Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Climbing the Little Boy Staircase

Well, we still have the drizzles outside.  The temps are also cool.  Currently we're sitting at 52 (F), with an expected high of 65 (F).  That's iffy unless the cloud cover goes away.  We had rain on and off throughout the night.  That's fine.  We needed it.  The big surprise will be if the temps climb up into the low 70s (F) tomorrow, before dropping off.  I'm skeptical.

I did work yesterday.  The store was somewhat busy.  Flooring made plan, mostly because I sold a very large install, not my measure, of course, so even though I had to make changes, I get no credit.  This wasn't the case until they updated the software a few years back. There was a time when making changes to a quote earned you some of the credit.  Not anymore.  This means that an associate can spend 5 minutes with a customer processing the measure and another associate can spend an hour and a half with that same customer with out getting any of the sales recognition.  None of us are happy about this.

Otherwise the day was very slow.  Most of my time was spent getting in laps and checking out social media on my phone.  Oh, and eating that crappy pizza management bought from Wegman's Grocery.  Had we been busier, I'd have spent less time grazing.

I made a shrimp stir-fry the other night.  It was very tasty.

Isn't it fascinating how things, like numbers, can change as minutes and hours slip into the past.  Updates happen.  The occurred when the government used to release the monthly jobs report.  Sometimes there were revisions down, especially during this administration, and occasionally they'd be adjusted up, as under Biden's presidency.  Well, that same thing is happening with the No Kings day stats.  Original numbers were around 7 million, then they edged up to 7.5 million, and now 2 days after the peaceful demonstrations, they're saying the actual numbers are probably over 8 million, maybe even as high as 8.5 million.  You can bet that number's sticking in a lot of Republican craws.  While his approval rating continues in a slow, death spiral, more and more Americans are simply getting fed up with all of his lies.

I don't know how many people heard, but supposedly Orangie's Secret Service supposedly discovered a hunting stand near the Palm Beach Airport.  As a result, Orangie used the "small staircase" when it came time to get into Air Force 1.  My take is that's PR nonsense.  I'm betting his 79 year-old legs, cankles and all, simply have problems going up the big boy staircase.  This excuse takes that long climb out of his agenda.  The question remains to be seen if this is the excuse he'll use at every airport.

  1. Hello Dave,

Your shrimp stir-fry looks and surely tasted delicious.

We are not sure if we understand completely the difference between the staircases but we do know that 8.5 million people surely cannot all be wrong.

    1. The shrimp was tasty, I ate 2 bowls. The little staircase is located at the rear of the plane and leads up into the underbelly of the plane where the cargo is located, as well as an elevator that can goes up to the main floor.

  2. He's using the small staircase cuz he has Cankles.

Our No Kings in Columbia was even bigger than the last one. And I talked with a few Republicans who joined in because they're seeing the truth!

    1. Even small towns here in Central PA had No Kings rallies. We should all be pumped at how large the tip of this iceberg is!

  3. I think it’s at least 10 million people that took part in No Kings Day. It’s seems some of the MSM picked up on it while others have given it short shrift or ignored it.
As for Trump he’s got health problems.
A relative who is an experienced nurse believes Trump has congestive heart failure.

    1. The number is higher than the 7.7 million because there were many rallies that didn't register, especially in smaller towns. The congestive heart failure sounds about right, and he's in such bad shape all they can do is medicate.

  4. YUM!
    That looks delish.
And I was in a tiny town in Wisconsin, VERY white and there was a No Kings march there! And that estimate sounds about right. Probably more, if you count the protests abroad.
    Love that.
And Cankles IS and ill, old, decrepit man. His 'golf outings' are to give the impression of health.

    XOXO

    1. It actually was quite yummy. And not even counting the rallies abroad, there were so freaking many small towns that didn't register who held rallies.

  6. Good morning. I haven’t been here for a while. I’ve had a lot going on outside my online routine, but I’ll definitely come back soon to catch up on your awesome blog posts. Greetings from Indonesia

  7. It does seem unfair that credit for a sale cannot be split between several employees, especially if they have the software for it!
