Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

The Copyright

This morning is a little warmer than yesterday, with our temp sitting in the low 60s (F).  Our skies are very  overcast and there might be rain on the way.  This afternoon should be warm and sunny with our high in the low 80s (F).  This is nice weather.  I wouldn't mind if this lasted all summer.

And yesterday was... well, not quite what I had anticipated, which was finishing the copyright process and a ride in the afternoon, followed by a movie.  Only one of those things happened.

I've been through the copyright process many times, but changes have been initiated over the past year that, while creating better security, have complicated things.  There was no problem using either Chrome or Google in the past, now, as the website says, results may not be optimal.  That's an understatement.  Now they recommend that you use Mozilla.  So I downloaded Mozilla FireFox, it gives you a free VPN, so that can be seen as a plus.  Then there was an issue with my email address.  My last name is in my email address and that simply doesn't work.  This meant I needed to create a new Google account in order to get a new email address that will only be used for getting copyrights.  It also meant setting up a new account with the Bureau of Copyrights.  This learning experience took about 4 hours and did involve some aggravation, but in the end I was rewarded with this.

Anyway, after everything was finished, I didn't feel like a bike ride, or a movie, so I ended up staying home and playing a video game so I could kill things.

And, if you don't know by now, the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool is filled with algae because the bottom was painted blue.  It's green.  Yesterday, workers poured in hundreds of gallons of peroxide in an attempt to kill the algae, and it did... around the edges.  You see, the Reflecting Pool is not like some giant aquarium with a super, giant pump to circulate the water, so, all of that peroxide stayed around the edges.  Now we have a algae green Reflecting Pool with a blue boarder.

    1. That's peanuts compared to the $300 billion we're giving to Iraq just for the pleasure of talking to them.

    2. Exactly! We'll bomb your country because you are a danger to the entire world and then we'll pay you to rebuild.

  2. Oh yes.
Copywriting everything is the way to go. And I thought that google would let you create an alternate email addy? They're so behind.

And the whole reflecting pool is a perfect metaphor for the Cankles admin: do something that is all for show, riddle it with corruption, blow up the price, deliver a failure and never fix the underlying structural problem. And then blame someone else.

    XOXO

    1. You need a new Gmail account for every Gmail you have, and it sucks. I understand that the Reflecting Pool problem has been escalated to a regional lever.

    1. You do know that all of this winning that the administration is doing is causing a lot of hating in millions upon millions of voters.

  4. And reflecting pool debacle.. I love how he tried to blame that on Obama. I didn't hear how he tried to blame Obama but that's what I heard.

    1. I thought it was Biden, or has Obama become a surrogate for Biden, or is it vice versa.

    2. Hell...with him currently, they are all interchangeable, Biden, Obama, Hillary...mind you they haven't been in office in years except for Biden. But everything is their fault.

And I LOVED when he said the reflection pool when completed, he said it would be great and would be excellent for at least 100 years. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like an ass....yet again! LOL.

  5. Dealing with your copyright sounds a bit like all the accounts I had to set up to get citizenship - seems like I needed a different account every step of the way! Talk about frustrating and I do wonder how some people who are maybe less technically minded deal with French administration on occasion. My former neighbour would be one of them and even now I keep trying to drag her into at least the 20th century (I give up on the 21st)!

    1. The process was so strange. Before, it was was just a few clicks and I could upload the manuscript. I'm hoping that all of these little changes they've done to the system work just as well. Any my sister's like your friend, satisfied to spend the rest of her life in the 19th century.

  6. It is beyond belief just how dumb and stupid that man/baby is. Anybody with a bit of brain knows that dark colours will get hotter than white. He will never get rid of the algae. I bet the leaders of Iran are laughing at how easy he folded to get a deal. What a loser. Gigi

    1. He and his team of toadies have never been intelligent, which is why he has a history of bankruptcies and failed start ups. He will never learn from his mistakes; blame someone else and then move on.
