Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Drizzles

We have drizzles here in Central PA.  Our temp is going to be very static today, neither rising nor falling, but hovering at 65 (F).  That's not a bad temp for Spring.  Our skies are seriously clouded over and, as I said, we have drizzles.  If they'll develop into soaking rains is anybody's guess, though that possibility certainly exists.  At this time of year, rain is nice.

Much was accomplished yesterday.  Two more veggie plants were purchased and planted.  I'd been hoping to find an eggplant, that hope was smashed when I walked down row after row of seedlings and found mostly tomato and pepper plants.  I stood and counted, there were 17 zucchini plants and 9 cucumber plants.  Since I've already planted 6 tomato plants, I went with 1 green pepper and 1 cucumber.  I also bought a pink thing.  The idea is to surround the raised garden with flowering plants to make the veggie flowers interesting to all the flying insects, bees included, in my back yard.  Here's the pink thing, it's supposed to get about a foot wide.

Howie got a hold of one of the small, disposable plastic containers and brought it into the house where, using a slice of ham, I bribed him into giving it to me.  This morning I threw it away.  As I walked down the back steps, I told him "this is trash," and after throwing it into the recycle bin I turned to see my neighbors heading back into their house.  I did what I always do when I see them, I said a cheery "morning," and was ignored.  They had a loud argument either very late last night or very early this morning.  This is the new normal I got ever since they moved in.

And oil prices are dropping again this morning.  There was a TACO yesterday, and evidently a memo regarding the Strait of Hormuz.  I'd seen a while back that Orangie was looking for a way to get out of the war he started with Iran.  He wants to walk away and claim victory, in order for gas prices to go down.  He needs that to happen to in order for the Republicans to not totally lose out during the midterms.

Oh, and by the way, that little ballroom he wants to build?  It's now going to cost the tax payers $1 billion.  That's going to be a terrible burden for everyone young.  Their futures are going to be crippled because of the GOP.

  1. I cannot stand to listen to or look at the OA, but saw a clip with children re: fitness tests being reinstated. Poor kids!
I guess I missed something about the “ballroom”…didn’t the tech bros hand over a couple $100 million back not too long ago?

    1. We didn't get that much rain, but we did get a bit. It was nice. Everything is so green here.

  2. Every single voter needs to remember that Cankles promised no taxpayer money for the Jeffery Epstein Memorial Ballroom™ and now he wants a billion on top of the billions spent on his Nowhere War.
Vote every single GOPer who carries water for the Fat Fuck out of office.

    1. I'm wondering what happened to those millions of $$$ that he's already received to build his monstrosity.

  3. Apparently only 26% of eligible voters bothered to make the effort in yesterday's Ohio primary. At least Brown is on the ballot in November. I wish Franken would come back. 1.5" of rain overnight. *glub*. Kris in Ohio

    1. Not only do you have Brown, but you have Acton, too, who's polling so much better than Ramaswamy.

  4. Up here in Toronto we have 45 degrees and drizzly. Our gas prices are still going up, almost $2.00 a litre. Wish the fat fuck would do us all a favour and drop dead. As far as we are concerned he has lost the war. Love the way Iran is mocking him. Gigi

  5. Ugh. Rude.
Rude people are the WORST. Let them be. They can drown in their own bitterness. Shitty neighbors.

And love the idea of flowering plants next to the veggies. Very smart. And gas is $4.89 here. Cankles is manipulating the market again?
    Shocking.
Let’s see when he TACOs again.

    Howie!!!

    XOXO

    1. Yes, they are rude. They're not the brightest, either. And the TACOs seem to happen on Tuesdays, and here lately they're all about the strait or the the war.

  6. The pink thing is dianthus or sweet William as it is sometimes known. They are very pleasing and get bigger and spread more every year and will bloom all summer if they stay happy. I have several. Now on two a two-day work week.....

    1. I might buy another one of those pink things, though possibly so heather would look nice, too. Right now I'm working 4 days, but 3 of them are partial. We'll have to get together for lunch after the next book comes out.

  7. My flower shopping tends to be based on "pink things and blue things too", but at least I can easily find eggplants here. Now I've just gotta make 'em grow!

    1. The "no eggplants" was a bit irritating. Why buy it if you can grow it. And my harvest last year was meager. I'm hoping it will be better this year.
