Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

To Be Continued

Well let's all say hello to Friday, and a rather good Friday it is, if I must say.

The Temps in central PA are supposed to climb up into the mid 90s (F) again.  They will be reaching into the upper 90s (F) in a few days.

Not wanting to jinx them, but I will point out that gas prices are continuing to drop.  This is a very good thing.  While I don't drive that much, I still hate having to spend a small fortune at the gas pump filling up my gas tank.

I had an odd situation at work yesterday.  As I was preparing to leave, customer asked about having carpet installed in his house.  I gave him my spiel, and after looking a few minutes he decided to set up a measure.  I typed in his phone number to see if he was in our system and... I recognized his name.  I had worked with his sister over 35 years ago.  She was in a totally different department, so while we chatted now and then, we weren't friends.  About 14 years ago she friended me on Facebook.  Nine years ago, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and she turned her Facebook page into a support page.  At one point, she had successful surgery to remove the tumor.  However, if you know anyone who's had pancreatic cancer, successful surgeries are quite often short lived.  The cancer came back.  Three years ago, she died.  Rather than tell this customer I had known his sister, I kept silent.  He seems like a nice guy and didn't think he needed to revisit painful memories.

And, of course, last night there was this:

I laughed so hard I almost spilled my wine.  Many, many people are talking about watching Josh run.  For a sitting senator, he had a very bad night.  Isn't that nice?  Oh, and evidently #Fistpump McRunpants is now trending.

As for the hearing?  While I haven't checked, I'm sure a majority of Americans are talking about what was presented.  While Josh had a bad night, for Trump the hearing was disastrous.  The fact that while rioters were crashing in through the windows, he was calling Senators trying to delay the certification.  One of the most telling moments for me was when the Orange Anus was recording the Tweet to tell the seditionists to go home.  Someone opened a door behind him, and he heard it and paused until he was told the person had gone away.  This many was totally aware of everything around him.  He is evil.

As for the Republican party?  Are these hearings helping to diminish its power?  I think so.  Conservatives have always been in the minority.  Thanks to Trump, their ugly nature is being revealed.  They are not good people.  They are selfish.  And they so desperately want to say, "shut up, we're in charge."

Oh, and these hearings are not over.  This was just part one.  Part 2 will be heading to your TV screens closer to the midterms.  To Be Continued.

Diving Deeper

Holy Crap!  It's Tuesday!  Don't time fly.  Seems like only yesterday my weekend began, and now it' over. Still, I will admit to getting much more done then I had been expecting.  I even managed to get the lawn mowed.  This is the 2nd time I've mowed it during a drizzle.  And, let's be honest, it's not as though I need to worry about shrinking.  I was sanforized a long time ago.

Another loaf of wheat bread was baked yesterday, and once again it's delicious.

A few more aquarium plants are arriving today.  The rest of Baby's Breath is going to be tossed into the compost bin.  There was nothing in the description about the plant overwhelming a tank.  Nor was mention made of how that mass of teeny, tiny leaves gathered large amounts of uneaten fish food.  The last one I pulled out weighed in at 12 oz and was about the size of a basketball.  This one is almost as large.  Soon the fish will have more space to swim.

And I have lots of baby peaches!

And isn't that Liz Cheney a pistol!  One of my news feeds called her a pain in the GOP's side, they were being kind.  The far, ugly right hate her.  She's refusing to bow down and worship the sphincter of Loser #45.  Don't be confused, however, she's not speaking on behalf of Centrists, and Independents , and least of all Democrats.  Nope.  She is the voice of that 9% of Republicans who broke away the Insurrectionists.  Without those votes, while they might win local elections, they'll never get into the Big House...again, and that sets their butts on fire.  Ouchy.

Oh, and one of the things trending on Reddit this morning was "Josh Hawley is Pro-Hate Crime."  This is a party that's in a pond of deep shit, and instead of trying to get out, their simply diving deeper.

The Guilty

Friday.  While today is considered by some to be the end of the work week and is a day off for me, the next 24 hours are just a brief hiatus in my work schedule.  There are chores.  Yep, I've already got one load of laundry in the dryer and a second churning away in the washer.

I did block out a number of sequential days to take off in February.  I need to remind myself not to look at the calendar since those days are over a month away, during inventory, I believe.  Of course, that's no longer something I need to worry about; no more overnights prepping the overheads.

And some running socks were ordered, bright colors.  You do know I'm into bright colors.  This is one of the pair.  Now isn't this pretty?

Not surprising, helmet head Betsy DeVos has tendered her resignation.  She may be a Cracker Jack Crazy billionaire, but that doesn't make her stupid.  She desperately wants to avoid any guilt by association.

And who is coming to the support of the Idiot Jerk?  Well, Republicans, sort of, since many will condemn his actions without mentioning his name.  They are so concerned about his base.  And, of course, they are all suffering from the same guilt association Betsy has, which is why many are deflecting the blame and placing the wrong on other's shoulders.

Yesterday, at work, there was an associate who was claiming the Democrats had paid and bussed Antifa members to the capital. "Several busses," he claimed.  So, I did what comes naturally to me, I told him to shut up.  When he repeated this lie, I said, "shut up, you old fool."  He said he wasn't one, so I repeated myself... and he shut up.  This is the only thing these people understand, that and having their representatives voted out of office.  They do not understand that in just 2 years many of them are going to be fired.

On a brighter note, that wannabe tinfoil dictator apprentice, had a book deal with Simon & Schuster go south.  And this loser is angry.  He doesn't understand the consequences which can result from his actions.  This shithead thinks he can do what he wants.   For those who don't know, Josh is a Senator from Missouri, and here's a pic of Josh supporter the rioters on Wednesday.  He needs to be voted into oblivion... but then they all need to be voted into oblivion.
