Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Bread

If it's Tuesday... then this must be my Sunday.  That means I get to go back to work tomorrow for a 6 day stretch.  Of course, after that, I have 2 off, then 3 on, and then 6 off as I head into another Staycation.  On September 4, my vacation gets reset with another 3 weeks.  And, of course, I'm going to be going full part-time.  That date has been set.  I tried informing HR and was told I needed to tell my manager (????).  I used to be in HR, and that's odd.  I got the distinct impression she didn't want to get involved.  (????)

And this morning I did wake up to the heavenly scent of baking bread.  I went back to that trustworthy Italian recipe I've been using.  No problems.  When I cleaned out the bread pan after the 'accident', I found baked bread around the top but gooey batter in the bottom.  Very sticky.

Am I like the only one wondering if Lindsey Graham is actually suffering from a breakthrough of the variant?  Supposedly, he has flu-like symptoms.  But we all know how much of  a liar he is.  And, if this is true, how many other Congressmen might he have infected.  As far as I know, there are only 2 who haven't been vaccinated.  I'm betting they're Republicans.  Good.  Maybe they'll get sick.

The Covid headlines coming from the deep south are not good, especially if you happen to be a Social Conservative.  I understand Tony Perkins blurted out some sort of inanity that natural immunity is better then the vaccine.  This means the only numbers he looks at are those in his bank account, otherwise he'd understand that many of those who have already died are Christian, some very devout.  History will define this man as a total failure.

Cracker Jack Crazy

Crap, I got home yesterday prepared for a ride... and the bluetooth wasn't cooperating.  Since I tend to lack patience on certain things, I find issues like this time consuming.  In the end, it turned out to be a fixable problem with the radio transmitters of my Ant +, the dongle that connects to my Tacx.

It's Italian food day at work today.  Chicken Parmigiana, or Vegetarian Lasagna... and one other entre are on the menu.  I hope they have cannolis.  Tomorrow it's supposed to be Ice Cream day...  and I don't believe we're talking about simple cones or sandwiches here.  Can't wait to find out.

I realized this morning I'd forgotten to respond to your comments yesterday... the bike thing took almost an hour to resolve.  Damn!  And by then I had to move down to the kitchen to cook.  Using the rest of the taco beef and rice, I made stuffed peppers.

Two are in the freezer, one will be Monday's lunch.

And I see where the Idiot Jerk is going to nominate a Cracker Jack Crazy Christian to the Supreme Court. He's going to give his ultra-conservative base everything their dirty, little hearts crave.  I believe most of us knew this was going to happen.  This is part of his deal with the devil.  Power needs to be taken away from this minority group, other wise they will destroy the country, preferring some dystopian horror to democracy.  I think Joe Scarborough has a pretty good idea what's going to happen.  Every one of their evils will be undone.  For some of them, reality is going to be cruel.  They deserve it.  They are selfish, uncaring, and unsympathetic.  We are seeing the culmination of the Reagan lie, that the country is overwhelming conservative.  The time has come to end it and send their despot fleeing to Russia.  We need to teach them a terrible lesson.  Good.

This is amusing:  Lindsey Graham appeared on Fox pleading for Cash.  His campaign is in trouble.  Woe is me, Lindsey Belle.  This loser doesn't understand he's going to be sent packing back to Hell with his boss by the voters of South Carolina.  It's time to put the champagne on ice.

Finally, I saw where the Idiot Jerk's #2 spawn, Eric has said his father would accept a peaceful transition if the voters "blow him out of the water."  Eric... start packing now.

Looks like a sperm to me

It's Sunday morning and, as I prepared to jump on the Elliptical for a robust 30 minutes of aerobic exercise, I realized there was a floater swimming across my field of vision, and it looked like a sperm.  It looked a lot like this, except it was black on a light background.

Had I been Franklin Graham I probably would have plucked out my eye, being so afraid such a sight might make me Gay.  (Too late)  And as for those Million Crazy Christian Moms?  Well, we all know they only have sex in the dark, and then only to make a baby, so they wouldn't know a sperm from an amoeba.
Anyway, it is Sunday, and it being 35 minutes later, I've just completed my cardio.  And since I'm on my way to remaking my body, thanks to a fixed schedule, I've started tracking everything.  To do this I'm using a Garmin Fenix 3 HR (pronounced phoenix).

I can wear this baby to bed if I want to track my sleep levels... I don't.  I did turn on the notifications app, which lets me keep my phone in my pocket while at work.  Some customers really hate to see associates checking their phone.  In fact, this just does about everything I ever needed in an HR monitor.  The only App that really is pretty useless to me is the Golf App.  Give me a break!  Who do they think I am, Trump at Mar Lago every weekend?

Republican Reality

It's funny listening to the Republicans waffle.  Some of them understand there is something wrong with their party, some of them don't.  I suspect a lot of them are simply parroting what their leaders want them to say without even taking the time to try and comprehend what their words mean.  A few of them know they need to start down the path of change, but change is difficult.  They're blaming Romney for running a bad campaign, but they were all behind it.  They're blaming the polls.  Franklin Graham is blaming the Evangelicals.  This party likes to point fingers at everybody but themselves.  They like to point to past Republican presidents citing their accomplishments without bothering to note that these presidents did not lean far to either left or right but were, rather, centrist presidents.  This election cycle they tried pointing to the Founding Fathers as representing traditional beliefs without bothering to explain how Liberal those beliefs actually were, like Freedom of Religion.  They're not acknowledging that if it hadn't been for the racist vote Romney would have ended up with what, 39%?  Guess what, the racists are slowly dying off.  America is changing and they're being left behind.  Their Party Platform was so far to the right and they thought people would jump on board.  They don't understand that candidates like Akins and Mourdoch are 60 years too late.  Now they're accepting the fact that revenue needs to be on the table to avoid the fiscal cliff they helped design and they are bit happy.  Why?  Because they are all wealthy and it's their own taxes they're going to have to raise by cutting out loopholes.  That's why they stand around looking like they've been sucking on lemons.  This election has shown them just how unspecial they are.  I think Mitch McConnell looks particularly sour.  Could be he has discovered he's standing there with a diaper full of shit.

Time for a diaper change?
