War Machine
Right now in Central PA, we have overcast skies and drizzle. The temp is sitting at around 40 (F). Things will warm up... slightly. Tomorrow our temps might make it up to the low 50s (F). Keep in mind we're still 8 days from the start of Spring. Our temps are normal for this time of year. But don't worry, only 100 days until summer.
Yesterday was sort of a meh day and yet not. There was that dental appointment in the morning. A cleaning appointment has been set up as well as an appointment to have that right back molar extracted. On the extraction, they asked if I wanted to be anesthetized. I'm not a big fan of anesthesia. I have had it done three times, for the tonsils, the hernias, and the colonoscopy; that is more than enough to realize I don't like it. So, I suppose they're going to end up numbing the hell out of my gums.
I did get a decent little workout in. Then in the afternoon I had lunch with friends. After lunch I didn't really want to do much of anything. For dinner, I finished off the fries I'd bought for lunch. And then I watched a movie on Netflix. War Machine. It was filled with testosterone entertainment, and Alan Ritchson. There's a lot of action and a giant, killing war machine. Oh, and did I mention Alan Ritchson?
And does anyone have any idea what the price of Brent crude is today? I'd heard it was over $100 a barrel. I'm guessing that isn't making Wall Street too happy. So much for you 401ks. And the idiot in the White House? He's doing what he's always done, or at last trying to, and that is move on to something else. He will never, ever take responsibility for any of his actions. Everything he does is calculated to make him look stronger, more powerful, and better. He has absolutely no consideration for anyone else in the world.
And what about Keg Breath Hegseth banning photographers because their pictures make him look bad. Actually the word by so many sources is unflattering. Damn, we have a Secretary of Defense who's more concerned with how he looks on camera than doing his job. Heggy is truly a terrible human being. A religious fanatic, he will put so many others in harm's way while never letting himself be put in danger. He's a coward who hides behind alcohol and phony faith.
What is so amazing to me is that the Republican party is so out of touch with America, that they simply refuse to even try to understand how a majority of the population is turning against them. But, I suppose this is always the case with wannabe authoritarians.
So Alan Ritchson, huh? I am going to take a look. And I hope the MAGAts feel that gas pinch. They’re going to blame probably Biden. And you know those man babies always complain if they don’t “look good”. Idiots. It’s all for show. You wouldn’t believe how many “they’re both the same” takes about the parties I’ve seen lately though. People are idiots.
You're right about the public's sentiment towards Democrats, I think it's because just about every time a Republican talks he derides Democrats, and Democrats are still taking the high road on that one.
This is a powerful and sobering look at the 'War Machine.' You really hit the nail on the head regarding how much of our resources go into destruction rather than construction. It’s a lot to think about, especially with the current headlines.
Keg breath is very strange I can remember in some interview he was babbling on about only having handsome good looking physically fit men in the army and branches of military.. if he's that descriptive of what he wants maybe he really wants dick? Sometimes I wonder if he or Pam Bondi will be the next one gone.
