Up Front

Well, it's Friday and I get to go back to work.  I'm so excited, in case you didn't know.
I watched some of the drone footage from the Florida panhandle - When there is only a concrete pad left, you know people have lost everything.  I feel bad for them, but then that is the price some will pay for living on the shore.  With rising seas caused by Global Warming, that land will be underwater in a number of years, which makes one ponder if those people are foolish enough to rebuild.
And I see that there some problems down in George with voter registration.  Seems like the white Secretary of State, who's also running for Governor, is trying to stymie an increased number of black people who want to vote.  Of course, he's shrieking "no, no, no."  Hahaha.  Of course he is.  Or maybe I should say "they are."  You know?  Those white Republicans who are terrified of colored skin.  And it's not only black skin that scares them, brown is not too popular either.  The last thing those white Republicans want is a black Governor.  That idea simply horrifies them.  If they could rewrite the genetic code to make 'white skin' the dominant gene, they would.  Sadly for them, however, no matter how desperate they are to play God, they can't.  If they fine their future so unbearable, maybe they should move some place else.
And I saw something really funny regarding the Idiot Jerk's trophy wife, Melanoma.  Evidently some fool asked her if his infidelities bothered her.  Her response was something about being "too busy" changing my wardrobe to think about it.   Well, that's not exactly what she said.  The "too busy" was her, the wardrobe thing was me... still, think about it.  I mean, excuse me, but she's been bought and paid for, and her purchase price included "not giving a shit."  I can't believe some sort of bumblehead believes there is some sort of love between her and the Idiot Jerk.  Well, there is in a way.  It's there love of $$$.  That's the only thing they have in common.  She was a model / high class hooker at one time, so she doesn't care who bangs her as long as she gets the cash up front.

Well, it's Wednesday and it's 3 (F) outside.  For those who don't know, that's cold.  Everything freezes.  For those of you down south there's something called a bombogenesis heading your way, in fact it's going to stretch up and down the eastern seaboard.  This will make for some rather cold golfing at Mar-a-lago.  Are these changing weather patterns the result of Global Warming?  Most likely.  Of course the Idiot Jerk in the White House doesn't understand Global Warming, or that the result will not only be higher seas, but climate change all over the place.  The Arctic is shrinking and the Bering Strait is on it's way to becoming a major trade route between the Atlantic and the Pacific.  And who's going to take advantage of this?  My bet says the Russians and the Chinese, since the Idiot Jerk's main focus is on deregulation... oh, and building his damn wall because his racist supporters.
According to the forecasters, we have 5 more days left of these bone chilling temperatures, after that our daily highs would get up into the mid to upper 30's.  Yippee.
Yesterday I had my 6 month appointment to have my teeth cleaned.  Now, my dentist has TV's in all of the rooms, and when I got there my Dental Assistant asked if I had a channel preference, and I said "no."  Big mistake!  She had on the Today Show.  Hoda Kotb officially replaced that perv Matt Lauer.  Listening to her and Savannah Gutherie chitter chatter was worse than having molten lava poured into my ears.  Evidently she adopted a baby girl a bit ago and was busy babbling about her when she spit out some inanity on how this baby was a "blessing from God."  No, that baby was a blessing from another woman's womb.  Then the two women giggled and laughed and said how some people would not be happy because they were both Republicans....   Need I say anything more?
Anyway, I've been riding the new bike everyday - on the trainer, of course.  New saddle means I sit on it differently, which means I have to adapt.  I signed up for Rouvy, which a training software package and yesterday I took a ride up and around the Red Rocks Amphitheater... and thought my legs were going to fall off.  You see the trainer actually increases pressure to simulate hills, which causes you to shift gears, and I have more gears with this bike than I did with the X6.  Believe me, that was one of the easy rides.  One thing I did learn, I need to listen to my own music, not rely on the music that comes with the videos... which definitely is not inspiring enough to get my legs pumping.

How's that for a comfy ride?

Waiting for the Third Strike

Well, here it is, Friday, the first of my two consecutive days off... and boy is it cold outside!  According to Accuweather, the current outside temperature is 12 (F) or -11 (C).  No matter which temperature scale you use - it's frigid!  And, of course, the Idiot Jerk in the White House snidely Tweeted something about Global Warming.  I'd say he's an old fool but since I already know he's an Idiot Jerk that would be rather redundant, wouldn't it?  Won't it be interesting to see how his heirs deal with Mar-a-Lago going under faster than the Titanic on a really, really bad night. 

I have no doubt that the vast majority of his supporters totally agree with him, but that's the kind of consensus you get from one dimensional thinkers.
Since Social Conservative's theology prevents them from acknowledging even the possibility of Global Warming, especially in that man might himself be a factor, they are right there with him.  They don't understand that Karma, or Judgment, or what ever you want to call it is coming for them.  And it's not like they haven't been warned, you know?  Remember Joel Osteen and his total lack of compassion, his total disregard for humanity in the wake of a storm of Biblical proportions?  Not one of these Social Conservatives took a stand and publicly called him out.  Well, that was strike one.  And all of those white Social Conservatives celebrating and supporting Roy Moore and his total contempt for humanity?  That was strike two.  You can believe me, the Universal Pitcher is winding up, preparing to throw another fast ball right in front of their noses.  They might hit it out of the park... nah, we already know that's not going to happen.  It's not in their self-centered, self-appointed superior nature.  Right now, all we're waiting for is that final, third strike.
