want a backsplash installed.  Wait, that's wrong, they want us to design a backsplash.  I had talked to them a while back and he had explained to me that they want back splash for two sections of countertop, but behind their stove they want a different type of tile with a special tile border.  I told him we don't do that, we do not design.  So, he went to another associate who told him the same thing, but went ahead a set up a measure because the customer wanted to be measured.  Yesterday this customer showed up with a list of different types of tiles expecting me to put each one into a graphic display so he and his wife could see what they looked like.  Once again, I told him we do not have that capability, that we are not designers.  What he's trying to do is get us to design a backsplash for him on the cheap, rather than pay the $$$ to a designer.  It is not going to happen.  

With all the backlash regarding Biden's pardoning his son, I have to tell you, this is how I'm feeling.

For those who haven't realized it yet, the biggest problem with the American people is that most of them are simply dumb.  The number of anti-vaxers grows because they have not experienced a measles epidemic, have not dealt with the fact that the kid down the street died of measles, or chicken pox, or mumps.  The last time there was a bad outbreak of one of those "childhood diseases" in which children died was back in the late 1940s.  So, of course they don't understand the benefit of vaccines.

Because Americans have never had to deal with an authoritative regime, their patently ignorant.  Too many of them feel they are so far removed, are so caught up in their own tiny little worlds, they do not understand how such a government will easily ruin their lives.  We are a very dumb people.  Too many are enamored with influencers they cannot tell the difference between honesty and deceit. They prefer non-thinking to reasoning, because thinking hurts their brains.

Justin Trudeau flew down to Mar a Lago unexpectedly thinking he might talk to the Orange Anus about tariffs, and how terrible they would be.  He found out Orangey has absolutely no idea how tariffs actually work.  I would have thought that Justin would have realized by now that for Orangey will never admit to ignorance.  He is never wrong.  He's also dumb as a fucking brick. It's my understanding that Trump, as well as those at the the table, thought Justin amusing.  Hopefully, Justin has now realized that the only way to deal with Orangey is to take a page from Claudia Sheinbaum's playbook.

More Power to Them

Monday has arrived.

Yesterday, the first day of my 3 day unweekend, weekend was quite.  I drove down to York to have lunch with my friend Betsy.  It is always good to spend quality time with like minds.  

Justin came and mowed my lawn.  He will need some direction, but then I wasn't expecting him to read my mind and know exactly what I needed done.  He was pleased to tell me he's in the process of getting vaccinated.  His father had Covid - bad.  He's one of those who actually survived intubation, though his lungs are pretty much shot.  Teeny weeny little blood clots did a job and in his weakened state he developed a heart inflammation.  He has a long road to recovery.

One of the plants in my tank is flowering.  Tomorrow, if the back continues to improve, there will be a thorough cleaning.

Did anybody else see the bit about the Republican Senator from Alaska who's not allowed on Alaska Airlines because of her anti- vaccine, anti-mask stance.  Notice, I say stance rather than beliefs.  She will clean to her party's diatribes; to do otherwise might cost her votes.  Of course, unable get a flight out of Alaska might prove to be worrisome given she needs to be in Washington to vote against everything the Democrats want.

And a number of different surveys are showing that there is very little that will change an anti-vaxxer's views.  This is a group who's so stringently held beliefs will be with them from the cradle to the grave, literally. 

And evidently Biden's mandates about getting vaccinated or tested have driven the Republican party into a tizzy.  Can't you hear their shrieks and moans?  They are in a real mess.  Legally, the Supreme Court has upheld such mandates in the past.  They have a big problem.  You see, people want their lives to go back to normal, pre-Covid, and the only way for that to happen without clogging up the hospitals with Covid patients is for people to get vaccinated.  Their desperate ploy which they believed would ring loudly in the ears of a majority, is falling mostly on deaf ears, in fact they are now dealing with a backlash.  This is fine.  In fact. I say more power to them.

Buried by Time

Well, we aren't really super pink.  That monster snow storm?  The one where Central PA was the bullseye in the epicenter?  That little pussy cat was anything but epic.  Oh, sure, we did get a lot of snow, but no where near 24 inches.  20 inches?  Nah.  At best we ended up with around 10 inches of light, fluffy snow.  And here I was planning on taking a personal day.  Well, it looks like that's not going to happen.  This is what it looks like from my front porch.

I did get an email from the people delivering my treadmill letting me know there was a possibility of it being delayed.  How could it be delayed when they haven't even called to set up a delivery date.  The location upstairs is ready and waiting, however, I'm betting I'll have to wait until after Christmas, unless they can get it here on Monday or Thursday.

Those qanon Cracker Jack Crazies are so pissed at Moscow Mitch they're threatening to leave the GOP.  Personally, I don't think their numbers are that great, but let's be honest, any loss for the Republican party is a gain for Democracy.  They don't understand their trendy conspiracy theory, the one where their Idiot Jerk is holy will fade.  Time will bury them in obscurity... something they truly deserve.  Four years from now they will be nothing more than an embracing race track on the dirty underwear of the GOP.

And what about all those who don't want to take the Covid Vaccine?  This is how evolution works.  Those who can adapt survive, those run around shrieking "what's in it?"  They'll die off.  Sure it will take a little time, but that's how it works.  Here today, gone tomorrow... or maybe the next day after that.
