Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Sydney and the stolen election data

I'm heading into a work free week beginning today.  The store will not see my happy, smiling face again until Saturday, and then only for 6 hours.  The department has been rather understaffed lately.  I've helped by giving up some of my free time, something I'm not fond of doing.  They still have to hire a specialist to replace the one who gave his notice, and then showed up for a few hours on his last day.  Another associate, as I mentioned before, fell off a roof.  He's scheduled to be back at the desk on Thursday, with his shoulder in a big cast; that's going to put a damper on his texting.  The Haitian we hired to be an evening aisle associate has also stopped showing up for work.  He told us he followed his own schedule rather than the one written for him.  I do hope his personal schedule lets him know he's being terminated as a 'no call, no show.'

They were predicting rain for yesterday, and what we got was the occasional shower.  So, last evening I was out with the hose watering my plants.

When I got home from work yesterday, my neighbor's brother was at the house.  Since they're going to be throwing everything out, I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't picking through things.  As I'd said, Dirty Dawg had been there on Saturday to give them a quote and evidently it was more than they were wanting to pay, otherwise that house would be empty.  It will be interesting to see how the family proceeds.

And Rudy Giuliani is going to be indicted, at least that seems to be how things are playing out.  He's before a Georgia Grand Jury today.  I wonder if he's going to be sweating hair dye.

Oh, and evidently the FBI also confiscated 3 of Trumps passports, though he admitted one of them had expired.  Let that sink in.  3 passports.  He doesn't have dual citizenship with any other country.  I have one because, as a US citizen I only need one.  But he had 2 passports he could use.  Something smells a bit fishy.  The fact that they took them implies they see him as a flight risk.

And I do believe that Lindsey Belle is supposed to be testifying today as well.  He is probably not sweating hair dye, bullets?  yes, hair dye, no.  I wonder if any of those NDAs he had his escorts sign become null and void if his ass gets indicted.

You do have to admit that bombshells seem to be dropping daily now.  The Washington Post dropped this one yesterday.   Treasonous Sydney Powell and her group of traitors hired a computer group to breach sensitive voting machines in 3 states:  Georgia, Michigan, and Nevada.  That's a criminal felony.  These charges will no doubt make Sydney a flight risk.  Ouch.

A Serendipitous Tour

Thursday.  I work.  For a full 8 hours shift.  Luckily, I start an hour early, which means I leave work at 1800, rather than 1900.  I'm fine with that.

And yesterday was one of those days when I got a lot done: mowed the lawn, couple loads of laundry, worked on the tank in the living room, played some Elden Ring.  Oh, and I did 2.25 miles on the treadmill.  I increased the weight in the spats by 1 pound on each foot, and my left knee was achy last night, so I'll probably drop it back down for a bit.  And, speaking of walking, I perused this article in the NYT this morning. Very Interesting.  Like the scientists involved in the study, I, too, would have thought dancing would have had more of an impact than just walking.

I went to see the latest Jurassic Park movie last night.  It started off a little clunky as the old cast members were reintroduced and the romance between Laura Dern and Sam Neil seemed forced, but the movie turned out to be far better than I was expecting.  Jeff Goldblum had the best lines.  In the last few Jurassic movies, action scenes seemed to take place because one of the writers said, "we need an action scene here."  In Jurassic World - Dominion, action scenes are integral to the plot, now, isn't that a nice surprise?

The January 6 committee is having their 3rd public hearing this morning and (crap, crap, carp) I have to work.  Was anyone surprised yesterday when they released video of Rep. Loudermilk (R) taking a group of people on a tour January 5?  I wasn't.  How about that gent taking pictures of staircases and hallways?  Rather serendipitous, wouldn't you say, since he happened to be one those marching to the capital the very next day.  At first Loudermilk said the tour was for family, and then he said it was for family and friends, and then he changed his story to say it was for family, friends, and friends of friends (or something to that effect).  You do know that the Republicans pulled this shit because they thought they were going to get away with it.  Now they're running around trying to coverup their shitty asses.

Finally, it seems as though the GOP is going to escalate 'voter fraud' into being their most favorite dead horse to kick.  Pay close attention to what's happening in Nevada.  Losing candidate Joey Gilbert is already stomping away because he won in so many counties, though lost bigly in Clark county, which gave Lombardo the win... by 11%.  Ouch.

Stupidity Embraced

Day #2 in my long weekend has arrived.  Forecast?  nice temps and low humidity.  I'm planning on painting the old / new backdoor.  I primed it yesterday so it's ready to go.

