Temps today are supposed to hit 60 (F), but just briefly before showers enter the picture. We're going to be staying in this pattern of moderate temps and showers for a while. Next Wednesday there 's a blip when the temps are expected to hit the low 70s (F), but it's only a blip. Except for a few days with partial sunshine, the forecast is for showers, showers, showers.
Yesterday was a decent day. Much was accomplished, including the purchase of 4 more tomato plants and a poblano pepper plant. I've got 3 more containers to fill. Last year I tried zucchinis and cucumbers and got zilch. Maybe this year I'll try eggplant.
I also got a 45 minute ride in. My quad is still a bit achy, so I may go lite on the squats today. There are leg extensions in today's workout, but both legs are used. It was the single leg extensions on the left leg that were tough.
And I got an email this morning from YouTube. They've blocked my edited version of Storm at the behest of Virgin Music. I sent a copy to a friend yesterday morning and at that time it had 39,000 views and over 2000 likes. That's not too shabby. I suspect that if I had contacted Virgin and asked to pay for the rights they would have said "yes," but I don't doubt that would have bee expensive. Copies of that shortened version are everywhere, so I was obviously not the only one impressed enough to make a copy.
And the administration is going after both Kimmel and Comey again. I've heard that the CEO of Disney is far more concerned about a public backlash than he is of the FCC, no doubt because he has lawyers who can tie that up in the courts for years, or at least until Orangie and his personal henchie Brendan Carr can be removed. And the Comey indictment? It's for his picture of sea shells on the beach that say 86 47. This administration is a total joke and that is showing up in Orangie's approval ratings. According to a recent poll by You Gov, only 18% of Americans strongly approve.

As we saw with Kimmel 1.0, hit 'em in the wallet and keep doing it. If Disney caves, start canceling them again.
ReplyDeleteAs for Comey this is just another attempt at deflection for Cankles disastrous presidency, his Epstein connection and his war for profit in Iran.
Disney will keep Kimmel and go to court.
DeleteHis pea brain is on a perpetual loop. Comey and the seashell pic…OMG. Gas prices are getting crazier, as are food prices. Daily reminders of his incompetence.
ReplyDeleteI bought a single cherry tomato plant yesterday; waiting til mid-May to put in ground. If it’s like previous years, there will be hundreds.
I understand gas prices went up another 20 cents today. My plants are... well, planted. I'll pick up a few more.
DeleteI have yet to ever try any vegetables, which is surprising since I eat a lot of raw vegetables for lunch or dinner. But if you ever need herbs Heaven's do I got those! I myself have a minded the weather this is the kind of spring that I generally like.
ReplyDeleteThis spring doesn't bother me. It's comfy sweatshirt and sweat pants weather.
DeleteThe Republican stampede continues.
ReplyDeleteThe elephants are running out the door so fast they’ve bashed out the entire wall.
Rex in DC
Stampede is right. And get ready for the blame game.
DeleteOh, Jimmy and Comey.
ReplyDeleteWe're back to square one. Cankles CANNOT take that Kimmel goes IN and has no mercy mocking him. He's in a yearly contract, I think, but I'm sure he negotiated a very juicy exit strategy if they try to can him. And Disney will not put up with the public pressure.
I've started to watch Jimmy on YouTube also, so there's that.
Comey says he does not GAF. In public. The Cankles admin is all bark and no bite cause they're so fucking inept. It's all noise.
I can't wait until the MAGAts feel the squeeze. Wanna bet they say that it's Biden's fault because Obama was... bad?
XOXO
Jimmy is funny, but then Jimmy also has no more fucks to give. Some of them are already trying that and for a change, Main Stream Media is pushing back.
DeleteI've planted out cucumbers and aubergine already, even though they say not to here until mid-May. Fingers crossed no more frost! I've never had much luck with cucumbers but I'm determined to keep trying!
ReplyDeleteI planed cucumbers last yea and got one that was as big as my little finger.
