We're under a heat advisory today. That means I'll be doing as little as possible outside. One of the forecasts I've seen has us topping off at 97 (F), however, there are others there are others that have us reaching triple digits; either high temp is a good reason for us to stay inside. Tomorrow and Friday our outside temp is predicted to be in the low to mid 90s (F), after that we're in for a cool spell with daily highs in the upper 80s (F).
One of these days I'll check to see how badly these hot days are effect my electric usage. The main reason I signed up for the budget plan for both my electric bill and my natural gas bill was because payments were balanced throughout the year. This worked well. For years my heating bill stayed at $59 a month. Then 5 years ago the monthly cost went up to $69. That lasted 2 years. Three years ago the cost went up to $79 a month. Two years ago the monthly charge was $89. This year, on the budge plan, I'm paying $100 a month. This is what happens when utility companies become "for profit" entities, when they sanctify 5% growth. Now I'm going to have to shop around for lower natural gas prices the same as I do for electricity prices.
This is my 2nd week in which I have 4 days off in a row. Now, while I'm sipping my morning coffee, I need to take a few seconds and ask myself if today is Wednesday, or Thursday.
And I'm pleased to announce that Lindsey Graham's pallbearers have arrived!

We won't watch but I'm sure I'll see the low-lights all over social media after the debacle!
ReplyDeleteI understand that "nationally televised" might be an issue.
DeleteSigning up for the budget plan is smart.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd do something like that with my electric bill. Smart, especially with global warming? I may even try and get one of those balcony solar panels! LOL
Cankles is constantly furious because the world does not bend to his will. Blood clot, do your job!
XOXO
The budget plans work fine, though they don't take into account global warning. And Trump's brain is too addled to understand his global lack of respect.
DeleteLove the pallbearers!
ReplyDeleteI understand they might even dance on his grave if people start tipping.
DeleteI'd love to see Dumpy flee the country. It would be good riddance as far as I'm concerned.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that he's pissed off so many countries, not too many want him as a permanent resident.
DeleteI love Argentina....don't send him there.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should tell your houseboys to relocate to Central PA permanently.
DeleteThanks orange Donny, our gas is going up again. Is your war on or off, we are confused. We are a bit cooler than yesterday but we are under a smoke yellow alert. The sky is trump coloured orange and it stinks too. I think those pallbearers are too good for Lindsay..When Trump goes how about garbage men to take out his trashy ass.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I would love to see an angry crowed chasing Trump down the street. And it's 99 (F) here, breaking a record.
DeleteOops I messed up again. Gigi
ReplyDeleteThat's okay.
DeleteTrumpy and company will split to his fiefdom of Venezuela.
