Petey Hegseth Gets Aroused

 Well, weather forecasters are predicting that storms will be (possibly) pummeling us today with high winds and torrential downpours.  There is a large front that stretches from West Virginia up into Quebec moving eastward dropping substantial amounts of rain.  Tomorrow should be cooler for everybody on the eastern seaboard.

I did take a personal day rather than go into work today.  I still have the occasional cough and nasal drainage, as well as some slight chest congestion.  This cold has been dragging itself out since Tuesday.  If my memory serves me correctly, I had a cold about 2 years ago that also hung around for about a week.  I'll go to work tomorrow because I don't have any personal time left, and taking off without time is an offense.  I have 80 hours of vacation time on the books, but we're not permitted to use vacation time for personal time.  

Yesterday morning at 10:01 I dropped the broken printer off at the UPS Store in Mechanicsburg.  That's right, I carried that big, bulky box the 30 feet from my front porch to my car without coughing or sneezing once.  The woman at the UPS Store was helpful in getting it onto a rolling cart and pulling it inside.  I just checked the tracking number and that sucker is on it's way back to CDW.  Now all I'm waiting for is one of those survey's which asks "how did we do?"

Also yesterday, without the approval of Congress the Orange asshole Anus changed the Department of Defense to the Department of War, and we have one of the most unqualified people in America running it.  I don't doubt for a second that this new title erotically aroused the drunkard Petey Hegseth.  This name change is going to cost the United States millions but Orangie don't care, he ain't paying for it.

And if that wasn't absurd enough, yesterday Mikey Johnson floated another trial balloon regarding the Epstein files:  that Orangie was actually secretly working with the FBI in an investigation of Epstein.  Yep, that's the reason Orangie was spending so much time on Epstein's island, and in his townhouse in New York, and going to parties with him.  Now, I'm sure there are some cultists who might actually believe this, but they are the dumbest of the dumb (and you didn't think MAGA cultists couldn't get any dumber).

Finally, after the terrible jobs report, Orangie is now intimating that our economy might not recover until 2027....   Woah!  Did he just say that inflation is going to continue to increase and unemployment will grow steadily worse until 2027?  This is not going to go over well with the Cultists.

Relying on Dishonesty

 So, that damn cold is hanging on just like that old Supremes' song that all too easily send an ear bug into your brain.  Normally, when I get a cold it's here and gone in the blink of an eye.  This one?  Evidently I'm dealing with a slow blink.

On the other hand, our weather is nice.  The nights have been cool and good for sleeping.  Our days have been warm, upper 70s (F) and low 80s (F).  Yesterday we had rain... twice.  The first time was in the afternoon and Howie was out and got wet.  So, he and I had a fun game of towel, towel, who's got the towel.  Then last evening a thunderstorm moved through the area and we had more rain.  

And I've been wrangling with  CDW, the company that sold me the broken Xerox printer.  While they did replace it, as should be, they don't want to pay UPS to pick it up at my house.  The customer service rep emailed me, "but that would cost us money."  So, I've got to load a71 lb. (32 kg) printer into my car and drive it over to the UPS store.  Well... damn.  After reading that email, the first thing I did was go out and punch in the hand holds in the box to make carrying it easier.  I was a bit surprised when I picked it up; it wasn't that heavy.  Later this morning, I'll drive it over to UPS.  CDW?  If they send me a review, will have to deal with some professionally scathing comments.

And RFK Jr testified yesterday and it was a rough day for him.  Good.  This guy has a liberal arts degree in history.  He has never taken a single medical course while in college.  He's also openly admitted to injecting heroin for 14 consecutive years.  Yesterday he was called a liar to his face multiple times.  He would say, "I never said that," and both Republican and Democratic congressmen had the receipts.  They quoted him verbatim, and still he lied.

Yesterday ADP released their jobs report for the month of August.  It was dismal.  Only 54,000 jobs were created in the US.  Companies are simply not hiring.  The biggest non-hiring states are those GOP run states in Center of the country.  This means that the job's numbers Orangie releases will be fudged to make him look good.  He has never, ever relied upon honesty.  If it doesn't make you look good, then change it.
