CPAC prepares for the Impact

 Today is Sunday.   Today is also the last day of February.  Tomorrow I get to flip my Red Hot Calendar and see what March looks like.  Today is also a day off for me.  I do not have a lot planned, except for editing, going to my local Giant, and a few loads of laundry.  

I did sleep in because today is Sunday, my day off, and because I stayed up late watching a disaster film called Greenland.  I liked it.  Unlike Armageddon, where Bruce Willis saves the day, the happy ending here is just surviving.  This is not like other disaster movies.  There are no funny bits.  Gerard Butler gives a credible performance as a man trying to save his family.  It's worth the rental cost.

Yesterday was very busy at the store, until around late afternoon.  Then things began to slow down.  Saturday nights, like Sunday afternoons, are normally not that busy.  Things are slowly spinning back into what will be our normal routine.  I wouldn't be surprised if masks become part of our normal routine, especially since they almost totally eliminated the flu season.  Wearing a mask during certain times of the year appears to be the logical response in preventive medicine.

CPAC ends today.  For years the event was nothing more than a far right event where participants angrily spat out their shrill little prayers of anger.  Then 45 managed to get elected through the Electoral College began growing louder.  Rush Limbaugh, a fat racist with thin skin, cheered on their bitter craving for control.  And then Trump to center stage and the Republican party gurgled and bowed to their desperate, wannabe, tin foil dictator.  This year they celebrate his presence with a golden statue made of cheap fiberglass and spray paint.  Participants see him as a great comet ascending the heavens.  In reality, he is the party killer.  There is no hope for Republicans, no bunker in Greenland.  The louder he is, the more devastating his impact will be on the GOP.  Good.

My Night Before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas and things started moving
The meds in my throat are now really quite soothing
The snake with twelve squeakers is waiting in silence
With the red rubber chicken, they're timing their entrance,
And Biggie and Lily will have such a day

We all need a wall, they scream and they shout
What are you?  a fuckhead?  How can you have doubts?
"I'll shut down the government," he shouts out with glee
"This shutdown is mine as you sucker's can see!"
And Nancy and Chuck just sit there and smile
For just like in scrabble the proof's in the tiles
They're spelling impeachment, oh yes, that word fits
While Mueller's indictments give the Idiot Jerk shits
Our future looks brighter with each passing day
And like Biggie and Lily, we'll soon get to play.

And their heads will explode

I got a text from my brother this morning which read:  "Hillary and Trump will be the nominees.  Hillary will be the next president since there's no way he can win the General Election."  I sent him back a smiley face, not so much because I was happy, but more so in that I agreed with him.  We now know who the nominees for the 2016 Presidential race will because we already know that if Trump isn't on the GOP ticket there will be riots in Cleveland.

A riot is a very ugly thing, und I think it's about time we had one!

And, of course, with Hillary running the Republican pundits who've been pissing on the Clinton name for years will go into a feeding frenzy.  Trump will run the dirtiest campaign in history, which is probably a good reason for her to be the candidate - her minions will shove it right back in his face.  Remember Cuba Gooding, Jr and "show me the money?"  You're going to hear over and over and over again "show us your taxes!"  We will get to watch Rush Limbaugh collapse with apoplexy, and Ann Coulter's peroxide roots incinerate.  Breitbart will initiate a chain reaction, neurally transmitted, self-detonating, Molotov cocktail of such hatred their eyes will turn into laser beams as all of their heads explode.

Well, maybe not laser beams, but let's be honest here, the GOP has been inbreeding their hatred for the name Clinton for so long their own self-immolation is pretty much a far gone conclusion.  And in the end all that will remain will be the ashes of a party that lost its way, and gave into the dark side.

Inventory, Kim, Trump & Nancy... and PC version

Well, we're in the middle of inventory season.  I hate it. My schedule is shot to hell.  Lots of very late nights culminating in next Monday & Tuesday, they will be bad.  I'm in the store for 11 hours on Monday and then back in the store 5 hours later for another 11 hours.  So, how pleasant am I going to be?
There was amusement this past week:
Kim Kardashian posted some nude selfies and while a lot of people looked many, many criticized.  And she got mad.  They pretty much called her a slut...  She is totally clueless.  She doesn't understand that she's turned herself into nothing more then a piece of meat, and more like chipped beef rather then sirloin.  She doesn't realize she really is about as interesting as chipped beef on toast.
Trump had to cancel a rally because all of his little Trumplodites were getting way out of hand; they wanted to riot in Chicago.  This is really funny because for years and years and years Republican pundits, while not advocating violence, have been force feeding hatred down the throats of their base.  Every time Breitbart, or Limbaugh, or Coulter, or Ingram, or even that horses's ass Palin opened their mouths they spewed hatred towards anything not not meeting their standards of conservatism.  They've been shitting in their pants for years and now the stink has finally caught up with them.
And Nancy Reagan died.  Oh, well.  I feel bad for her kids, I'm sure they loved her dearly.  Unfortunately her husband was deified by the GOP because of his landslide victory, and they did so without ever analyzing that victory.  They ignored the fact that his approval rating soared to 97% when he survived an assassination attempt.  And they ignored the fact that nothing went wrong during his first term in office.  He didn't really unify the country.  Lots of people voted for the old fart because they liked him and nothing had gone wrong.  His wife, however, relied upon Mediums to set his schedule and flip-flop of stem cell research when her dear Ronnie was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

And finally, I did buy and PC version of Fallout 4 so I can mod it.  It was actually cheaper then buy then buying the download version by about $30.  I'm going to give my Xbox One version to a guy I work with who's wanted to buy it but hasn't been able to afford it.  I'm never going to use it again.
