So, we've finally arrived at the weekend. It's warm outside, mid 50s (F), and supposedly there are showers moving through the area. Temperatures are predicted to climb up into the 60s (F) for the next few days, and then drop back down into what are considered normal temps. Of course, nothing is normal these days. I can understand why some people find things unsettling. We live in different times.
Yesterday was sort of a meh day. I had done legs on Thursday, so my quads were a bit stiff, at least that was my excuse for not riding the bike. I did rake around the topsoil in my back yard. I work in the flooring department today, so I'm working under a time restriction today and, joy of joys, I'm really happy about that.
I also spent some time attempting to hem up the cuffs on those new pants I bought. Wow, sometimes patience is definitely one of my virtues at times. It wasn't difficult, but I no longer have the temerity to sit and stitch away. I sewed for about... oh... maybe fifteen minutes and had completed about 5 inches of one cuff when I decided it was time to put the needle and thread away. Iron on hem tape is arriving today. I have no problem opting for the easy way out.
For dinner, I made, as the British might say, a lovely shrimp salad. It was tasty. The remainder will be my lunch before I go to work. I also made pickled eggs using vinegar, sugar, and red beets. Here in Central PA, we call them red beet eggs, but just about everyone else says they're pickled. They are tasty, too.
He's not even in office and the madness and stupidity has begun.
ReplyDeleteAnd Wall Street hates it. If he keeps this up, he'll be less popular than W. Bush before he's even sworn in.
DeleteThe only thing that is going to save us from the worst of his intentions is the absolute incompetence he surrounds himself with. And the dementia.
ReplyDeleteAnd the American people who will develop a lynch mob mentality when the price of eggs doesn't drop.

ReplyDeleteThe only reason I didn't throw away my sewing kit is because there is that occasional button that needs to be sewn.
