Trump Suffers

Well, we have 52 (F) outside and today is going to be busy.  Luckily, mother nature has seen fit to copy today's weather over into tomorrow when I'll have the opportunity to do some yardwork.  Today's high is predicted to be in the upper 70s (F) without a cloud in the sky.  Tomorrow's going to be repeat of today.  The same weather is on tap for Thursday, but I work so it's not as important.

I worked yesterday.  I was busy.  I sold 2 measures and had to deal with an array of problems that made time fly.  The biggest dealt with this new software they've dropped on us.  First off, it's not fully functional yet.  The ability to change products is just not there.  We're still relying on our measurement services team to build quotes, however the default products they're using are wrong.  The process used to correct this, to give the customer what they ordered, is... interesting.  We have to delete the existing wrong product, add the new product, then go into the install screens and reattach all of the installations.  Oh, and for some reason the system wants to throw in random decimal points.  You can't buy 22.6 boxes of flooring.  As long as the customer isn't sitting impatiently beside you, it's an adventure.  If they're waiting to pay $5000 for an installation, you look like an untrained amature.

Orangie's slush fund appears to be taking a momentary vacation.  The administration said, and remember how much they lie, that they were not going to push for it.  Knowing how deceitful Orangie and his cohorts are, I'd have to say that this is just another... well, for lack of a better word, lie.  Their greed is too intense for them to let go of that prize.

And Orangie's saying he doesn't care about the midterms.  In his dementiated state, he may not.  It could be that he is only focused on his own ego.  The only thing that satisfies his ego lust is having his name on as many things as possible.  This is why having to remove it from the Kennedy Center was a crushing blow, and even though he's supposed to be taking it down, don't hold your breath.  He and his team of cronies are going to delay as much as possible.  However, the more he loses, the deeper the gashes to his ego, and this is a very, very good thing.  A large majority of Americans do truly want him to suffer.

A Few Winks in the Oval Office

 It's 41 (F) outside.  That's chilly.  Well, I might even go so far as to say that it's cool.  Temps will be warming up for this afternoon.  We will again be in the mid to upper 60s (F).  For those dreaming of the hot days of summer, don't fret.  Next Wednesday we should sitting in the low 90s (F).  That's right, we'll be sultry, but only for a few days.

Yesterday morning's workout went well.  I'm doing alternating bench presses with 25 pound dumbbells.  Of course, at some point I'll be upping that to 30 pounds.  Monday is also the day for alternating leg extensions.  We'd adjust that down to 20 pounds after the pull on my quad.  Well, that was a pretty useless weight, so I upped it to 30 pounds.  Next week it might be back up to 50 pounds.

Retail was so damn boring.  I easily got my steps in.  And whether we wanted to or not, corporate has moved us into the new the Specialty Project Tool.  In some ways it's complicated.  Using it will entail have a lot of windows open.  Floor plans are on one screen, pictures are on another.  I worked on a quote that had some issues with the first time the customer had been measured, so a second measure was done yesterday morning.  None of the previous notes transferred over to the new system and we don't have the ability to see earlier comments by the measure tech, or changes that we did to the quote.  I suspect this will only be a problem with the older quotes.  I suspect there won't be a problem with the newer quotes.

Did you all get a chance to look at the video of the Orange Anus sleeping yesterday?  For those who missed it, I took a screen print.  If you get a chance, look up the video, it's quite amusing to watch the people behind him as they realized he's zonked out to the world.  Dr. Oz, in particular, gets an "oh, shit," look on his face. 

So, how desperate are the Republicans about the midterms?  Very.  That's why their involved in so much illegal gerrymandering.  The idea of losing both the House of Representatives and the Senate simply terrifies them.  It also terrifies the Supreme Court as well.  Accountability is something they dread in every cell of their bodies.  They're also terrified that all they're doing to stay in power will proved to he useless.  Except for billionaires and cultists, no one is happy with the job that they are doing.  But then, this should be a known fact by now:  Republicans simply have no idea how to govern.  They want to dictate.  They don't care how badly they ruin things, just as long as they're in charge.  That's going to change, and they're terrified.  Good.

The Goddess of War

 Well, here we are at the end of the work week.  Friday.  I will have Friday's off from here into perpetuity.  Believe me when I say it's so nice to say that.  To celebrate, Mother Nature has given me nice weather, with afternoon temps reaching into the upper 70s (F).  Surprisingly, the forecasters are calling for a cool down in a few days.  Then the afternoon temps will reach into the upper 60s (F), to low 70s (F).  Since we haven't had rain for a few days, we're under a fire watch.  In fact, there are several wildfires burning out near Shippensburg, that's about 45 miles away.

Retail yesterday was successful, measure wise, I got 3, though one shouldn't really count because I made a mistake and asked corporate to update a customers information.  They did, however in doing so they broke the link to the quote and the 2 systems stopped communicating.  We used to have an old Legacy system that did everything and worked well, but what good is software that can't be updated?  Now we have Design Builder for doors, windows, and blinds, HDMS for flooring and back splashes, and Order Up where quotes are built, changed, and paid for, and, as you might suspect, there was zero training because... well, I suppose that would be too much of an added expense.  We were actually told that tenured employees might have problems dealing with the new systems, however new learning them from scratch would do just fine.  Not surprising, even the new employees hate the system.

Tell me, has anyone figured out what's going on with the tariffs?  I do not think this is intentional, rather this is what happens when you a bunch of blithering billionaires who are all trying to out-manage each other as they fail to run the country.  The United States cannot be run as a business.

Yesterday Reuters/IPSOs poll had only 37% of Americans thinking that the Orange Anus was doing a good job of handling the economy.  It that's true, that's base Republicans 28% and some idiot Independents who are too focused on their greed to understand how incompetent Orangie is at handing the economy.  According to Fox Entertainment, his approval rating is down to 44%, I think that's too high, but then again this did come from Fox, an, as expected, Orangie got all hissy.  To be honest, all he wants to do is play golf poorly and sign Executive Orders as though they were decrees.  And, in case you're wondering, it's only going to get worse.
