Good Morning People! Outside, the temp is a comfortable 63 and the sun is supposed to shine all day. We have the same forecast for tomorrow, too. In fact, the forecast for the next 3 days is nice. Tomorrow I'm going to wack weeds and mow grass. We're not supposed to get any rain again until Saturday, when we're supposed to get another drenching.
I talked to my friend Justin about coming to trim back the holly bush I have out front. Because he's 6 feet, 6 inches, he'll be able to cut back the top and I will not climb up on a ladder. A word of advice to everyone out there, make sure you have at least one tall friend.
I drove down to Lebanon yesterday to go over my bloodwork with my new primary care physician, Dr. Rai, pronounced rye. He's a very nice gent in in mid-40s. That's a good thing. I'm tired of having my doctors retire on me. As for my bloodwork, I'd already looked at the results. He asked if I wanted to continue with testing my PSA and I told him I didn't think it was necessary. The big bugaboo was my blood sugar. It's high... sort of... 138. This has always been an issue. I am not overly concerned. It's a genetic thing. My sister's is diabetic. She laughed at that number, telling me, "that's low." Since this is a "been there, done that," situation, I know how to get my sugar back to acceptable levels: less grazing, more exercise. What joy.
Besides the doctor's visit, yesterday was a necessary day away from news and social media. I played video games and watched TV. There is so much bad going on in the world right now, breaking away for a day was such a joy.
The oregano I have growing on the windowsill has teeny, tiny flowers.
I do think we're going to be seeing a lot more uprisings now that started. How important he thinks it needs to happen. For a myriad of reasons. People are sick and tired of this bullshit and from politicians not listening to what we the people want. Granted most of this is the dumps doing but in general both parties have not delivered on certain things yet. At the GOP is going to do a very good job of destroying this country and way the people will probably destroy the other half.
ReplyDeleteI do think you're going to see more and more protests as time goes on, not that the Republicans are going to listen, they're too busy screwing things up.
DeleteOh, we are heading to some Dark Times. Cheeto is targeting every Dem city he can find to invade with ICE and its goons. Gavin read him for filth yesterday and I hope every governor does the same.
ReplyDeleteAnd glad the test went well. Blood sugar levels can be troublesome.
XOXO
I'm not really worried about my blood sugar, I've been borderline for years.
DeleteIn my circles I'M the tall friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little taller than average, though no where near being tall.
DeleteThe MAGAs will have America turn into another Argentina. A country with populist and military governments and an economy racked by hyper inflation. and people living beyond their means,
ReplyDeletewith disappeared ones and a war of distraction.

This is because education is as foreign to them as any language that's not American English.
DeleteTall friends are extremely useful to have in supermarkets too where they stack shelves thinking that everyone is over 6 feet tall! Considering it's mostly women that do the shopping, sometimes their "logic" baffles me!
ReplyDeleteThey do that over here, too. It's not unusual seeing someone climbing up on the lower shelf to reach something on the top shelf.
DeleteThere are far too many uneducated people in America and they know not what they wish for. Too bad the rest of you are going to suffer. I am old enough to remember the second WW a bit and why it happened. Gigi
ReplyDeleteUneducated is an understatement. One of the main goals of schools is to teach people think; that's not happening.