And I did make Kung Pao chicken for dinner.  Here's a pic of it on a bed or rice.  Yes, there are also red and green peppers as well as some chili peppers.  In some recipes the only veggies are the chilis.  Can we talk tasty here?  Oh, and I don't sliver my green onions.

I see where the Idiot Jerk in the White House had an indoor rally in Nevada.  If you're a Democrat or an Independent voter who knows anyone who attended, take some serious precautions.  Republicans don't believe Covid is serious.  The deaths don't phase them, most likely because minorities and seniors are those hardest hit.  I watched about 15 seconds with the volume turned down. Can we talk about a sea of white people who don't believe in science?  Nope, there isn't one iota of a common sense idea among them.  Stupidity is embraced.

And another song has joined the list for inclusion in The Body in the Loch.  In case you're wondering, I don't have this long playlist in my head.  Now and then I will hear a song, and think about the lyric.  Sometimes in surprising places.  They keep playing this one at work, part of their oldies playlist.  It is a classic.  Now you're going to have to figure out how it plays into the story.

Big

Well, my 3 weeks of crappy schedules starts tomorrow.  Even though I'm in the system for consecutive days off, I don't have any.  I did talk to our store manager... who will talk to our scheduler.  We shall see if things go back to the way they were.
My 87 year old Spanish woman purchased her flooring yesterday.  Personally, when I get to be that age, I don't want to be taking on any major house projects.  I don't believe she understands the complexities of ripping out an existing tile floor in her bathroom and installing a new one.  She's having vinyl put down in her laundry room.  To do that, she needs her existing appliances disconnected, our installers will not do that.  I put notes in the system for them to remind her what needs to be done, and suspect they will arrive to find the job site is not ready.  Renovations are rarely enjoyable occasions.
The temps here in Central PA are forecast to go up into the 50's (F).  Looking ahead, Accuweather is predicting some cool days ahead, but for the most part I do believe winter is over.  I'm not going to say we're not going to be getting snow, or sleet, or freezing rain, but the chances of that happening are getting slimmer every day.
And, for those who haven't seen the news, Bernie won Big Time in Nevada yesterday.  There were no Republican caucuses because the party of the Idiot Jerk in the White House was concerned opposition to his hate filled agenda.  Rather than let voters voice their opinions, allow them to show their discord, the GOP shut it down.  That's almost fascist, you know?  As for Bernie?  A lot of people voted for him.  Many may not like his winning, but it is Big for the Democrats.  We are unifying behind one candidate.  I will admit to being surprised.  Latinos and young people said yes.  Middle aged and older white voters said 'yes.'  If Bernie is the nominee, the Idiot Jerk believes he'll be elected top a 2nd term.  That will not happen.  As Bernie said when he declared victory yesterday, 'the American people are tired of having a President who lies daily.'  This is the truth.  America is fed up with Republicans.
On a lighter note, I thought I'd post a pic of Biggie.

Apologies if I posted this one before, but he is my big baby.

Las Vegas, Money, and a not so warm, fuzzy feeling

Some odd points about yesterday.
While America was reeling over the horror that happened in Las Vegas, I was surprised to see that not everyone was horrified.  You say "WHAT?  How could anyone be anything but shocked?"  Well, investors weren't.  The Dow Jones went up 152 points.  For those who don't know, that's a lot of stocks.  At a time when many were shocked senseless by the sheer magnitude of death and suffering caused by one, lone individual, there were those out there more concerned with making money.  So, am I the only one who sees a correlation there?  Between money and evil?  That times of horrible evil are also times to make lots of money?  To turn death and horror into profit?  I hope not.  Yet there are those out there who thought it would be very good for their bank accounts.  Now, isn't that frightening?
And could someone please explain to me what a "warm condolence" is?  I have no idea.  Isn't a "warm condolence" a paradox?  Warm and fuzzy, and yet sorry and sad.  The definition of condolences is :  an expression of sympathy, especially on the occasion of a death.    So can someone please tell me about warm sympathy?  I ask this because the Idiot Jerk in the White House sent "warm condolences" to the victims families and the survivors of the Las Vegas Horror.  I suspect that this is about as heartfelt as he can get since he, himself is the epitome of shallow insincerity
Finally, I would remiss if I didn't point out that Nevada, with it's most liberal gun laws, has suddenly become the poster child for gun control.  The fact that one very crazy man can amass a collection of 23 guns in a hotel room without anyone raising a flag is... well, it's as horrifying as the horror he unleashed.  This man may have actually walked through the lobby, a high powered rifle in each hand, and no one would have said a thing because he wasn't breaking the law.  He may actually have carried his armory bit by bit, across the lobby twelve or more times.   Think about it.
