Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

West Point Tradition

According to Accuweather, our current temp is 49 (F).  We have a lot of sunshine, but it's a bit cool for Memorial Day weekend celebrations.  There is a very minor threat of showers, but temp wise we're supposed to be staying on the cool side.  This afternoon, if we're lucky, we might hit the very low 70s (F), not that these temps are going to stop people from celebrating.

My neighbors were celebrating for a bit, or at least I think she was.  At one point there music was turned up quite loud and I do believe she was dancing for a few minutes, or possibly doing jumping jacks because the vibration were shaking my floorboards.  When she (they) get loud, I counter by going louder.  While I don't know for certain, I suspect this pisses her off.  One of the first things she said to me after they moved in was "we're loud." a non too subtle warning if I must say so.  Shortly after my volume gets louder hers goes down.  If she got a pair of headphones or earbuds, she could play her music as loud as she wanted, but that would mean she'd need to learn to think, and I doubt if that will happen.

When I got to work yesterday things had already begun to slow down for the day.  We're not going to make plan for the week; the flooring department will.  I expect that this morning we'll be busy, but because the weather's nice, even if a bit cool, more people will be interested in in celebrating rather than spending their hard earned money.

I took a screen shot of Orangie's bitcoin grift-off.  Can you imagine spending a million buckos on this uninspiring food?

And the Orange Loser held a rally at West Point yesterday.  He was actually supposed to give a commencement speech, but... well, we have to be honest here, Orangie has absolutely no idea what a speech is.  Instead, he ran through his standard rally riffs.  He talked about trophy wives.  He said not one congratulatory word.  He did complain about Obama.  He bragged quite a bit, repeating his usually set of lies.  There are an abundance of videos out there of him looking like a complete ass.  One in which he is saluting the graduates, then he stops saluting, and then realizing he's the only one who's stop, once again salutes.  At the end of his ramble, he told the cadets he had to leave to take care of China and Russia and the laughed at him.  It surprised him; he turned to his right and asked "what's that?"  And then he left... early, without so much as a handshake.  Shaking every hand of the graduating class is tradition, but what's tradition to Orangie when he could be driving around in a golfcart?

One final note.  As far as I can tell, the only network to carry this embarrassment live was Fox Entertainment.  Other networks had short excerpts, and some were even critical.

Landslide

Well, it's Sunday.  A day of rest for some, but for me?  Just because I don't work doesn't mean I haven't a list of chores.  I need to wack so weeds.  I have an old bag of potatoes that's starting to go to seed so I'm thinking of cutting them up and putting them in the ground.  This  fall I could have my very own potato harvest.
I had thought yesterday I might skip the bike ride.... ...  Well, as of last evening I've ridden 66 miles so far this past week.  Since Monday is the start of my week, rather than Sunday, I might end up with... oh, maybe 80 miles.  That would be a record for me.
The Idiot Jerk gave the commencement speech at West Point yesterday.  He spoke a lot about 'unity,' using that word a number of times.  This dumb shit of a man has spent the last three and a half years dividing the country because he stupidly believed his base was a majority group.  Not that he's trying to mend any bridges.  More likely, I suspect, one of his speech writers thought 'unity' sounded nice since his approval rating is heading towards the drainage ditch.
And it looks as if someone else understands Dave's Axiom.  We get this opinion from someone at the NYT... a conservative, no less, who evidently thinks now's a good time to run around wearing a placard shrieking "the end is nigh!"  Don't you find it interesting how "landslide" managed to creep into this opinion?
There was more trouble in Atlanta.  The police once again look bad.  The man had a taser, and he was running away from the police, so they shot him.  The Idiot Jerk's white supremacist / MAGA head base has no problem with this which, is why he will gloss over this situation giving it a superficial mention at best.  To do otherwise would be totally incongruous for this Racist Republican.  He doesn't want to offend his shrinking base.  If he does so, no one is going to vote for him this coming November.
Finally, I thought I give you a shot of my cucumbers.

I started growing these babies from seeds.  Let's hope I get some fruit... or vegetable.  What is a cucumber exactly?  A fruit or a vegetable?  Or something else?

The GOP and Divine Wrath

I've been thinking about Ben Carson and his inability to get the record straight.  I say this because under scrutiny a lot of his personal history, the stuff he uses to manipulate people, seems to have been padded.  Now he is saying all that jazz about being offered a scholarship to West Point was really a problem with semantics.  Dropping the "semantics" word bomb is a clear indicator that a lie has been told, and this is Ben's way of tap dancing around the truth.  However, because he's a Krazy Kristian a number of other Krazy Kristians believe he's the real thing... how quickly they forget.
Remember George W?  He was also a Krazy Kristian.  He's the one who said to Bob Woodward "I talk to my Higher Father."  There were a lot of jokes back then since it did not seem as though his Higher Father was actually listening to him.  Of course the Krazies ignored the sarcastic humor because they were in love with his words.  He was the answer to their prayers, his presidency a gift from God.  Except nothing really good came out of those eight years.  In fact, if you think back, it seems as though we were actually suffering from Divine Wrath.

Pat Robertson makes a lot of predictions about what is going to happen to the United States since Marriage Equality has come to pass.  However, every one of those predictions has already happened to us during the George W. Bush presidency: worst terrorist attack in history, failed war in Iraq, Katrina, the second worst economic catastrophe in American History.  Someone needs to tell Pat Robertson those were not our salad days.  In fact, someone should point out to the Krazies that the last time one of their guys was in the White House, this country was smacked back again and again and again.
And, of course, the Krazies, and the GOP, will put the blame on someone else.  The fact that their phoniness, just like Ben Carson's, may have resulted in Divine Wrath is totally beyond their ken.
