Yesterday afternoon was sunny, the temps were warm. A loaf of bread baked as I began working on the aquarium: a change is on the way. And then the temps outside began to drop. As the sun rose, the temps were a cool 31 (F), cold enough to start putting the roses into hibernation. The foliage for the dahlias will be gone soon. This is the time of change.
I went to see "No Time to Die" last evening, the latest Bond flick. This is not your average 007 thriller. The color palette reminded me of a film from the late 50's to early 60's, filled with deep colors and shadows. Daniel Craig played the oldest Bond ever, easily a man in his late 40's, a spy brought out of retirement. There is a lot of dialogue. And don't try thinking about the Nano byte threat which defies logic. Rami Malik's villain seemed too wispy at times. This is my way of saying there are some problems. Nothing to keep me from not liking the movie, but things my brain needs to just pass by rather than think about.
The Dems need to get their shit together. That's all. Younkin is MAGAt bait. This playbook will be present in 2022.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have yet to go see the latest 007. Love me some Daniel Craig at 53. I think the next Bond should have been Idris Elba. But that's just me.
XOXO
It will be interesting how they moved the series forward. There is a female 007 for a time in this movie.
DeleteI think countries like Russia and China love seeing us fight amongst ourselves. There hope is we won't be able to come together when it is time to fight them.
ReplyDeleteThey might on occasion, but right now Russia's being slammed badly by Covid, and China some really, bad debt crisis issues.
DeleteI do not have a good feeling about 2024 at all. While the repubs all stick together on the same page...of shit...the dems can't get on the same page, and it feels it's fracturing. Biden has his work to pull out, from somewhere.
ReplyDeleteNow I love me some James Bond, and Craig was one of my favorites, I wish he had went out on a stronger film. And I love Rami Malik, a fine actor, but I don't buy him as a villain. I think casting seems off in this film, from what I hear.
Democrats have always had difficult uniting and they thought all they had to do was wave the evil Trump banner and everybody was going to vote for them. Wake up Call. The movie was good, Rami seemed to be the only weak point.
