Once again our overnight temp did not drop below freezing. Right now we're sitting at around 37 (F). Cloudy skies are in the forecast, however, and they will keep our afternoon temps down. Still, after 2 weeks of not cracking the 20 (F) this is downright balmy. By Saturday, we should be up in the 50s (F), but only briefly. Temps will fall. We are, after all, still in winter for another 29 days.
And yesterday was meh, not because I didn't want to do anything. My eye exam, however, put the kibosh on doing a number of things. Overly bright and blurry meant I couldn't read or write until mid afternoon. As for my eyes? They're the same as they were last year. Nothing has changed. As proof of this, the glasses I wore to the exam were over 2 years old. This is a good thing.
This doesn't mean that I didn't get any editing in, I did.
There was also a surprise. When I checked my mail I found 2 print copies of Wine Spectator. Now, I will admit to enjoying the leisurely glass of wine every now and then, but there's no way I would spend $48 for subscription. Still, when I checked the mailing label the subscription is good unto 12/26. While some of the wines listed are expensive, there are quite few that are quite affordable.
Since the dilation period was over by mid-afternoon, I went to the movies last night to see Good Luc, Have Fun, Don't Die, which is kind of an action, comedy, sci-fi thriller about AI taking over and destroying the world. Except, there's this guy who comes back in time, he's done it 117 times already, to stop the AI. I liked it. Sam Rockwell is good as the unnamed protagonist. The visuals were at times mesmerizing.
Cankles can attack Iran. He's still a child rapist mentioned a million times in the files. And I bet some of these men being arrested now will soon start talking about what and who they saw at Pedophile Island.
