Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Tasty!

So, here it is Thursday and I get to go back to work for a full day.  The weather forecast is for a high around 70 (F), but rain is also in the forecast.  The freezing rain forecasters predicted for yesterday never put in an appearance.  We had about 2 minutes of drizzle, and then around noon the sun started poking through the clouds.  There was freezing rain in the state, just not where I live.

Yesterday, I made lasagna.  This is so delicious.  The funny thing was, standing by the kitchen counter holding a box of lasagna noodles, I realized I could have made my own.  I have a pasta maker.  True, making the noodles would take a little longer, but then you don't have to boil them until they're andante.  I ended up freezing quite a bit.  Here's a piece on the foil waiting to be wrapped.

And one of those not too surprising headlines a major study has proven ivermectin doesn't work... at all.  One of the words describing this treatment for parasites was 'useless.'  With this in mind, I'd like to take a moment to thank Joe Rogan for helping kill off a number of Republican voters... which, if you think about it, proves that ivermectin wasn't entirely useless.

Evidently Will Smith was asked to leave the Oscar ceremony after the SLAP, and refused.  And now pictures have surfaced of him singing and dancing to his own music at an 'after Oscar party.'  It's almost like he's writing a book called "How To Make Yourself Look Like A Flaming Asshole."

And Joe McCarthy and Steve Scalise had a chat with Madison Cawthorn about his saying older Republicans do lines of Coke and have orgies.  Sounds like they're trying to put make-up on a pig.

Finally, there is so much buzz about Loser #45 asking the Russians for assistance, (he wants dirt on Biden), and them call him their 'partner.'  The Orange Anus is growing terribly desperate.  His rally in Georgia was... not well attended.  He's planning another one in Michigan in an area where the roads are intended for low volume, residential traffic (meaning a traffic jam from Hell).  America now knows there are 7 hours of missing phone logs from January 6, which means he and his staff weren't just using burner phones.  In less than 3 weeks he needs to testify before a Grand Jury.  And, all of this demonstrates his stupidity, because he thinks dirt on Biden is the answer.

Your Little Swimmers

Yesterday was ho-hum at work, slow for the most part.  I had to locate matching trim for a customer who's having a hardwood installation.  The original choice had been for primed white, so the only thing needing to be done was to have it painted.  However, there are 440 linear feet, and that's a bit of painting.  Rather than do that, the customer has opted (at an additional expense) to have trim which matches the hardwood.  Personally, I think matching quarter round makes it look like your floor is beginning to creep up your wall, but then I'm not the one who doesn't want to paint the trim.

The temp is forecast to hit 88 (F) today, the rest of the week is predicted to be cooler.  We are in September.  Fall is approaching.  Justin's going to come and mow my lawn on Sunday.  This will be a first for me.  I will have to find out what my pin is so I can take money out of the bank.

Since there are a number of bingo brains out their believing ivermectin will help if they catch Covid, like Joe Rogan, I am pleased to say that the worming med has an adverse effect of male sperm counts.  In other words, it reduces the number of your little swimmers if you take it.  This is all part of the natural selection process.

In other Covid contemplatables:

As was the case last year, there was another large surge of infections after Sturgis.  This means all of those motorcycle men are going to be gulping down their ivermectin.

Idaho activated health care rationing last week in northern parts of the state.  Why quietly, you ask?  Well, Republicans know how much panic would ensue if their MAGA base realized Covid was much, much worse than the flu.

And last evening I got a flash from The Dallas Morning News, in their Coronavirus update, noting that Pediatric Covid-19 hospitalizations were at an all time high.  I find it interesting that those Conservative legislators will pass restrictive abortion and voting legislation while not doing a damn thing about their children.

Chip This

Well, my weekend begins and the weather forecast is for cloudy skies with possible rain,... off and on.  Outside the temps are 66 (F), though we're supposed to hit a high of 96 (F).  I'll believe it when I feel it.  Yeah, I know, 'possible' and 'on and off' in the same sentence doesn't make a lot of sense.  All I can do is blame the weather forecasters.  And Ida is on her way.  We should be getting our share of her rain beginning on Thursday.

Tomorrow I'm planning on mowing the field my lawn.  I will have to raise the height on my lawnmower, either that or grab the weed wacker and us that.  Somewhere up in the attic I have a hand scythe, if the rain doesn't stop soon I will need to use that.

Oh, and if I can find a daikon, I'm going to try making some Kimchi.  Tasty stuff.  Good for the gut.  My local Giant doesn't have it, though the Giant Camp Hill might, so I might trip myself in there later this afternoon.  If they don't, I'll have to locate the nearest Korean grocery.

An anonymous commentator dropped a link in here yesterday which I think was to justify the use of Ivermectin in the treatment of Covid.  The results came from a very small group similar to that tiny group from France using Hydroxychloroquine.  Remember that wonder drug touted by Liar #45?  I can only wonder what these dumb shits using a worming agent are going to do when they find out the government has been putting microchips in Ivermectin for years as a way to track free range livestock.  This little ditty should make them feel right at home.
