Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

The Bad Idea

Let me repeat something I've said before, there used to be a saying, "April showers bring may flowers," well, while we still may get some of the showers, now we have May Rains.  The temps outside are in the mid 60s (F) and are expected to climb up into the mid 70s (F) this afternoon, and, in case you didn't know, they're going to be accompanied by rains.  Not showers, those happened back in April.  This first set of rains began on Saturday with thunderstorms, and will continue until sometime on Tuesday.  Every single day we will have rains.  Boy, will my garden grow.  We will then have a few days to dry out, but don't fear, rains are expected to start again next weekend.

We've had Mays like this for the past 3 or 4 years and the summers that followed, while there were occasional days when the temps hit the upper 90s (F), were comfortable with most of the serious hot air staying to our south.  Could this be how climate change is effecting the Appalachian mountain area of Pennsylvania.  Will we end up becoming a rain forest?

Here's our current weather map.  The rain, rather than moving west to to east, or even southwest to northeast, is all coming up from the south.  We have a lot of rain to our south.

Anyway, all of this rain is having a dampening effect on our sales.  Who in their right mind would want to buy lawn furniture that will need to be covered because of the rain, for that matter, who wants to sit outside under a lawn umbrella in the rain?  Not I.

And I saw where Vlad dropped the "N" word again, in this case it stands for nuclear.  He said something to the effect that he hoped he didn't have to use nuclear force in the Ukraine.  Is it an idle threat?  Probably.  He is making it out of desperation, however, because he's losing the war he started.  You know, the one that was supposed to take 3 days because the Ukrainians would crumble at the Russian onslaught.  Using a nuclear weapon would define both him and his government as inept beyond belief.  This war he started because there was no one to keep him in check would be seen as one of the biggest blunders in Russian history.  This is why authoritarian governments are bad and democracies are good.  In a democracy leaders are kept in check, they can foist their idiocies upon the general public.  This is something Conservatives will never understand, it's what makes them fascists.  If you don't believe me, just listen to Stephen Miller.  He despises choice and free will.  He needs to control every aspect of you and your family's life.  Children will be taught to obey their parents.  He's a control freak on steroids, and the Orange Anus wants him as his National Security Advisor.  Bad idea.

  1. Someone needs to get Vlad to a high floor near an open window ... or even the top of the stairs will do.

  2. Both Russia and America could use a good defenestration of their leaders.

    1. And their problem is that neither understands that you need to have a majority behind you. This is why Hitler succeeded and they will fail.

  3. Just when I was getting used to all this glorious weather we got the thunderstorms rolling in. I'm really hoping we don't get a freeze because I have already planted out quite a few veggies and don't want to lose them. Will I ever learn?

    1. It would be a terrible cold snap for we here in Central PA to worry about a freeze, but boy are we getting the thunderstorms and torrential rains.
