Here in Central PA we have a very chilly 7 (F) outside. This afternoon, we may hit a high of 18 (F) Woo Hoo! These temps are the reason why we are getting snow, while a number of states to our south will be getting Ice. There! I said it! The Department of Justice wants weather forecasters to say "freezing rain" because ICE is getting such a terrible rap. Awww. As for how much snow we're going to be getting? We are still in the MAJOR category with total accumulations between 10 and 18 inches. I don't know about you, but when I see a spread that great I tend to think they're pulling these numbers out of their ass.
And, as you can seen, Blogger has fixed the Replies. What was really screwy about that whole thing was that if I signed into Riding On through my phone, I could reply to comments, but not when I signed in with either my laptop or PC.
There are four apartments in the blue house across the street, one of which is rented by a throuple. One of the young men parks his pick-up truck in front of my house, so yesterday I told him that if we do get as much snow as they're predicting they will plow his truck in. Plowed snow is difficult to shovel; with these cold temps it will turn to ice quickly. I also tried to tell the wife of the loud neighbors next to me, and her response was... oddly rude. As I started explaining about the snowplows, she cut me off, saying "You need to talk to Mike (her husband) about that. You can't talk to me." And with that she quickly went inside. So, was she telling me I simply couldn't talk to her, or that I couldn't talk to her about the snowplows. They park their 2 cars in front of their house. If we get 18 inches of snow, they will be buried by the plows. So it goes.
I work this afternoon. The store will no doubt be busy with people buying snow shovels, salt, and snow blowers... oh, that's right, they want us to call them snow throwers because blowers might be construed as having sexual connotations. This is what I use to take advantage of all of the free cardio.

Your neighbors will be providing hours of entertainment when they try to chisel their cars out of the snow. How ignorant.
ReplyDeleteThe wife is not the brightest bulb in the box, that's for sure.

But even I knew Melanie: My Life on the Mattress was not going to be good.
is that the actual title? I thought it was Legs Wide Open.
DeleteParking on the street ANNOYS me beyond belief!!!!! People in our neighborhood with one or two cars park on the street, mind you they have a two-car garage and driveway. The mind boggles. Most likely they have so much shit stored in the garage, they probably can't fit the cars in, defeating the purpose of a garage.
ReplyDeleteOur township made calls about parking in the streets, and said they will not be responsible for cars getting buried or street no plowed.
I'm planning on making a New England Pot Roast tomorrow.
The smart people on the block have pulled their cars back off of the street, my neighbors have not.
DeleteAnd the Melanie bio movie??? It must be a short film after the dirty parts get cut out, and any "work" it shows her doing.
ReplyDeleteI understand there's an XXX version, they just need a distributor.
DeleteMelania has done quite well working on her back and in the sack.

Well, if you only excel at one thing and that's sex, I'm sure your future's guaranteed.
DeleteOur snow ploughs are very good about pushing the snow either onto the island or up against hedges but hey, I wouldn't want to try to shovel my way out of ploughed snow. Well at least you tried with your neighbours. I'd set up my outdoor cameras for when reality hits!
ReplyDeleteThere's no other place to push the snow. The street I live on is very narrow and when we have heavy snows it becomes basically one lane.
DeleteCan’t imagine who would want to give money to see that movie when you can watch something more interesting than porn. I am all stocked up on groceries, waiting for the big snow, 20 to 40 cm and freezing temperatures. oops, I am just starting to see a few flakes falling. I expect to be stuck in house for at least two days before all the plowing gets done. The city has done the worst job of plowing in years. We have an incompetent Mayor who is more interested in bike lanes than anything else, cars be damned.. have fun at work and that meal sounds really nice. Gigi
ReplyDeleteYour forecast pretty much matches ours. We have around 15 cm already and the snow's not supposed top stop until late this evening. The plows have already gone once. We have a large number of business surrounding Enola, so they're fairly good at snow removal.
