Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Of Baloney, and Bidets, and Blundering Breakdowns

Yesterday was my Hump Day.  I celebrated by having a German Bologna sandwich, with provolone and lettuce, for dinner.  You have to admit, when I go all out... I go all out.  Growing up, we called it garlic baloney.  Our sandwiches here made with either garlic baloney of Lebanon baloney.  Anybody ever hear of Lebanon baloney?  For those who remember, I actually grew up in Lebanon, the source of Lebanon baloney.

And just twelve miles to the east of Lebanon was Hershey.  What joy my childhood was!  Baloney and chocolate!

Yesterday was a first when it comes to questions being asked by customers.  I was heading back to the department from the Service Desk and I was stopped by a woman and her husband.  She asked me "where do you keep bidet hoses?"  At first I thought I must have misunderstood her, so I asked her to repeat her question.  "Where are your bidet hoses?"  As she spoke, her husband pulled a 6 foot hose with an... attachment... from a bag.  Now, I don't know if we sell bidet hoses.  Bidets are not that common in Central PA, unlike baloney and chocolate, so I pointed them to Aisle 4.  That's where we keep the sink hoses and to my knowledge, both hoses are about the same... except for the nozzle.

By now, almost everybody in America knows about The Atlantic article regarding the Idiot Jerks real reason for not joining other world leaders at the celebration of D Day, besides the fact he was concerned that the rain might ruin his hair.  This man does not celebrate losers.  For the Idiot Jerk, in war there are either winners or losers.  If you happen to die in combat?  Well, for the Idiot Jerk, that means you're a loser.  Because he is ego driven, he has no problem telling people this.  He has said John McCain was a loser for letting himself get captured.  Because most sane people know this about him, they have no problem believing the article in The Atlantic.  This man is a hateful blundering fool.  Last evening he had a bit of a breakdown shrieking his innocence and blaming the 'fake media.'  The time has come to hold this man accountable for his lies and deceits.  Vote Blue.

Reality Show

Well, we were supposed to have snow on the ground this morning.  We didn't.  At first they were forecasting 1 - 3 inches, at some point that changed to 1 inch and then finally to 'a dusting.'  Nada.  I like snow.  The dogs like snow.  Now the forecast is for cooler weather, but no snow.  And, next week we're supposed to be getting more rain.  Son of a bitch.
There was some doofus in the store yesterday with a MAGA hat on.  When I politely asked if I could help them, he shook his head and said "we're just checking out prices."  I was going to tell him prices keep on going up, something he was never going to believe.  Nope.  All he believes is the Idiot Jerk in the White House.
And for those who don't know, two articles of impeachment were released yesterday.  That's right, only two.  Believe me, they are enough.
Speaking of the Idiot Jerk, he was in Central Pennsylvania last night at one of his crazed rallies.  This morning I saw my nephew's wife ranted on Facebook about the traffic.  Here's a bit about the event from Penn Live.  Security was, as the article says, heavy.  Sections, and intersections, of Routes 322 and 283 were closed shutting down traffic while his motorcade drove through.  Scott Wagner, a failed GOP candidate for governor is going to pay Derry Township the estimated $15 - $20 thousand in security charges.  The Idiot Jerk is a very unpopular president.  His ego also requires that the world stop as he passes by.  Missy Pence was there too.  They're terrified of losing Pennsylvania in the next election.
As for the impeachment...(drum roll please).  It now moves into the Senate.  So, let the show begin.

Both the Democrats and the Republicans want a quick hearing.  The Democrats worry the GOP is going to trivialized the procedure to death (they kick dead horses, don't they?), and the GOP worries about how badly it's going to make the administration look.  But the Idiot Jerk in the White House?  He wants a big, brassy, bold, bullshit filled reality show.  Live witness!  Yeah.  He wants them to drill for the details on live TV.  He wants a conspiracy song and dance show.  And that scares the Republicans silly.  That is the last thing they want.  You see they know this whole Ukraine thing is based on his untethered brain grasping for straws.  The Idiot Jerk believes that if he brings down Biden is re-election will be guaranteed. In case you don't know, this man is dumb as a fucking brick.

