Another Watergate Bloodbath?

 Okay, so I guess we are officially in your weekend... not mine.  Monday is the first day of my weekend.  The weather forecast is rain...right now it's like 70%, and then 56% on Tuesday, the 2nd half of my weekend.  After that it's another 6 day stretch.  Of course, starting next week my shift is going to go later, which is fine for me.

I had my car inspected yesterday.  $146.  Ouch!  What did that all cover?  State inspection (once a year in PA), emission's inspection (one of only a handful of counties to require that), an oil change, and a tire rotation.  Labor alone was $110.  As I was sitting there editing Chapter 1 of The Body in the Loch, my 'attendant' asked if I wanted to add a 12 point maintenance check for $165.  Nope.  She showed me the air filter and said it needed to be changed (part of the $165) and again I said nope.  After she left, I pulled up, and watched a 1.5 minute YouTube video on my phone:  How to change the air filter in 2019 Crosstrek.  When I got home I ordered the filter from Amazon -  $18.98.

While I was at the dealership yesterday, Ted Cruz was whining on Fox Business (something or other) about how the Democrats were going to raise taxes and go for universal health care.   You know?  The shit that normally dribbles from his mouth.  This was his way of warning the GOP that November give them the same sort of bloodbath they experienced after Watergate.  He's not the only one beginning to mutter that the Idiot Jerk in the White House is someone the party is dreadfully going to regret.

Another Republican strategist said in the NYT that if Biden wins by double digits they will lose not only the Senate, but more seats in the House, as well as the Idiot Jerk, who will be forced to relocate to Moscow.  (I added the Moscow bit).

Finally, I was talking to my sister yesterday.  My brother in law is a rabid support of the Idiot Jerk.  I told her that the Idiot Jerk is not too popular.  That's when she told me that he had hung a blue flag from their upstairs window.  My niece is worried someone is going to begin throwing rocks at their house.  Then the both of us had a hearty laugh.

Welcome to my Friday.  That's right.  Those of you with flawed calendars might actually be thinking this is Saturday.  Nope.  When I look at my retail calendar I know this must be Friday - my weekend starts tomorrow.
Yesterday was ho-hum at work.
I saw where the Idiot Jerk warned Mueller not to go near his 'Financial Empire.'  That made me laugh.  What a fuckin' crook.  Of course that thought took me back a number of years, to the Nixon administration.  While age may be startitng to sift away some of the details, I can still fondly remember Nixon uttering those very lines.  "I am not a crook."  Dear me.  Just what would old Richard think about the Idiot Jerk in the White House?

And we have to be honest here.  Nixon wasn't actually a crook.  He, himself, did not break into the Watergate building - he had others do it at his direction.  This is precisely what the Idiot Jerk has been doing for... decades.  Having others do is dirty work.  Attorneys filed law suit after law suit.  His bookkeepers have been fudging figures for years, filling out load documents and filing false tax reports.  As I said before, the Idiot Jerk is going to make Nixon look like an alter boy.  Judgment is coming for the Idiot Jerk and his spawn.
And what about that Duncan asswipe out in California.  In case you hadn't seen, he blamed everything on his wife.  Everything.  He was innocent.  Why is it gutless Republicans always point the finger at some one else?  And this Duncan?  I understand he was the 2nd sitting Senator to come out in support of the Idiot Jerk in the White House.  The first was that Bozo Republican from New York who was just indicted for Insider Trading.   These to pinheads show the corrupting influence of the Idiot Jerk in the White House.  Shit, the whole party is morally bereft.

No work today!  Not scheduled.  I feel odd about that because today is Inventory Day.  All of the management team was at the store bright and early, some at 0500 and some at 0530.  I don't know, perhaps out of sympathy for them, but for some reason I woke up around 0330 - which would have been when I would have gotten up for Inventory.  That's right, I got up early, had some coffee, threw a load of laundry in the washer, and then went back to bed where I slept until 0630 - a sleep in for me.  This is how it goes.
Yesterday I got to hear a stupid customer complaining about how a mistake she made was our fault.  That's right, she was blaming us for her own stupidity.  You see, this woman went online and purchased a Natural Gas range.  She doesn't have Natural Gas, she heats her house with Propane.  She seemed to think they were pretty much the same thing - they're not.  To use a Natural Gas appliance with propane it needs to be converted.  Warnings are fairly prominent in the instruction manual.  Guess what she didn't read?  In fact, she didn't do any research what so ever, just ordered the range online, had it delivered, and had someone who didn't know what they were doing install it for her.  This was 2 months ago.  Since no conversion had been done, and propane burns hotter, her pots and pans began to melt when she used them.  When was the last time you put a pot on your stove and it started to melt?  She had soot in her oven....  I have no idea what she tried to roast, or bake, but finding soot in your oven after wards is not a good sign.  And this was our fault because we sold her a stove that didn't cook with propane.  Remember, this all started 2 months ago.  She turned rather nasty when they told her that this was her responsibility, and as such, we were not going to take back the range she bought and credit her account.  This is a nice definition of stupidity, don't you think?
Oh, and how about the Idiot Jerk in the White House saying he would have run into Parkland?  I guess his comments were once again fodder for the late night comedians.  His approval rating had actually climbed a microscopic bit, but... once again it's begun to go down the shitter.  This is all to be expected, of course.  There was an interesting bit in Bloomberg by John Dean, (the Watergate John Dean for those who are either too young to know).  Dean was the one who pleaded guilty and pretty much ended Nixon's presidency.  He said the Rick Gates' pleading guilty is going to do the same thing to the Idiot Jerk.  I believe most people this to be a foregone conclusion.

Where There's Smoke

So this is my 4th day off out of 5 in a row.  I was going to take Big Seig along with me to Home Depot to pick out a replacement shrub for the front yard but didn't because they were calling for rain - good thing, Home Depot didn't have what I was looking for, so I went to Lowe's, they didn't have what I was looking for either.  Shit.  I'm zeroing in on buy a smoke bush, which is actually more like a small tree, and nobody seems to be carrying them locally.

I may have to order it from some place online.  

Also, I guess the Idiot in the White House has Tweeted infor regarding the investigation into his firing of Comey,.. which is funny, because I guess this is just one of many investigations that are now Ongoing, which is rather humorous, to say the least.

Just because there happens to be so much smoke, well, that doesn't mean they're going to find anything burning.  Seeing that Mike Pence has also now chosen to hire a private counsel, one that has connections to both the Iran Contra investigation, as well as the Watergate investigation, isn't exactly the kind of declaration of innocence you would expect from our Crazy Christian VP, is it?  Of course, maybe he's just covering all of his bases.  Just in case, you know, he may actually be a little bit on the guilty side.  That would be funny, too.  Conservative corruption is not new.  Smoking guns seem to always turn up, in fact there seems to be another Deep Throat around every corner.

I also get a good laugh at the Administration's expense on their complaints about leakers.  Maybe someone should tell these morons that this problem wouldn't exist if they didn't have anything worth leaking.
