Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Snake Bit

Well, we got drizzles.  Our high temp for this afternoon was supposed to be in the low 80s (F), now, however, it appears we'll only be in the high 70s (F).  That's fine.  I'd like to save on the cooling expense until it gets hot enough to be essential.  I also see that the mini-heatwave we had last week has now arrived in the UK.  These weather anomalies are going to become more and more frequent as the climate crisis continues to grow.

Yesterday was very productive.  My lawn, front and back, was mowed.  Shopping was done.  Gas was bought for the car.  $46.00!  And that was with 30 cents off of every gallon.  I got a nice 9 mile ride in on the bike in Fausto, Italy.  It was so boring.  I will never ride in Fausto again.  In the evening I played some Crimson Desert.  It's interesting.  I'm not impressed with the combat.  That may change.

The Bluetooth keyboard I use with my writing laptop stopped working.  Actually, it might still be working, I just couldn't get the Bluetooth to connect.  I tried a 2nd keyboard and had the same problem.  It might be the drivers.  I may spend some time putzing around with it this afternoon, but not much, the laptop  keyboard works just as good.

And since my roses have started blooming, I thought I share a pic of the peach colored climber I have by the front porch.

In today's segment of "aren't numbers fun":  Of the 18.7 million registered voters in Texas, only 855,00 showed up to vote Paxton or Cronyn.  Think about that.

And on Orangie's 3rd physical in 13months?  Seniors with serious medical issues are going to have frequent physicals because they can go downhill so very fast.  They are desperately trying to keep him alive for as long as possible since there's no one as charismatically evil to run the cult.

Yesterday, RFK Jr put out a video of himself playing with snakes. This is video without relevance.  He was bitten, and that grinning sack of shit stood there... grinning.  I had to laugh because you do know that so many of his followers, the ones that drink the raw milk, are going to run out and try the same thing... and get themselves snake bit.  And some of them might die.

Not Sure?!

Hello world from Central PA!  This morning's temp was a cool 59 (F), which was more than a bit warmer than yesterday's 47 (F).  We do have an Autumn heat wave heading our way.  For the next few days our daily highs are going to be in the mid to upper 80s (F).  Get ready, a lot of people are going to mistakenly call this Indian Summer.  Sorry.  Indian Summer is a warming trend that happens after the first frost, not before.  In 2 weeks, when our daily highs are predicted to be in the mid 60s (F) and our lows in the mid 40s (F) we'll be close, but again, no cigar.  We will probably be in late November by the time Indian Summer rolls around.

I broke down yesterday and went out and bought myself a new keyboard.  Using the laptop keyboard is fine, but it forces you to sit much closer to the monitor and I like to sit back in my chair when I type.  While I like the flexibility of a laptop, taking one to Greece, for example, I prefer an actual PC.

And while yesterday was slow in a way, I did get things done, like a ride, and laundry, and I baked a loaf of banana bread.  Very tasty stuff.  No pic, however. since I began slicing it up almost the second it was out of the oven. Warm, freshly baked banana bread is so yummy!

Of course, the government shut down continues. As you might expect, everybody and their brother is doing a poll to see just who American's are blaming.  And, as you also might expect, most are pointing the finger at the Republicans.  This is always the case.  What makes these polls interesting is the number of people who are simply not sure.  Like this one taken by The Washington Post.

You do have to keep in mind that this is The Washington Post, owned by Jeff Bezos, who loves him is Orangie in order to get as many tax breaks as possible.  Here, a large majority of Americans are blaming the GOP.  However, what caught my attention was the number of people claiming they are not sure.  Yo!  Get with the program people!  Unfortunately, this country is saddled with a large group of individuals who simply do not pay attention to what's happening with our government.  They are too focused on the trendy.  You know, the ones who waited diligently up until midnight in order to be the first to stream the new Taylor Swift album.  The ones who spend hours lost in the weeds of YouTube.  The ones who see Reality TV as a way to add some spice to their life, and gossip about it at the water cooler at work.

On the brighter side, the amount of negative press Orangie is starting to get is superb.  You're starting to see the frustration in the faces of his allies.  Caroline Leavitt's lies have become shrill, and more and more she angrily shouts her responses.  Mikey Johnson's smiles have faded and he is spending much more of his time shaking his before he lies.  And Just Dancin' Vance seems to have developed two left feet.  This is all good, because the more they struggle, the more apparent their deceit grows.

