We have a warm day in store for us here in Central Pa with a high in the mid 50s (F). Tomorrow, if the forecasters are correct we might even hit the low 702 (F). Sadly, I will be working. On Tuesday, my day off, the temps are supposed to drop again. This is normal Spring weather, so even though we've not officially hit the midpoint between Winter and Summer, I'd say that Spring has arrived.
I did work yesterday. I got a measure. That will please management. I also had a nice vinyl plank sale, which will please management even more. Today I'm going to sell an installation. That's nice. Keep them smiling. The new flooring specialist who was hired about 2 months ago told me that he's given his notice. He's going to work for a sound system company. He's a nice kid, though his news didn't really surprise me. He's smart and very affable, but at 24 years of age, he's already had quite a number of jobs. Wisely, he gave notice, rather than just quitting. This means we're going to be looking for another flooring specialist. Anybody interested?
The Oscars are on tonight. Because I go to the movies a lot, they're the only award show I watch. As usual, I have my favorites. Unlike so many others, I'm not going to give any predictions. What I will say is that there are 2 big favorites for best picture. Sometimes, when this happens, voters will cancel each other out and another film will win. This is also true with the best actor category, though Timmy may have danced himself out of the competition. Two actors from the same film are nominated for the supporting actor and that's never a good thing. One thing to remember, no matter who wins, no one is going to get gypped. These films and actors nominated are all very talented. Simply getting nominated is a boost to their careers. I've seen a number of these nominated films and every one of them is outstanding.
And now on to the burning question of the hour. Is Bibi dead or alive?

The stupidity and corruption take my breath away.
ReplyDeleteThe amount of corruption is simply unbelievable.
DeleteWhen buffoons rule ....
ReplyDeleteAnd we're all waiting for buffoons to die.
DeleteBibi dead? The world couldn't be that lucky.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the Oscars in years, and I don't even watch the fashion segment anymore...most are disappointing. Seems like a lot of hoopla for one night, but then I never did get into award shows.
Yes, that's the belief that he's gone. I never watched the fashion segment because, to be honest, I simply don't care. I'm hoping to see Tim Chalmette loose after his negative comments about ballet and opera.
