Well, it's 45 (F) outside and we're going to have a drizzly, wizzly day. On and off showers are in the forecast for both today and tomorrow. By Thursday, our temps are going to be taking a turn for the colder, but then it is nearly the end of November. But only for a bit. Heading into December they're going to warm up a tad, with daily highs in the upper 40s (F). Over the past few years we've had a cold snap in early December. If the long range forecasts are even mildly correct, that's not going to happen.
Yesterday's workout included the new split-squat. I definitely did use an area of my gluteus maximus that I've never used before because I am experiencing some soreness this morning. I do hope my future cute butt is worth it. Of course, I did have some muscle soreness in my upper back and shoulders as well. No pain, no gain, and the gains are important as we get up in years. When I get to be a senior, I want to be healthy and fit, not one of those old men who look like babies because they've lost so much muscle.
The changes to my new schedule were approved. Beginning December 22 I will only be working on weekends... well Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. That's fine with me. Strength training will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with Tuesday and Thursday being cardio. I told my trainer that Monday should be light since I work and didn't want to have to worry about my muscles ripping through my shirt in case I accidently flexed. He thought I was being funny.
I watched Good Grief the other night. I like Dan Levy. He's very talented. But, this film should have been called Baggage. The trailer hints that it's a film about three people unpacking their baggage in public. Everybody has baggage. Even the attorney unpacks her baggage. One of the really super big problems with Good Grief is that 3/4s of the way through it you find out (SPOILER ALERT) he and his husband were in an open marriage. Had you known this closer to the beginning, all of this baggage would have become irrelevant. The standout performance is that of Arnaud Valois, a French actor who rises above everyone else. He has no baggage.
The implosion seems to have started ... let there be more.
ReplyDeleteThe cult members only believe what they think is his “genius” based on his tacky little reality show, it seems. He could get away with more if only his toadies were competent. Going up against Kelly & Comey were bad moves & it’s entertaining to watch that show.
ReplyDeleteWe're going to need pics of the perky butt progress.
ReplyDeleteJust saying....
And the amount of stupidity and incompetence in the administration was expected but it's not been well received. I think even the MAGAts are wondering what's going on.
And of course they want Venezuela's oil. We all saw that from the jump. Fentanyl my non perky ass.
And I liked Good Grief. And I was surprised by the twist. I thought it was more about finding our place than baggage, but I see your point....
XOXO
