Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Carried Away

And here in Central PA the rain continues.  Purportedly, the showers and thunderstorms should end sometime tomorrow an we'll have a few days before they start up again.  Overnight lows are in the mid 50s (F), which is nice sleeping weather.  While the constant rain may be somewhat depressing, on the positive side everything I've planted is growing by leaps and bounds, but then so is my lawn; it will need to dry out before I can mow it.

More chores were done yesterday than I had been anticipating.  Having Monday's off is nice, however that extra day does mess with my mental calendar.  I was just sitting here thinking that it's Wednesday and payday is Friday, only to realize I've just moved into Tuesday.

And I did get a rowing session in yesterday.  I tried linking the rower to my Garmin account and there was an error.  I'd tried it before and got the same error, so I guess Concept2 and Garmin are having problems communicating.  I may try it again today.  Maybe I'll make the attempt using my tablet, since sometimes it depends upon the device you're using.

Did everyone hear about Republican Mike Lawler's Townhall?  An elderly woman who's unhappy with the Republican party was carried out.

I find it fascinating that the political party that so desperately wants to yell "shut up! we're in charge!" has totally failed to take into consideration the wants and desires of their constituents, those people who actually voted them into office.  I can't even imagine the mindset these Republican Congressmen and Senators have that permits them to think those people who cast their ballots did so in order to lose the benefits many of them consider sacred.  I know several Republicans who are furious that their Social Security might now be in jeopardy.  These people posted numerous memes on Facebook telling their representatives to stay away from their Social Security.  Now they're upset because those same representatives are ignoring them.  These Republican townhalls would not be erupting in chaos if these voters had simply paid attention.  But no, when the Orange Anus said that he wants to be a dictator for at least a day, they shrugged it off, saying "he doesn't mean it, that's just the way he is."  Now they're discovering to their horror that he really did mean it, and they're being carried away.

  1. It's stunning that the GOP thinks this is a good look ... dragging an elderly woman from a Town Hall.

    1. They know it's not, but it puts them in a doubly difficult position because their constituents want townhalls, and the administration is telling them not to have them.

  2. It hasn't been as rainy here, but we're getting the 'May showers' treatment.
The Repugs really don't care about their constituents because they have gerrymandered every single inch of their states and are confident they won't be voted out....

    XOXO

    1. I put a garbage can to gather the runoff from my roof and got 50 gallons in one storm. And I think the party of Trump is now concerned about their cultists starting to think.

  3. Well it's not like we didn't warn the dumb shits close to two years before the elections. And the same voters that think the wants and desires of their worries will be met....or highly gullible.

I too cannot believe how fast things are growing. They're things in my garden that just two weeks ago we're buds coming out of the ground and now they're in complete full bloom. I don't recall the garden ever growing this quick

  4. Those cops must be proud of themselves, gestapo boys for the GoP just like the freaks at ICE.
I would assume these constituents will vote wiser next election, but then again the GoP is out to suppress the vote so there will probably be a “controlled” vote.
The weather here in California has been rainy and it hasn’t stopped our roses from blooming like blockbusters.
They are hybrid roses, big showy flowers but with no scent. Everyone asks me what I do to have such great roses. Nothing, the prior owner was an elderly lady with a green thumb who planted the roses. She told me just prune ’em back in the fall and they’ll be hardy and healthy with blooms that won’t quit.

    1. The GOP is getting slapped silly every time they have a townhall, it's why the administration is saying they should only do virtual townhalls.
