Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Joni Ernst, Soulless Christian

Right now the outside temp is 52 (F) and our forecast is calling for partially sunny to sunny days for the next 5 days.  That's fine with me.  Because of all of the rain we've had things are growing bazoom, bazoom.  That's fine.  Green has always been one of my favorite colors.

And the storm that went through was much stronger than I had originally thought.  While I only had some small branches come down, in other places whole trees fell.  The Wertzvelle Road, my main route to the store, is still closed in one place because a large tree came crashing down onto the power lines.  With all of the trees around my house I am considering the purchase of another chain saw.  I tossed the old one out last year after it developed a serious leak of chainsaw oil.

Work was almost meh yesterday.  I did get 2 measures, and one of my measures for window shades had just arrived to purchase as I was leaving.  We have an associate in the department who is meticulously detailed when it comes to designing shades and blinds; he was handling the sale for me.  Believe me when I tell you I don't mind working with the flooring aspect of the department, but blinds and shades?  I have absolutely no interest in them.

Of course, Joni Ernst gave a non-apology for telling her constituents at a townhall that "we're all going to die."  This is Joni so all you can recognize her if you see her.

Joni posted a video of herself walking through a cemetery as she made her non-apology; I guess this was to drive home her point that everybody dies.  Among other things, she said she was glad she didn't have to bring up the tooth fairy as well.  And, as some of you might be expecting, she did end her video by saying those concerned about death should turn to God.  Joni is, for all intents and purposes, a soulless Christian.  I suspect she is one of those anti-abortionists who is anything but Pro Life.  She's an authoritarian who only cares about the quality of her own life, the lives of others?  Well, those poor souls are responsible for the quality of their own lives, and... well, it's no business of hers if they have to suffer.  Joni believes that if you can't drag yourself up by your bootheels, then it's you're own damn fault you are suffering.  And, because Joni is a Christian, all she needs to do is ask for forgiveness and all is hunky dory with her soul, except Joni is Soulless, so her prayers are never, ever going to be answered.

    1. True, though it wasn't until Trump that so many Senators and Congressmen allowed their true colors to shine through.

  2. I know it's not politically correct to comment on people's looks (and God knows I'm no oil painting myself) but is that a dead skunk on her head?

    1. Sorry, not a dead skunk, more like 2 dead rats, and the style is sharp and coldly severe like her heart.

  3. Up here today the temp. is 44 degrees. Double yuk. All that rain means the weeds are now two feet high. Everyday I feel happy and grateful to be Canadian and to live in a country where everybody is valued and taken care of. I just can’t imagine how you are feeling down below the imaginary line. Keep up the protests, the taco is starting to crumble. Gigi

    1. You're right, the weeks have taken off and are outgrowing the grass. And everyday the taco is a bit more moldy.
