Zero Tolerance Catastrophe

Monday, and the forecast is for the day to be a real stinker, hot and humid, which is why I'll do some outside chores, but mostly stay inside.  Tomorrow is supposed to be a bit cooler.
I rode 46 miles on the bike last week, plus got a workout in, which was pretty good.  Yesterday I rode for an hour - total 15.8 miles.  I was going to take the Synapse out on the road, but changed my mind.  I'm going to switch the pedals for the first time.  Yes, I have 2 sets of pedals.  One set is for the shoes, the other is for mountain biking.  Mountain bike pedals let you wear either specialized shoes or regular shoes.  The first time I take this expensive bike out, I'll be wearing my running sneakers.  Just a precaution.  I"m too old to go around crashing bikes.

And what about that immigration shit storm hitting the fans in Washington?  How many ways can you spell failure?  We know the Idiot Jerk spells it:  Zero Tolerance.  Someone should have told him separating children from their parents is a dead end bargaining chip.  While his base loves this tactic, but then his base is filled with racists.  A majority of Americans find the program itself as intolerable.  They sent Jeffy Sessions out to mollify the Evangelicals with a Bible verse... and a majority of Americans said "What in hell are you talking about?  These are children!"  Yesterday some turd without a brain released a statement from Melanoma which essentially said, "it's bad, but we need to follow the law."  Like this cheap deal from The Bride Store is going to have zero impact.  Her idea of parenting is defined by nannies and tutors.  Every passing second makes the Idiot Jerk, and his base, look more and more inhumane.  But then he's never really been a people person, has he?

Should we have expected anything else from this failed sack of shit?  Will he cave?  Eventually, but not before he does a hell of a lot more damage.  As I've said before, we are watching the Republican Party die.  The sooner they are dead and buried, the better this country will be.

Baking with Biggie... and other things.

So, here it is, Thursday, and I get to take the bandage off of my surgical wound.  I slept without taking any of my meds, but took the Vicodin this AM because sitting down is a real bitch.  People think that stairs should be the problem, they're not, it's sitting down and then getting up - that's what hurts.  I'm also going to shave this AM - getting rid of that old, grizzled gray look. 
And I saw that Jeffey Sessions testified again yesterday, which is a very good thing.  The more he presents himself in public, the more he obviously lies and obfuscates the truth, the more people begin to realize he is an evil, little man.  He will never understand just how terrible he is because that would require him to question his own feelings of superiority - and he does believe himself to be quite superior.  Roy Moore is the same way, so special in his own eyes he fails to recognize his own contemptability.  America sees, however.  These people are so lost in their own failed belief systems they will never understand what is good and what is right.  They are total failures as human beings.
Oh, and the big Idiot Jerk in the White House is evidently supposed to meet with a lot of the little Idiot Jerks in the House to talk about their tax overhaul.  These people are so desperate to pass some form of legislation they stink worse than a two bit whore,  and what they're going to attempt to foist on Americans is being described as a dumpster fire.  Do they care?  Absolutely not!  They keep telling themselves they know what they're talking about, that their fiscal policies are great, in spite of the fact that they've always failed. 
Yesterday I also baked cookies, chocolate chip, from scratch... and I had help in the kitchen.  Big Seig.

What he really wanted to be was the official taster.  As you can tell from the picture, he's pretty much counter high, and he kept licking his chops every time I pulled a batch from the oven.  Did he get one?  Nah, chocolate's not good for dogs.  He did get treated to a couple of Gravy Bone dog biscuits as a reward for not standing up at the counter and eating them all in one fell swoop.

