Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Trolling Trump

Well hello World!  Here in Central PA we did break into the low 90s (F) yesterday.  Not a drop of rain fell, even though there was a 55% chance.  Today's high will chill out in the upper 80s (F).  Again, there is that stubborn 55% chance of precipitation.  I'm thinking it's not going to happen.  The long range forecast has us cooling down, with highs in the low to mid 80s (F).  Again, we shall see.  We're 2/3 of the way through summer, so that might be a possibility.

Yesterday was one of those days when I did get pretty much accomplished, including a decent upper body workout, and yet I have this vague feeling that I should have done more.  That may not be the best way to describe it.  Perhaps a better way of putting it is that when I look back on what was accomplished, I wonder why they seemed to take so much more time than usual.

Ah, well.  Today may or may not end up the same.  I've already got a loaf of bread in the bread machine.  Howie's not wild about the noise it makes when kneading the loaves.

And I did get what will no doubt be be the first of many letters from Sky Protection.  They are one of the millions of companies who provide independent "service agreements" for your vehicle.  And yes, this is for the new Outback that I just bought.  Amusingly enough, on Tuesday I received a letter from Subaru detailing the extensive service agreement that came with my purchase of the vehicle.

Here's another release from Governor Newsom's press office.  I'm betting that each and every one of these is like razor blades under Orangie's fingernails.  Being taunted is not something either he or his administration is good at dealing with.  Orangie wants bow down respect, and it ain't happening.  For those of you who haven't noticed, these mocking attacks are picking up speed.  His team is having problems with responding to the memes that are rapidly growing in number.  He has become a very large, stupid target.

As for Orangie's meeting with his blow bro Vlad today, expect nothing but another fawning session, with Orangie shooting furtive glances at his idol.  Will he get a private pat on the head?  I'm betting it's the only thing he ever prays for.  I'm betting that most world leaders are prepared to see him shit in his diaper; they know how easily praise, no matter how phony, will have him groveling.

Finally, did everybody see that Orangie apparently placed an unexpected call to Norway to ask them to give him the Nobel Peace Prize.  This is so far above audacious.  The fact that there are a number of people out there who believe his lies and think this is normal is disappointing as hell.

The Good Thing

Well, we did have rain yesterday afternoon.  We had a lot of rain.  Inches. I'm going to guess at least 4 inches fell in about an hour's time.  This storm was the reason certain parts of New Jersey are under a state of emergency because of this storm.  Certain areas of New York City were flooded as well.  The temps did drop afterward, but today's forecast is for the humidity to climb, so that this afternoon there will be, once again, the potential for heavy rains.

On result of the heavy rains was that my backyard did flood.  Outside the back door the water was about 2 inches deep.  Howie has no problem with rain or puddles of water, however he did decide to dig a hole and in doing so created made his self rather muddy.  Fun and joy commenced when  he came back into the house.

For me, yesterday was both eventful and noneventful, mostly because I ended up sitting at Faulkner Subaru for 3 hours.  No, my Crosstrek wasn't in need of repairs.  The original plan back in 2018 was to buy a car that was going to last for 15 years.  Well, I realized 7 years into the plan and had to put 4 new tires on my car that maintenance was going to get very expensive. It was also going to need new brakes.  And we do have these stupid tariffs; prices will go up and the probability of them coming back down is slim to none.  So, on days when I was working, I began searching.  I ended up choosing a Subaru Outback, much bigger than my Crosstrek.  As always, the color was very important.  I went with a color called Mahogany Pearl, or, as I've been telling people:  Purple.

From what I did see yesterday, the big news was that Charlie Kirk, the Cultist with no upper lip, flip-flopped on the Epstein problem.  After calling for every bit of the Epstein files to be released, this lipless wonder now says that we should move on...  Of course, this flip came after he received a personal phone call from the Orange Anus.  I'm betting that call was filled with coercive threats rather than casual requests.  Right now the question is whether Kirk's followers will drink the Kool-Aid.  Some may, but many, I suspect, believe so deeply the Epstein files will prove George Soros and high ranking Democrats are child traffickers, that it has now become one of their core values.  Crushing that belief will crack them apart mentally.  This is a good thing.

The Body Under Ice

A new Monday and a new week.  As usual, I'm scheduled to work today, but only for 6 hours: 12 - 6.  I can do that, especially since I'm off for the next 2 days.  That's so nice.

I was down in York yesterday for lunch with my friend Betsy.  One of the gifts I got for my 70th was a $50 gift card to Outback Steakhouse.  While I don't mind a decent steak on occasion, I'm more of a poultry, pork, or seafood kind of guy.  And Outback is okay for a sit down meal of fast food.  If you want fine dining, you go to a restaurant.  I thought the food was overpriced, and their desert menu had 7 items, 2 of which were variations on the ever popular carrot cake.  I ordered a chicken sandwich which came with one slice of swiss cheese and one strip of bacon, I know, I looked under the bun.  I will admit, however, that for a free meal it was quite tasty.

Otherwise, yesterday was quiet.  When I got home, I finished the last chapter of The Body Under Ice.  78,000 words, right now.  That will increase as I start to polish the manuscript.  As you can see, I have lots of notes.  Are there any secrets in the post-it notes?  Hhhmm, I don't think so.

I don't know if anybody else saw it, but Michael Steele, who used to be the head of the RNC, said publicly that he hopes Trump is in jail by the time the 2024 election rolls around.  That made me laugh.  There is a small segment of Republicans who understand the amount of damage the Orange Anus is doing to the party.  Honestly, if I were one of those Republicans, I'd want him in jail by next week so the public furor has a chance to die down.  Well, that ain't gonna happen.  He's going to be indicted maybe 2, 3 or 4 times, and then we're going to have to wait for the trial (s), and all that time he's going to be taking a baseball bat to the Republican base.  He will stretch this out until there are no Republicans left standing.

Marjorie Taylor dumbass has said that had she and Steven Bannon been running the January 6 riot, they would have succeeded.  Every time this stupid woman opens her mouth she dumbs down the GOP even more.

Finally, Elon the Stupid tweeted some shit about how his intervention in Twitter is going to save civilization.  He evidently doesn't realize that  the number of people on Twitter is small, being dwarfed by the number of people on Facebook.  He doesn't understand that quite a few of those people on Twitter aren't really people, just bots who will never be paying for a subscription.  There's a good possibility he will not even be able to save his own ass, let alone civilization.  He does put the shit in dumb shit.
