There's a chilly day in store for Central PA. Our outside temp is sitting at a moderate 51 (F) and if the forecasters are correct, we will only get around 5 degrees warmer. Tomorrow, however, we return to summer... in April. Highs for Friday and Saturday are expected to be in the mid80s (F). That's too hot for this time of year. The grass is growing, the trees are budding, and more than daffodils are in bloom. Late June temps in very early April is not a good indicator for the approaching summer.
Much was done yesterday. I feel good. A decent workout was done in the morning and some cleaning. The biggest accomplishment, or perhaps I should say partial accomplishment, was the the aquariums. The bad tempered tiger barb has passed, so began the elimination of the large 50 gallon aquarium in the writing room. All of the fish from the bigger tank have been moved. The smaller 30 gallon tank got a better light. About 20 gallons has been removed from the larger tank. Draining it will take a bit. I used a hose to fill it, but I will need to empty the water using a pitcher. Then the gravel will have to be removed. I'm going to spread that around the back yard. The tank, itself, is made of plexiglass; it weighs less than regular gas, but cost much more. It will be recycled.
Here's what the smaller tank looks like so far.

I love aquariums, but not the required work that goes with them. I enjoy seeing yours. The OA continues to embarrass himself. I read a recap of his little talk in front of hand picked ‘religious leaders’ in which he couldn’t finish a reading about Jesus…he slid into a diatribe about being a king himself and being mad about that damn ballroom being denied. Loser is his actual title.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see that clip, but I watched the one where she compared him to Jesus, and he kept nodding in approval.
DeleteLove the aquarium!
ReplyDeleteThey make me happy. I was traumatized by my Betta dying many years ago, so I had one of those circular ones only with water plants for awhile.
I love the idea of going back to the moon. And of course Cankles slurred his way through another nonsensical speech. And kept repeating there’s no money for social security or essential programs but he’s draining the country for his war.
Our gas is past $4. AI is costing thousands of jobs. SCOTUS didn’t do his bidding. He’s demented.
XOXO
Your gas is going to get more expensive. Aquariums are great, but they do require work. And we are approaching the worst of times.
DeleteWe watched the launch and for me there is always that chilling moment when you think it might explode like the Challenger. I always breathe a sigh of relief when they pass that spot.
ReplyDeleteIt was awesome, bringing a tear to my eye. This is what we should be doing, not scared shitless of the moral degenerate in the White House.
DeleteDid Cankles intend to announce firing the AG and just'forgot' (so he had to send it out as a 'tweet' today)?
ReplyDeleteWill Jay
I think he does all of his terminations by Tweet because it gets him more attention.
DeleteI also caught a snippet, somewhere, that a judge also blocked the dump from cutting any more funding for PBS and NPR.
ReplyDeleteThis is true. So far, this week has not been good for the shit bag in the White House.
