Hello, Monday. What's on tap today? For me? An 8 hour shift at work.
Outside the skies are overcast. There's a 90% chance of thunderstorms, though there doesn't seem to be a solid band of rain heading towards the region. The air is humid, so I guess storms are just going to start popping up here and there this afternoon.
Work was slow yesterday. I'm expecting the same thing today. Business is down all across the region. They finally, at last night's store meeting, said something to the effect that we're suffering through the retail version of the downside of Covid. Honestly, I don't believe anyone in corporate America gave it a thought, that would be their greed blinding them to the truth.
They painted my neighbor's house yesterday a light gray. They sort of left the white trim (there's overspray which they're not cleaning off). Everything is gray, even the porch floor, and it's all tracked up with dirt already. They painted over aluminum siding that's close to 40 years old. Aluminum siding lasts between 20 - 40 years. That coat of paint is not going to keep it from breaking down. Even the porch light got painted.
Thing 45 and Vlad are both lunatics and the world is slowly seeing that.
ReplyDeleteI suspected it's always happened to authoritarians throughout history.
DeleteOhhh they did the whitewashing. It's going to be sold. That's what people do when they want to sell a property they know may be a little bit more than a fixer-upper.
ReplyDeleteAnd the whole Russia thing? Whoa, Nelly. The Russian bots were absolutely out of their little heads on Twitter trying to divert attention to... Ukraine. Which tells me Vlad was in panic mode. We may know more in the months to come.
And Jabba the Orange is in full xtianist proselytizing mode. And they will lap it up, because he's as hateful as they are...
XOXO
Yeah, it's going to be sold. The owner told me he's asking $170K.
DeleteWell the house certainly looks crisp and clean in the picture at least. But my God they even painted the address and mailbox!! I hope no one was looking for the house cuz they'll never see the house numbers!
ReplyDeleteAh, yes, the house number, and the porch light, too.
DeleteI am finding the whole attempted coup in Russia so fascinating. I have no idea when the truth will ever come out but I look forward to reading about it some day.
ReplyDeleteWas it some sort of plan that ran awry of itself and became and almost coup? Evidently the troops that are being forgiven are going to live in Belarus, too
DeleteSeen from a photo that house colour doesn't look too bad to me. That being said, it really wouldn't look good here. Here we need warm colours because of the cold weather. The grey would have to be saved for homes near the ocean!
ReplyDeleteThe owner stopped by the flooring desk yesterday & told me he's asking $170,000 and he's probably going to get it.