Full Bloom

Not surprisingly, we have rain.  We also have rain in the forecast.  Temps may climb up into the high 50s (F).  That's not very warm.  Nope, we're back to sweat shirts and sweat pants weather.  Next week, if the forecasters are correct we should warm up into the 70s (F).  That will be nice.  And... we're even supposed to get more than two days of sunshine.

That very old Logi keyboard I was using, the one that replaced the two other keyboards that died?  Well, it too died this morning.  I'm now using the laptop keyboard which works.  My immediate reaction was to plan on rushing out to buy a new keyboard this morning, but I think I'll hold off.  I just paid off the four new tires that I had put on my car and a new keyboard is not inexpensive.

Yesterday was sort of an odd meh kind of day.  I did some cleaning, got a really good dumbbell workout in, but I also didn't want to do anything, so I did take small naps on and off throughout the day.  I know the workout was good because I've a little muscle soreness today.  The naps?  I took those mostly because I was feeling bored.  With this crappy rain, today might be a redo.

Yesterday morning, when it was still sunny, I went out and took a picture of my roses.  So many of them are in full bloom.

Wow, how unprecedented is it for the president of the United States to go through two very crushing breakups in public?  Elonia is fuming, at least on Zitter and in Legacy Media.  He's wailing about Congress not taking DOGE seriously enough to pass legislation, I think that's for the cultists and some very naive Republicans.  DOGE was less about cutting waste and more about finding funding for the tax breaks Elonia and the other 1% want.  And don't forget all of those regulators who'd been hassling Elonia who were fired, and the contracts he signed, and all of the personal data he filched.  Don't doubt for a second that Elonia didn't make a killing.

And then there is the Putin putdown.  I don't doubt for a second that Orangie thought he and Vlad were going to be ducky dandy forever.  Hah.  Rather than being Prom King, Orangie's finding himself used and abused.  He whined about helping Russia so much, only to find himself playing the cuck.  This is what his desperation for being important has gotten him, and it wasn't even Vlad who did the jilting.  Nope, it was a lesser evil, Medveded (sp) who was dispatched to put Orangie in his place in a press release to the world.

Lost in Cracker Jack Crazy Land

Well, workday Thursday has arrived.  Yep.  Because I'm available to work on Thursdays, I normally do.  No problem.  After today, my Friday and Saturday are free.  And the temps are going to be steaming.  The high today is supposed to reach the lower 80s (F).  After that, we're to be in the scorching 90s (F), and you can be my Central Air will be cranking.

Yesterday was another uneventful, unproductive day.  Last week was so good when it came to getting things done, so far, this week a lot less has been accomplished.  That leaves me Friday and Saturday to add a bit of a shine to a lusterless 7 days.

The new keyboard arrived yesterday and has now been set up.  This is how I set up the colors.  Most of it is a lime/green-yellow.  I avoided reds.  Even though I like red, I find that at times the color can be distracting.

And in case anyone is wondering, they're still counting the votes from Tuesday's primary, and yes, the Republicans are going to be relying on the mail-in ballots.  The Orange Anus is shrieking for Oz to declare victory just in case MacCormick happens to 'find' enough ballots to make him the winner.  Now, ain't that funny? Oz is ignoring him, which is no doubt pissing him off.

One of the things I like to look at after a winner is declared, is the numbers.  Numbers say quite a lot.  Take the Mastriano winning the Republican nomination for Governor.  He desperately wants to be a Qanon King. (Big Laugh).  The GOP is not ecstatic. Nope. Not in the least.    So, what do the numbers say?  1.3 million Republicans voted on Tuesday.  Mastriano received 524,000 votes.  Almost 800,000 Republicans voted for someone else.  Now, that's an ouch from Hell.  I can also tell you that many of those voters who supported Doug, believe that every one of those 800,000, who voted for someone else, are going to throw their support behind Doug.  Well, that's not going to happen.  Mastriano is lost in Cracker Jack Crazy Land.  This is the reason so many Republicans are whispering that he is unelectable.  800,000 voters were not impressed with Trump's endorsement.  Many will either stay home come November rather than vote for Doug, and they sure as hell aren't voting for a Democrat.
