Thursday... and I get to go back to work... and I'll get to go back for 6 days in a row - no breaks. Ah, well, that's life.
I rode 5 miles on the bike this AM. It was okay. I'm much better later in the morning or early in the afternoon. This is one of my personal challenges, to hop on the bike at 0615 and ride for 12 - 15 miles. This means that tomorrow morning I'm going to have to jump on the bike and ride at least 6 or 7 miles.
Saw some biting comments in Bloomberg yesterday about the Gary Cohn and his departure from the Idiot Jerk's administration; that he stayed long enough to give himself and his other billionaire buddies a permanent tax cut.
Oh, and I saw that Betsy DeVos walked out of a press conference down at Parkland... after taking 5 questions in about 5 minutes. The students aren't happy because, she was only prepared to put in an appearance... photo-ops, you know? What more can you expect from a clueless billionairess who was educated, to some small degree, at an expensive private school. This woman will never understand that her net worth has little, if any, bearing on her intelligence. This problem is almost pandemic among the wealthy. She wears the concept of "I'm rich so I'm smarter than you," like a well fitting dunce cap, which means she's stylishly stupid.
When I went up to bed last night I'd found that both dogs had gotten there before me. This is somewhat unusual in that Lily sleeps on the sofa till I head upstairs, and then follows me up. However, last night, when I turned on the bedroom light, this is what I found.
That's a queen size bed, and as you can see, they didn't leave me a lot of room.
When you hit middle age you really only have two choices: you can get fat and lazy until you roll over and die, or you can can get off your ass and do something, like maybe ride a bike.
Bluntness
I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Drizzly time of year
Well, it's Wednesday, the last of my 4 days off, and we have snow... slight snow, barely covering the ground. Last week they said 1-3 inches and we ended up with over 6. This time they said we might get more than 6 and... well... we might get about 1/2 inch. Forecasters had said we'd have snow from midnight last night until midnight tonight... now they're saying this weather event will be over sometime this afternoon. Ooops. There goes my free cardio.
The Idiot Jerk's administration lost another one, some guy named Cohn, and the hardliners are doing the happy dance. Even when these fools look in the mirror and see pure stupidity they fail to understand. Their economic plans are based on 80 year old models, or I suppose, to be more precise, they want things to go back to the way they were 80 years ago. They think by setting up vintage trade policies they can turn back time, that the world will give them what they want; not going to happen. They will never understand. So, what do you do when those in charge fail to comprehend reality? You take them out of power, give them jobs more suited to their capacities, like caddies. I'm sure these people would find driving around in a golf cart and fetching balls rather fun.
I started watching "God's Own Country" last evening. Inevitably I started making comparisons to "Brokeback Mountain," which isn't really fair. I stopped it after about 40 minutes and will watch the rest... maybe later today.

I also want to get out the steamer and start taking down the boarder in the dining room. It should come down fast.
I do wish it were sunnier out, of course, we are approaching spring; a drizzly, rainy time of year.
