The rain has returned. For today and tomorrow, my days off, of course, steady soaking rains are in the forecast. Temps will hover in the mid 60s (F), so that means another return to sweatpants and sweatshirts. Our future forecast doesn't look much sunnier. Showers and thunderstorms are scattered throughout the long range forecast. All of this rain we're getting is coming up from the south, so while we here in Central PA are dealing with the persistent showers, those down south are dealing with heavy rains.
Work was interesting. When I got there, the full time associate had already left for the day; he'd mentioned taking his granddaughter to see Thunderbolts on Sunday. Our aisle associate called to say he was coming in late; it was a beautiful sunny day and he doesn't like to work. So it was me... any my supervisor. Ten minutes after I sat down at the flooring desk a customer showed up wanting 16 linear feet of carpet. Cutting that much carpet is a 2 person job and I was by myself. As I stepped out into the middle aisle to see who was available, my supervisor returned. When I asked her to help cut the carpet she said, "I can't. I have to go to lunch. I have a meeting," and walked away. Hell's Bells! She's in charge of the department and she's prioritizing her lunch over customer service. So I reported her to the Specialty Manager. I do believe she has time management issues.
Here's an updated pic of the Greek Oregano I'm growing on the windowsill. It's coming along nicely.
Grifters gonna grift
ReplyDeleteYes, but he's a Super Grifter.
DeleteOh, those executive orders are just red meat for his base. And he LOVES writing them and feeling like The Golden Calf.
ReplyDeleteThat plane is the perfect Troyan Horse. He's also planning on keeping it. Tit for tat from the Saudis.
Yay for the plants!
XOXO
I honestly think he believes they're decrees, and somebody else writes them, and then reads them, because in his mind he's way to royal to do that.
DeleteAgain if this would be a Democrat accepting the plane but never hear the end of it. Although I'm hearing a lot of Republicans are having issues with I'm taking the plane also.
ReplyDeleteThis defines not only his personality but his soul. His favorite word is "my."
DeleteI was just about to ask if that plane would remain his when he leaves office but you answered my question. Wow, that should become the property of the next president - or should never have been accepted at all!
ReplyDeleteActually, he should refuse it. In his mind there is no right or wrong, there is only "me."
DeleteHow low can he go? Can’t that man be stopped? Gigi
ReplyDeleteWe're still in the descent stage, I'll let you know when he hits the bottom.
