Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Well, This Seems to have Shut Him Up

Outside the temp is 65 (F) degrees and we gave drizzle.  This feels more like spring than autumn.  Once again our temps will be climbing into the low 70s (F).  Changes are coming.  By Saturday our daily high will be in the upper 50s (F).  Looking out of my window, I can see that the trees around my house are beginning to rapidly lose their leaves.  They are not showering down yet, but they soon will be and then I'll have to go out and rack them.

I do get to work this afternoon.  The store will be slow, so I'll be getting paid to walk the aisles.

This might surprise some, but I didn't spend a lot of time celebrating Tuesday's midterm victories.  I did spend some time reading about them and silently gloating to myself.  My brother spent sometime texting back forth.  Like many conservatives, he seems to be at a loss as to how things went so badly for the Republicans.  Evidently Ann Coulter, like J.D. Vance, has stated the main reason for this GOP upset is the war with Iran, everything else is peripheral.  This has always been a problem with conservatives, their inability to grasp the big picture, satisfying their intellect with what they define as a root cause.  The narrowness of their minds is so easily scribed in their words, their actions, and their beliefs.  Many white Republicans fail to grasp the importance of the Latino vote, yet it was those voters in Texas who crushed both Abbot and Paxton at the polls.  The fact that half of Mississippi voted for the Democrat doesn't even register.  Republicans haven't even reached the "how can this be stage!"

Anyway, this is a short entry because Howie woke me up early because he had to go outside.  I'm going to post this and then both of us are going back to bed.

Here's the new cover of Time magazine.

  2. Time cover priceless. Maga blaming the war for the loss but not the loser who started the war, priceless.
We are at 61degrees and sunny, feels like summer. Just walked up to the mailbox to drop in a bill in a teeshirt. Our gas prices dropped 11 cents a litre yesterday and going down more tomorrow so I will fill up then. Gigi

  3. Ann Coulter? Is she still relevant? And I still chuckle about Greg Abbott. Is it safe to say he lost his job to a Lantina!?!? LMAO!!!!!!

    1. You're right! Coulter is an old pundit trying to be relevant.

I did the same. Gloating to myself. And conservatives do not understand how after lying, cheating and stealing they didn’t win.
    Love that Time cover.
