For some of you Friday defines the end of the week and the beginning of the weekend, however for me today is the last of what you might call a mini-vacation, that is if I were a full time associate. Keep in mind that for the next 3 days I'll be working at the flooring desk. Sounds like fun, eh?
Yesterday was kind of busy, kind of not. I got some painting done. It seems as though I have so much painting: trim, doors, walls, and a final coat on the kitchen ceiling. Wrote a little. Edited a little.
I'm watching what is purported to be the last season of Picard. Let's hope so. I don't if it's because I've watched a lot of Star Trek or not, but so much of this season, which will unite the cast of Star Trek, The Next Generation, seems to be plucking so much of it's storyline from the past several decades. Last night's episode had the evil Changeling standing on the bridge of the USS Titan and taking command; flashback to the Wrath of Khan with Khan standing on the bridge of the USS Enterprise taking command. In this series Picard finds out that he has a son he never knew about, in The Wrath of Khan, Kirk finds out that he has a son he was never told about. Been there. Done that.
Otherwise, yesterday was fairly unexciting. Well.... maybe not.
Oh yes.
ReplyDeleteI was minding my own business and eating some Tikka Masala when the tv programming was interrupted with the news they had indicted Orange Shitstain. I thought I had heard wrong, to tell you the truth. But when even Faux News was reporting it and twitter was blowing up I high-fived everybody in the room.
Let's hope is only the first of many more to come. THEN I will break up the champagne.
I have Picard in my list but I'm re-watching GOT on HBO. I needed a refresh after House of the Dragon.
XOXO
The first I'd heard of it was a notification from the BBC on my phone. Notice, it was the BBC, not an American news network.
DeleteIndicted, YES!!! Now for the arraignment, the trial (if that happens), selecting a jury, having a trial, conviction (or not) and actually sitting in a cell with a jumpsuit that matches his skin tone after god only knows how many appeals. I probably will not be alive to see it but I do plan on being earthbound just for the pleasure.
ReplyDeleteI don't think he'll sit in a cell on this one, but possibly the next, for I don't doubt Fanni from Atlanta and her Grand Jury are going to indict him as well.
DeleteUuugghhh painting. I got all the painting done that I need to get done in my bathrooms (they're delivering the fittings on Thursday) but of course when you look around you notice the door trim, the windows and .....! It's never-ending!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, it truly is never-ending!
DeleteSo happy to see that news yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI was taken completely off guard, in a really good way.
DeleteWhat a great day yesterday was! And there should be plenty more indictments to come!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking there may be 2, possibly 3 more in the next few months.
DeleteMiss Lindsey on Fox doing the bleary-eyed drunk cry money beg for Thing 45 was high-larious!
ReplyDeleteI missed that, but Twitter evidently agrees with you.
DeleteHe can get indicted 29 times, until he is actually in an orange suit behind bars I won't be happy. If anyone did even two of the things that he did we'd be locked up in a York Minute. I won't be happy, or have any trust in our justice system till he is arrested or in jail.
ReplyDeleteI think he'll run before that ever happens.