Beginnings

Holy Crap!  I looked at my calendar this morning and realized today is... Saturday!!  Son of a bitch!  A bit of uniformity in regard to my schedule would go a long way towards making things normal.  That isn't to say that in reality I'm a normal person... I'm not.  Far from it.
As I'd said earlier, Elton's coming to Hershey.  Originally I had set myself up for the Verified Fan pre-sale to happen on 11/20.  On 11/14 I went into Ticketmaster to verify the time, thinking I was going to be at work when the sale started, and saw that the Amex pre-sale was going to start in just 2 hours.  I bought 2 tickets.  The Verified Fan sale came and went, all I received was an email telling me I had been put on a waiting list.  Yesterday tickets for the 4/20 show actually went on sale.  Being the curious type, I went into check prices.  Tickets in the same row as mine now cost over $600 in resale, more than 3 times what I had paid.  Floor tickets being resold were going for... are you ready for this?  $3888 per seat.  Son of a bitch!  I don't know about you but I think that's a little too pricey.
Oh, and saw that an associate of Giuliani is willing to testify that Demon Nunes, himself, met with Ukrainian officials in an attempt to get dirt on the Bidens.  In case you didn't know, this whole fixation on both father and son can be traced back to 2016.  After the Idiot Jerk won the presidency and stunned the world, sane minds began searching for the best candidate to beat him in 2020.  The name most frequently at the top of every poll and on everybody's lips was Joe Biden.  The GOP, already terrified they were going to be voted out of power in 2020, and knowing their fraudulent ways were incapable of unifying the country, made what they considered the best decision poossible under those circumstances:  get dirt on Biden.  And, they proceeded to try and do just that, with the Idiot Jerk in the White House egging them on, providing absolutely no restraints.  And now we discover that Demon Nunes was busy with a shitty little shovel in his hand, digging in the dirt as well.  Hhhmm.  I can see another eye-roll coming.
And the other day while I was out cleaning up the yard (I have big dogs, remember), I snapped a picture of Big Seig just standing their, watching the world pass by.

He almost looks tiny, doesn't he?  From the pic you might find it difficult to believe he weighs 118 pounds, that's 52.39 Kg for those of you living every where but in the United States.  Such a baby he is.

Paul McCartney - tonight

I'm really not sorry to say it, but I'm going to have to miss tonight's episode of Trumpalooza.  I missed last nights' episode as well, but did find it hilarious that Melanoma Trump sort of plagiarized Michelle Obama.  You have to remember, he didn't marry her because she was smart, he married her because she was a model.
Anyway, I'm missing tonight's episode because my brother and I are going to see Paul McCartney at the Hershey Stadium.  We have good seats.  No, we didn't get the VIP seating in order to actually meet Sir Paul in person.  And we didn't get the minor VIP seats where you get let in early so you can watch the sound check.  We just got the regular, very good, expensive seats.  In case you're wondering where they're at, I posted the seating chart below.

I hear he puts on a really good show, plays a lot of Beatles music.  I'm really looking forward to it.  In fact, it's kind of like not real.  My brother, who is 52, says he's probably going to scream like a 12 year old girl and faint.  I hope not.  That would be embarrassing.

April Snow & Elton John

Well, today is not only my big paint sale (!), I also have off, so I'm not going to be there for the 'not so record breaking' sales.  This doesn't mean they're not going to sell, paint, they are - it's a damn good sale, however this morning when I let the dogs out at 0530 it was snowing.  We ended up with about 3 inches of the heavy white stuff, an even though it's melting faster then the Wicked Witch of the West in a hot tub, this is just not painting weather.  My plans for this dreary day are to do a couple of loads of laundry and play Fallout 4.

April snowers bring May flowers
Yesterday I ordered my tickets to see Elton John when he comes to Hershey in September (yes, I live about 12 miles from chocolate land), and that was rather... interesting.  My brother wanted to go along, but since he and his family are getting back from vacation on 9/23 he asked if we could go on 9/27 when Elton is up in Allentown.  Everything was fine, until it came to trying to get the tickets.  PP & L Arena (in Allentown) is a 'partner' with Ticketmaster - which means it isn't really Ticketmaster, and their website kept locking up, or I'd get a message saying "no tickets available," and that ever popular "website is not responding," and when I did finally get through the only available tickets were behind the stage and running around $209 each.  "To hell with this shit," I said, and popped back to Ticketmaster where I got seats on the Floor, in Row 19 and paid a lot less then $209 each.  Oh, and my brother isn't going, but that's life, isn't it?
Here's another snowy picture I took from my front porch.  Can you see the green leaves?