Social Conservative Porn

Saw an interesting bit in the LA Times this AM regarding James Woods, the crazy to the Right has been actor.  Evidently he announced his retirement from acting, one of the reasons given was his difficulty getting hired because of his... political views.
And, for those who missed it, yesterday, a 70 year old, white, social conservative published his version of Christian Porn.  Yep, Jeff Sessions published 25 pages of the stuff.  Evidently he "consulted" with a  Crazy to the Right Legal team in an attempt to legally cement their hatred towards... well, everybody who doesn't believe what they believe.  The second after publication members of the LGBT community started shouting and waving their red flags, however it effects so many, many more people. because it lets people who have certain beliefs say "no."  This Sessions' porn allows them to inflict pain and suffering simply by saying "it's against my religion."  One's own personal beliefs become the caretaker of discrimination.  If you're a minority, any minority, they can refuse to serve you, to provide help in your times of need.  This Sessions' porn allows certain people to look you in the eye and say "you have no worth."  It gives them the ability to ostracize whomever they choose.  For example, say you just happen to be a straight, Catholic couple who go to a baker who happens to believe that Catholics are phony, that they're false Christians, that baker can refuse to bake their cake because he believes they worship idols.  This Sessions' porn not only opens the door for legal discrimination, but for legal segregation as well.

And, of course, there are voices out there saying that this porn lacks specificity, that because of its generalized details, this thing will be tied up in the courts for years.  That's precisely what these haters want.  You see, they don't mind waiting until the Idiot Jerk in the White House loads the courts with enough like-minded haters who will constitutionalize and legitimize this hatred.

Republican Kobayashi Maru

Okay, so I was at the Optometrist this AM - and I had my eyes dilated so right now everything is very, very bright.  As the assistant administered the drops, she said, "oh, you have blue eyes, which means the dilation might last longer."  Yippee.
And what about that Republican Cluster Fuck going on down in DC?  The Idiot in the White House wants a vote on Health Care!  He wants the ACA gone.  He wants Sessions out!  Tillerson wants to resign! (He was there during the Idiot's 2 + hour meeting with Putin and now realizes that the Idiot is Evil Incarnate)!  And if the vote today fails Price is FIRED!  Now I know I didn't get it all, but I think those are some of the juicier bits.  At this point, all those crazy Conservatives who have spewed nothing but hatred towards the Democratic Party and the ACA for year are in a "no win situation."  This is their Kobayashi Maru.  If they give the Idiot what he wants, their political careers, for all intents and purposes, are over, at least for a majority.  If they deny his demand the shit storm that will follow will end their political careers forever, and again at least for the vast majority.  They put themselves in this position, and they will all pay the price.  They have doomed the Republican Party - but that's fine.  Just watch out for flying body parts!
While Big Seig was running around in the yard yesterday and bug of unknown origin stung him over his left eye.  There was a bit of swelling until he scratched it open, giving himself an eye booboo.  It's has pretty much healed over today, but last night?  I was thinking that I'm probably going to have to take him to the Vets today.

Heads Will Roll

So, this AM I was all set to order the Suunto Spartan when I decided to try and pair the Fenix one last time... and it paired.  I checked and Garmin updated their app, now all I have to do is see if this is a good fix, or one that is only temporary.
And on the funny irony side of things, last evening I left a comment on 'I should be Laughng' about the Idiot, and that we should be perhaps a little wary of his Idiocy and then this AM saw on Towleroad that Matt Drudge had Tweeted out something about the Idiot and his continually declining approval ratings, stating "Heads will Roll."  Of course they will, and each one that goes careening into the gutter will be another stake in the Idiot's dismal ratings.  You see, the Idiot's more than a bit confused.  You see in his illogical world, President is a synonym for Dictator; if you're a president you tell people what you want them to do and they do it... or else.  And he's even more pissed because the country isn't even letting him act like he's America's CEO.  Who's going to pay the price?  Everybody.  Sessions is on his shit list, so is Mueller,  and Rod Rosenstein  because "he's from Baltimore," not a lot of Republicans live in Baltimore.
The Idiot in the White House is a Scumbag, and has always been one.  He's a pathological liar.  His compassion for the American people might fill a teaspoon, if America is lucky.  The fact that 32 million people would be affected by a repeal of the ACA doesn't phase him the least.  In fact, the meatloaf he shared with Xi Jinping has more value to him than than the American people.  We are worth less than meatloaf.  He likes his chocolate cake, too, especially when it's been baked and served by legal aliens from Central America.
I truly believe that Matt Drudge, a gay conservative, is right, heads will roll, but that will only make the situation worse for the GOP.  And, in the end, the Idiot and his spawn will move the Moscow suburbs, where they belong.

