Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

The Palestinian Pogrom

Late entry today because... I finished the final draft of The Body in History yesterday and stayed up late, and had a couple of glasses of wine to celebrate.  The manuscript will be going to my first editor on Thursday.  Now, isn't that good news?  This is my 8th book! and I already have notes for book 9.

Outside, we have overcast skies and the temps are in the upper 30s (F).  They're calling for ice tonight.  Not much, however, and, you might find this interesting, road crews have been cutting down over hanging branches on Wertzville Road for the past 2 weeks.  And yes, in case you are wondering, there is a suburb of Harrisburg called Wertzville and their road is the main traffic artery from my house to I81.  If you're going west, everyone uses the Wertzville Road.

Yesterday was a pretty good day, in spite of it being Tuesday.  Most Tuesdays are rather meh, I suppose because I've worked the previous 3 days and we all know how much I like working.  Besides finishing the book, the aquarium in the living rooms got a good cleaning, laundry was done, and because it was so warm (in the upper 40s (F) the backyard was de-pooped.  Howie's gotten good about doing all his bathroom breaks outside, and if he has an accident inside it's usually my fault for not opening the back door so he can "go potty outside."

Of course this happened yesterday, too.  As you can see, the eyes have it.

\
In case you missed it, though I doubt any of you did, the Orange Anus wants to send our young men and women (oh, that's right Hegseth's in charge of the military now) to Gaza.  Orangie wants to relocate every single Palestinian so he can build a hotel complex.  Of course, he did get Bibi's approval.  So, what happens when you put two criminal minds together?  They decide to throw a Palestinian Pogrom.  As you can tell from the WTF eyes, this decision of his and Bibi's took everybody by surprise.  Will you just look at them eyes as he just blubbers his way through his early stage of dementia.

And, of course, I need to touch on Elonia and the Treasury Department.  This info isn't getting a lot of hot air time on Fox Entertainment, but then it is something they want to keep from the Cultists.  Other Main Stream Media outlets are talking about Elonia and his team of young, nerdy males stealing your data from the government.  The recommendations I'm seeing are, if you're collecting Social Security, to print off a hard copy of your Benefit Statement and Benefit Letter, and also a save a copy to your hard drive, just in case Elonia and his team of nerdy sex toys change or delete your data.

And, finally, I saw Orangie is going to sign an Executive Order ending the Department of Education.  That is something an Executive Order cannot do, but a wannabe dictator thinks he can do.  There will be litigation.  Sadly, his cultists believe this will decrease their taxes.  Hahahaha.  Are you laughing at them, too?  They're going to still owe the Fed the same amount, however their state taxes will need to go up in order to pay for the monies Orangie and Elonia are diverting to their own personal tax break.  Why are Republicans so damn stupid?

Retail and the IRS

Yes, that time of year is approaching when vast numbers of Americans file with Turbo Tax as fast as possible in order to get their return.  Oh, yes, and quite a number of Americans do get refunds.   What do they do with those refunds?  Spend them! I can tell you, I work in Retail and Retail looks forward to Income Tax Time.  Why?  Because those checks are spent on things like, appliances, and x-box's, and carpet, and a host of other things people put off buying until they get that check.  Christmas helps grow the economy and so does Tax Time.  Which makes me wonder why the Republicans are so dead set on screwing over the middle class and their tax cuts in order for the wealthy to keep theirs.  Face it, the Koch brothers don't race down to Home Depot in order to take advantage of their $37 whole house installed carpet.  Yet, if you're a middle class home owner that is something which may be high on your refund spending agenda.  I know there are going to be people in my community who will go out and buy a new refrigerator, or washer and dryer, on mattress set.  They may decided to replace that sofa which, after ten years of kids jumping up and down on it, has no spring left.  Do you think the rich have to wait until income tax time to make these purchases?  No way.  It's almost as if the Republicans are expecting to hear "hey, let me drop the soap so I can bend over."

I always like getting the check.

And, as always, they want entitlements on the table (define entitlements as social security).  Do you really think the wealthy are worried about paying their bills in their retirement years?  Are they concerned about whether their social security check will cover all of their medications and still let them put food on the table?  Of course not, but somebody needs to pay.  They prefer to penalize the middle and lower classes then those upper crusters who seem to have them on a very short leash.  I don't think they comprehend that stability is only maintained when there is a balance to the structure.
