I'm pleased to say that our temperature has gone up one full degree since I got out of bed this morning. Right now we are sitting at a very, very chill 13 (F). My furnace is running. In three days we're supposed to be back up in the 40s (F), but only briefly. The forecast is for our temps to drop again. One of the weather headlines blurted out that we are experiencing a polar plunge, which, I suppose, is slightly different than an arctic freeze... perhaps.
I did work yesterday. And I got a measure. That should make management happy. I also got to meet our new, full-time closing flooring specialist. Isaiah. While he has carpet experience, he also seems to have worked with 2D and 3D animation and got quite excited when I told him I'd downloaded Blender thinking that I might intro the next book with a bit of animation. Of course, having worked in Human Resources, I'm well aware how often first impressions can be skewed.
And I also stepped on the scale yesterday. Wowza. I need to cut back on my caloric intake. Squats have been non-existent from my workout since I paused Trainwell' they need to return quickly.
I also signed up for a year of Duolingo just to study Norwegian. It's a lot less expensive than Babel.

Let the destroying commence I say.
ReplyDeleteI think that will come after the rot, and there's quite a bit of rot going on right now.
DeleteThe stupidity is boundless. It’s truly mind boggling. Woke up to 5 degrees F today. Heating bill for last month was rough. Hate to see it for this month.
ReplyDeleteI walked a mile yesterday, outside, in 12 degree temps with wind chill at ? Won’t be doing that today. Maybe I’ll walk laps in my house.
I'm on the budget plan for heating since I would rather pay a smaller monthly fee than pay out hundreds of dollars during the winter season.
DeleteWe got 1 degree this morning.
ReplyDeleteIt's currently a balmy 14F right now.
And the fuck? Cankles really is enjoying that dementia. For real. 25th his orange ass NOW..
As for prices, it'll be the frog in the boiling water syndrome until people come back from the supermarket and see their receipt is $95 more expensive every week....
XOXO
We got up to 22. His dementia was in overdrive this afternoon during a White House press conference. And... prices are not going down.
DeleteI'm doing laps in my house this winter. 3 times around the first floor then a set of stairs. 15 minutes tops due to a bad ankle. Pretty good for 79. Kris in Ohio
ReplyDeleteGood for you!!! And I thought you knew, 79 is the new 40!!!
DeleteIn the same breath that illiterate tub of cheese said Norway controlled the Nobel prize and so he'll take Greenland in retaliation followed by him saying he doesn't care about a Noel prize.
ReplyDelete25th Amendment anyone???
I don't think there's a lot of cognization going on in his brain.
DeleteYou're paying for Duolingo? Does that just apply to Norwegian because my Italian is free!
ReplyDeleteIt's Super Duolingo, it's $58 a year and is purported to give you a better course. We'll see.
