Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Big Snow Flakes and Big Balls

My weekend is over.  That's right, I get to go back to work... today.  If I didn't like getting my paychecks so much, I'd go part-time, but let's be honest here, that deposit into my accounts every 2 weeks is really rather nice.

One of the unfortunate things I'm going to need to do this morning is do my daily Health Check.  You'd think that by now going on line and filling out a very short survey should have become part of my routine.  It hasn't.  Even though there is a post-it note hung from the bottom of my monitor, I sometimes forget. There must be some sort of Freudian slip happening.

I received an email yesterday stating that my treadmill had reached its 'destination city,' which is apparently Middletown, which is about 17 miles away.  According to the information they gave me, Estes should be calling to set up a delivery date.  Will this new piece of equipment be here before Christmas?  That would be nice.  I'm off on the 24th and 25th, which would give me time to get it assembled.

And for those with an interest, here's a pic of my winter tree.  I have a set of miniature skis coming tomorrow, and next to be ordered: a hockey puck and a 2 different sets of ice skates.  What really stands out right now are the snow flakes and the big balls... oh, and the fact that I haven't decided what I want to use as a tree skirt.

Of course, there are other flakes in the world besides the snowy kind.  Ken Paxton, the AG from Texas is good example.  He's ignoring the state courts and taking his suit against the 4 battleground states directly to the Supreme Court.  16 additional Republican AG's have jumped on board?  Woah, we have a bit of a storm brewing here.  I understand the Idiot Jerk in the White House has asked another Texas Flake to plead their argument should the Supreme Court decide not to just flush this turd.  They don't seem to understand how big of a failure this will be if the Supreme Court they desperately tried to stack chooses not to hear their claim.  Ouch!

Flakes

Well, the work week begins... again, but only for a day.  I'm scheduled off on Tuesday and Wednesday.  That's nice.  I do like my time off.  Temps are supposed to be cold.  That's fine, too.  I have heat, as well as two thermal canine units warming the bed at night.

The decorating of the 'all season' tree continues.  Right now I'm putting on white and silver snow flakes.  Winter, you know?  I've kept one of my Chewy boxes and have designated it Winter.  I have other ornaments that I'm holding onto because they're old, from when I was a kid... and that means they're very old.

Oh, and Rudy Gazooty's in the hospital with Covid.  He's 78 and it wouldn't surprise me if he had a whole host of health issues.  This is what comes with being a flake.  With him sidetracked for at least 2 weeks, the Idiot Jerk needs to rely on Jenna Ellis (?) to lead his baseless fight of fraudulent claims.  Not surprisingly, she has no legal experience regarding constitutional law, however, she is a bottle blond and flakey, and that's always a major plus for the Idiot Jerk in the White House.

And Rudy isn't the only one who's 78, so's Streisand.  I don't know about others who are approaching their senior years, but that seems so odd to me.  I can remember Alan Light, back when I lived in Fairview Heights, exuberantly talking about her, in fact it was at his house that I first heard her sing "Sam, You Made the Pants Too Long."  That was 54 years ago.  I have difficulty at times comprehending so many years have passed.  Son of a bitch!

And now a word from Cory Booker:

Yesterday was rainy...   Occasionally there were times of spotty drizzle, a misty dampness clinging to the lenses of your glasses you are forced to smudge away with a swipe of your forefinger.  And still, I took the dogs for a walk.  Even Biggie will go for a walk as long as it isn't a steady rain.

Otherwise, all I did was a spot of cleaning and a couple loads of laundry.  I'm in the process of switching to my new schedule: sleeping a bit later.  And I did go to the gym this morning.  Only for about 20 minutes.  It's on my schedule for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.  My only issue was that a couple had set up shop around one of the machines I like to use.  Setting up shop means they brought over several sets of dumbbells, had their towels, their beverages, and had decided they were going to do their workout in that one spot.

The tree I ordered is 'out for delivery.'  That was faster then I had been expecting.  The fairy ornament I had ordered arrived yesterday.  He is bigger than I was expecting, at least 8 inches.  Of course, there's nothing wrong with large ornaments.

I saw where one of the Idiot Jerk's spawn, Eric, cancelled a visit to a gun shop in Michigan once it was discovered that an employee was part of that group of domestic terrorists who planned to kidnap the Governor.

And the Idiot Jerk is back on the campaign trail.  He held a maskless rally yesterday in Florida.  One thing you can count on, his attorneys will challenge every state in which Biden wins, even in a landslide victory.  He will never concede, that would make him a loser.  How do we make him pay?  Sign onto his Twitter account and every 20 seconds Tweet one word at him.  Loser!  You can bet he'll shut that account down faster than he guzzles a Diet Coke.

And finally, the sham hearing began yesterday for Coney-Barrett.  She sat there arrogantly wearing her mask believing God had put her in this position for a purpose.  Well, we all know she's wrong.  We all know she's Cracker Jack Crazy.  As for the hearing?  Cory Booker summed it up perfectly.  A minority group of people is desperately trying to shove their socially conservative beliefs down America's throat.  "This is not Normal."  He repeats that phrase several times.  We must stop them now.