Heaven on Earth

Don't ask me how Social Security works, I have absolutely no idea how they calculate things, however I do know that they very rarely make mistakes.  I say this because for the 2nd year in a row they've dropped a chunk of change into my checking account.  You see, I am retired even though I'm not old enough to retire.  Three years ago I noticed a weakness in my right leg which continued to worsen until I started falling down... a lot, like 6 times in one day.  Diagnosis?  Severe arthritis in my lower 5 vertebrae - no pain, just no strength.  Thinking I might end up being disabled for the rest of my life I retired.  They were going to perform laminectomies on those 5 vertebrae... until I started to walk again... on my own... without surgery.  I healed myself... at least that's what I think, rerouted the nerves and taught myself how to walk again.  I've been told I walk with a slight limp, and that I don't lift my feet as high as everybody else, but I'm doing up to 50 minutes or more of cardio every other day (except today which is a rest day).  Anyway, Social Security looks at my monthly wages and using their very obtuse calculations decides that I deserve a one time pay out, once a year.
On the Idiot scene, or at least in regard to haters given a position by the Idiot in the White House, there's the Jeff Sessions hate-athon he had with the Alliance Defending Freedom group recently.  Was anybody out there surprised he'd jolly up to such hatred?  I wasn't.  This guy is a part of that all white, Crazy Christian club that aims to have an all white, Crazy Christian America - if you're not one of them then you're against them.  You see, for them, that would be Heaven on Earth:  America the White and Crazy Christian.  And you had better believe that they are nuts!  Was it yesterday that a number of them gathered in the White House and laid their hands on the Idiot in prayer?  They have no idea he's a Christianist.  They believe he's going to help them legislate their hatred into reality, and he will do what they want because they praise him and douse him with accolades.  It's his ego, you see, every time they lay their hands on him, he believes he becomes even more supreme.  What did Forrest say?  "Stupid is as stupid does?"
Well, I'm going to run off and pay my taxes (not fun) and hit the supermarket.  I'm thinking I make bake bread this afternoon.  You know what they say, "it's all in the loaf."

Trump's bad Karma

Well, it looks like the Honeymoon is over.  Many News organizations (except for Fox) are beginning to cite this new Quinnipac Poll in regard to failed President Elect's popularity.  Some are calling his serious drop in ratings 'buyer's remorse.'  Me?  This is how Karma works.  Karma is not only about revenge, though many believe so, it is more concerned with fixing mistakes.  If your Karma is bad and you survive, you will become a much better person.  And Karma is a 2 sided blade:  Hillary had to lose in order for Trump to win, and Trump's Karma is so bad.  His bad Karma has encompassed and overwhelmed the bad Karma of the Republican Party and these mistakes need to be fixed.
He fooled a lot of people with his phoniness, but he's been phony for years and nobody cared.  Many though he was entertaining, a Reality TV Star infused with almost total irrelevance... and now he's our President Elect.  Now, in the morning when people are looking at themselves in the mirror while they brush their teeth, they're going to pause and mutter "oh, shit."  This is their Karma.  Our Karma will make us stronger.  Trump's Karma will...  well, get out the clown face.

He should know things are going south when his nomination for Attorney General says Trump's comments in a 2005 tape amount to 'sexual assault.'  Ooops.  And other news, whether fake or real,  which says that the Russians have enough dirt on him to blackmail him in to doing what ever they want?  Believe me, that's not even the cherry on top of the sundae.  His ratings are in a leaking submarine heading into a dive.

Will we survive as Americans?  Of course, we have broad shoulders, we have strong backs, we are not as stupid as Donald Trump.  Will he survive his Karma?  Nope.  When he won the election his Trump Train veered into a long, long tunnel... that's blocked by a landslide.  Things are only going to get darker for him.  This is his bad Karma.
