Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

The Bilious Bill

Our temps did hit 90 (F) yesterday.  We had full sunshine, too.  The day was very nice.  The same forecast is on tap for today as well, but then the chance of thunderstorms begins to increase.  I did turn on my Central Air because my upstairs gets quite a few degrees warmer than my downstairs, often by 10 degrees or more.  Since my bike, rowing machine, and dumbbells are upstairs I try and keep the temps comfortable; I don't want to suffer heat stroke on one of my rides through Italy.

To counter the expense of running my A/C, I'm drying more loads outside on the drying rack.  Everything except pants; they dry wrinkled and I don't want to have to iron them.

I mowed my front lawn yesterday, baked a loaf of bread, so I'm counting yesterday as a good day. I have a list of chores to do today and I think it's pretty extensive.  We'll have to see how many items I end up checking off.

So, this week I have 4 days off, Tuesday thru Saturday.  My schedule is the same next week.  Because I've have so much time off I thought I'd be able to get much accomplished, especially in the writing department.  Well, that ain't happening.  This doesn't mean I'm not getting a lot done around the house, I am, it just means that I'm not sitting down at the computer and firing up Word.  I'm hoping to change that today.

So, it looks like Tomwellborn has come up with a variation on the Orange Anus.  Nice.

And it seems as if Orangie's Big Bilious Bill is in trouble.  You see because Republicans have a small majority in both the Senate and the House, they thought they had enough rubber stamp votes to easily get this piece of tripe passed.  Sadly for them that while some, like Marjorie Taylor Greene (sp) did just that, others didn't, they read the entire piece of legislation and found some serious problems, like borrowing trillions of dollars for Orangie's tax break.  This borrowing is a standard practice for Orangie.  When he's neck deep in debt, he'll point to all of his borrowed cash and say "look how rich I am."  He lives for the appearance of being wealthy.  This is one of the reasons for his 6 bankruptcies, rather than fix a problem, he throws more money at it.

And in case you were wondering, the chaos is only going to get worse.

Split days off suck

This is my day off.  Notice I'm being singular not plural.  Last Tuesday was also my day off.  I have split days off this week because I needed to attend a meeting.  I'm not wild about meetings.  I really hate split days off.  I like to have 2 sequential days off.  They don't need to be Saturday and Sunday.  Tuesday and Wednesday would be nice.  Having off a Wednesday and Thursday would be just as nice.  I never get off on Monday unless I put in a request.  Monday's are meeting days.  We go over numbers, figures, profitability.  We do reports, provide answers and solve problems on Mondays.
When I have consecutive days off I always spend the first doing all of the housework, that leaves me one full day to do what ever I want.  Sometimes I sleep, sometimes I visit with friends, sometimes I take the dogs for a walk (they love the park).  Split days screw that up totally.  I end up doing housework on both days, which means there is less time for anything else.

And while some may thing they're getting two Fridays, I know better than that.
On the brighter side I'm enjoying the Republican Karma.  Obama might have had to deal with the Birthers, but DT will be facing all of those angry people who think he's a Russkie Proxy.  What an idiot.  And, of course, all of those Trumplodites will hating the fact that they just might have put a Commie in the White House.  Stupid is as Stupid does.

Letting the Girls out

I'm off today and, of course, it's raining; something moving up the coast from down south.  We had some torrential rains this AM - the kind where you find yourself soaked to the skin in a couple seconds.  And, of course, I was shopping at my new, neighborhood Giant at the time.  Of course I had parked at the far end of the parking lot because it hadn't been raining at the time.

As I said, this is my day off, the first of two in a row; a scarcity in retail management.  I have the same two days off next week - key Twilight Zone music.  I never get two days off in a row.  I work every Monday, that's my HR day, when I'm supposed to deal with issues.  I also work every weekend, unless I request them off.  Another thing I don't get are fixed shifts - this means I can close the store on one day and open the store the next.  They do try and give us 10 hours off between shifts, but that doesn't always happen.

I do like to take the girls for a walk on days I have off, they love the park.  It wasn't until this past Monday, when one of my female associates reminded me, that when women talk about "the girls" they are not talking about female Boxers.  Evidently they've been chuckling away for some time behind my back because a lot of times when I leave work I say "it's time to go home and let the girls out."  I tried to let them out today but neither one of them likes getting wet.  Tomorrow the forecast is for occasional showers, so, weather permitting, and since I am once again scheduled off, I will try and take the girls for a walk.