No President is King

Okay, I was wrong.  Management did choose to drape thick, black plastic over our Black Friday Specials.  Some people find this quaint.  Yesterday an older woman asked me about the black, low density polyethylene so I told her "Black Friday."  She smiled because she thought it was cute.  Go figure.
Yesterday was slow.  Not excruciatingly, but those days are coming.  The same thing happens every year.  Sales have always been cyclical.  Of course, corporate doesn't let that get in the way of setting budgets.  The Sales Plan does go down, but never as much as the plan from the previous year.  In retail there is always an increase.  We have to keep those stockholders happy.
A judge has ruled that the Idiot Jerk in the White House can not keep witnesses from testifying.  The line that stood out most to me was "the president is not a king."  The sad truth is that the one MAGA elected wants to be more than a king.  He wants to be a dictator.  You can bet this decision is going to the Supreme Court.  This is why he tried to put in as many Conservative judges as possible, to protect his sorry ass.
And once again Rudy Gazooty said he's not worried.  He has insurance.  I'm wondering if that might be a copy of the Golden Shower Tape.  If not that, then some other juicy tidbit detailing how the Idiot Jerk compromised himself with the Russians.  He evidently doesn't seem to be too worried, so maybe behind the scenes he's talking to the Democrats about becoming a State's Witness.  That threat would no doubt sent shivers down the the Idiot Jerk's corpulent torso, shaking all of that jelly from Hell.
My Marlowe has arrived.

I set myself up for a subscription.  If I don't like it, I'll just cancel.  This is how life is.
Finally, customers began buying live Christmas Trees yesterday.  They want them up for Thanksgiving.  Impress the relatives, you know?  Look!  Live tree!  In 3 weeks they'll be hearing dead pine needles falling to the floor.  You only need one to start a cascade.  And in 4 weeks their floor will be covered with them.  Live trees belong in the forest.

The Greatest Christmas Present Ever

Well, here it is Sunday morning - tomorrow's Monday and some of you have to go back to work... now ain't that a bitch.  I have off.  Not only do I have off tomorrow, I work one day and then have another day off... which is almost sweet.
So far today, besides playing fetch with the dogs, I've set up my new CycleOps trainer and, using an Ant + stick have connected it to my Samsung laptop.  I'd bought the laptop when the arthritis in my lumbar region (last 5 vertebrae) had paralyzed my right leg and I wanted a fast, portable gaming computer.  It's shit.  It looks, good, got great reviews, but the keys pop off... and it's slow.  With 2 hard drives it runs slow as frozen piss.
And the rumor out there is that the Idiot Jerk in the White House is going to fire Mueller after the Republican Congress passes their horse shit Tax Overhaul.  The minority base supporting the Idiot Jerk will be happy as pigs in shit... however, a majority of Americans will be not only very unhappy, but very angry.  Does that minority group come even close to comprehending this?  Absolutely not.  Do they understand that the great majority will lift up their very large majority feet and begin to stomp them into the ground?  Absolutely not.  You see, no matter what that Fat Pig in the White, or the party itself, says this is about total control.  That's right.  For them 'making America great' means having total control - nothing else.  The truth, however, is that America will only be great after this minority group is voted out of office.  For America to be great this minority group needs to lose any vestige of control... forever.  Their end is approaching.  Roy Moore's loss, in spite of all the white, social conservative money flushed down the toilet was a neon road sign for them, which is why they're doubling down.  The Tsunami is growing to a towering height and instead of running for higher ground, hoping to somehow survive, they're digging in, trying to strengthen the foundations they are building on the sand.  It's about total control... no matter what.
The truth they totally refuse to see is that by firing Mueller, the Idiot Jerk in the White House would be giving the growing Majority of Americans the Greatest Christmas Present ever, but then most losers are always blind.
Anyway, I had been thinking about putting up a tree this year... but probably will not because of the dogs.

You see I was talking to a woman at work who put up a tree, and she has 2 dogs, both smaller than mine, and the one named Otis grabbed hold of the lights... and ran.  Chaos and Catastrophe.  Me?  I told her that I'd be more concerned with coming home and finding branches... all over the house.

Reese's candy catastrophe

Evidently there's this big to do going on about Reese's and their peanut butter Christmas trees and, since the Reese's factory is just down the road from me, I thought I might as well comment.  First of all, you have to remember that this is a piece of peanut butter candy dipped in milk chocolate.  Secondly, this is mostly to be eaten, not looked at.  I don't know anybody who unwraps a piece of candy just to look at it.  In fact, there is only one reason this candy tree even exists, and that is to be eaten.  You're not going to frame it and hang it over your mantle.  You're going to take a bite out of it.  It should not be about how it looks, but how it tastes.  Get over it people.  Still, there are those out there who want it to look a lot like this:

Gee, now ain't that cute.  Bet it's homemade.

What's actually inside the wrapper is something like this:

Now, I'll be one of the first to admit that this does not look a lot like a tree.  And I will also admit that perhaps Reese's went a little too far in calling it a tree.  Christmas lump might be more apropos.  But then I also have to admit it is just meant to be eaten.  In fact, the truth is most people will unwrap this bulk produced candy and shovel it into their mouths with out so much as a curios glance.  People, get over it!  There are more important things to think about in this world then they way a freaking piece of candy looks.  Like... will I be finding the new Fallout Four under the Christmas tree this year.
