Well, today is Sunday and I don't have to work. I did get in 52 minutes of weight training, burning off 326 calories. This afternoon, after I get back from visiting my Mom, I'll get in, hopefully, a nice, long bike ride.
Yesterday hundreds of thousands of Americans took part in the March For Life. I had two customers come in who had been to the one in Harrisburg. She showed me pictures they'd taken and I found myself tearing up. Our unification is growing. They said there were about 1500 people there. Attendance would have been higher but geography got in the way. Harrisburg is very centrally located. Washington DC is only 75 minutes away, in fact it's closer than Philadelphia. The turn out in Washington was Immense!
One of the major themes at every march was the need to get out and vote. Vote. Vote! Vote!!
And, of course, there were a lot of Democrat politicians in attendance. Few, if any, Republicans showed up, not that anybody expected them to participate. They spit out phony words about respect but worried about infringing upon the 2nd Amendment rights, really what they were saying was that NRA campaign donations are far more important. They believe voters can be bought by television ads, and (possibly) Russian hackers. They will not understand until they get voted out of office.
Even then they will not understand. This is a party that has spent decades lying to themselves. They claim to be the party of Lincoln without understanding how far they've evolved in the opposite direction, becoming self-centered and hateful. Getting voted out of office will not educate them. They will never understand how wrong they are. They will die out like the dinosaurs, but will leave no fossilized remains.
Anyway, this is Sunday. My day of rest... well, not exactly. But I do plan doing some enjoyable things. Yes, riding a bike is fun. Move forward. Ride on. Live the good life. Ain't it great!
the march in philly was great yesterday. all empowering citizens to GET UP OFF YER FAT ASS AND VOTE! FUCK THE NRA!
