Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

The Truth Terrifies Them

Sunday Funday.  Kind of, kind of not.  I am off work.  I also slept in late because I stayed up late (very late) and watched the final episodes of Star Trek, Discover, season 3.  I enjoyed it immensely.  Now I'm waiting for season 4, which is supposed to begin streaming in November.

The large, orange home improvement retailer I work for is going to keep us masked until further notice.  Our Governor, Tom Wolf, said more restrictions are going to be lifted on May 31.  As you might expect, there whines rising from the Republicans.

On the garden scene, the rose in my front yard is beginning to burst into bloom.  Interestingly enough, the color seems to have changed from an orangey coral, to a reddish coral.  I have no idea how this could happen... perhaps something in the soil?

I'm going to my brother's farm this afternoon for some sort of belated Mother's Day gathering for my sister.  I was going to bake a golden cake with fudge icing until he asked if I could bring either macaroni or potato salad.  So, rather then making something delicious from scratch, I stopped by my local Giant Supermarket and picked up a gallon of each.

And, of course, people are noticing another big Republican hypocrisy:  they shriek and moan about how the left is cancelling things they don't like, while at the same time cancelling the voices who call them out for being frauds and liars.  You don't have to think long to realize this has always been the truth.  Their whole political movement has supported one lie after another while simultaneously attacking all criticism.  Let's be honest hear.  The Big Lie actually began with Reagan's landslide re-election, they decided America was actually Conservative, not Centrist.  For decades they looked for another Reagan and found... no one.  Instead of re-evaluating his win, they turned into the Tea Party, which mutated into the MAGA base they now have.  The Big Lie now blames everything on massive election fraud.  It's so much easier for them to believe that, rather then the simple truth that they're nothing but a group of sore losers.  The truth terrifies them.

Bomb This

For those who missed it, the Idiot Jerk in the White House shat a big one yesterday, all steamy and runny, right in the faces of all those Alt-Right, Make America Great supporters who put him into the Oval Office.  He claims their messiah, Steve Bannon, has "lost his mind."  A majority of Americans already knew that, so give me a break, but not those decrepit members who used to call themselves "The Tea Party."  They Love Steve.  They hate old school Republicans like Mitch McTurtle; they are the swamp the Idiot Jerk was going to drain.  And those old school Republicans?  They totally fail to understand the number of voters the Alt-Right messiah brought to the polls, but then they've never really had a strong grasp on reality.  They are too busy running around, patting themselves on the back and laughing "we're in charge, we're in charge."  You would think they would understand that they're going to need to fund the government and their Idiot Jerk leader has just alienated a large percentage of their voting block.  Dumb Shits.
There was also that funny bit about Paul Manafort's attorneys filing some sort of bogus lawsuit claiming Mueller and the DOJ investigations were too broad... which made me laugh.  These bobos don't seem to realize that the investigation is narrowly focused on Manafort's being a traitorous scumbag.  This stinks of desperation.
And the Cyclone Bomb is upon us!!
Being far enough from the Eastern Seaboard to only get steady flurries, and light snow (thought we'll be getting the bitterly cold temps) I consider myself lucky.  Those farther east?  Can you say bombogenesis?  Sounds like something from "The Wrath of Khan," doesn't it?

Oh, wait, that was the Genesis Effect, though they did use a device, which might be construed as a bomb if you want to argue otherwise.  Either way. the bomb is here, both in the shit storm consuming the Idiot Jerk's administration, and the weather.

Bad, Bad Republican Karma

Karma has always been working against the Republicans, the Conservatives, the Tea Party, what ever name they want to give themselves.  This is an historical fact.  Mostly this is because they totally refuse to see themselves as the Grand Old Party.  Even when someone tells them they're not so grand their arrogance sidelines any chance of comprehension.  They truly believed that Reagan's landslide win made their shit a perfumey and that they could do what they want... and we ended up with the Iran Contra Affair.  And then George H. Bush swept that shit under the carpet, of course he only managed one term because their trickle down, Reaganomics were falling apart.  That was all bad karma.
And then we had George W who got into the White House on a technicality.  Right off the bat their bad karma started smacking, not only them, but America as well. We started a war in the Middle East over phony weapons of mass destruction, and then weekly color coded terror threats to terrify Americans into voting W in for a 2nd term... and then we got the worst recession in American History.  All of this happened while they were in the White House.
What happened when Clinton was in the White House?  The 'Dot Coms' hit and everybody made oodles and oodles of money... except Republican states... bad Karma.
And now we have the Idiot in the White House... holy smackarinis!  Let's talk about bad Karma! Ever since the Idiot got in through a technicality, the GOP has had so many stinky racing stripes in their tighty whities they're starting to call it a pattern... and, well, it is, a pattern called Bad Karma.  And, just as they always do, they're trying to point the finger at anyone but themselves.  In fact, pointing fingers is the only thing they've ever excelled at, so much so that it has become the defining characteristic of credibility in any and all opposing voices.

Anyway, this is my Saturday so I'm going to try and do weekend stuff.  Yeah, you know, like mow the grass.  And I want to try and hang a new ceiling light in my kitchen.  We shall see.

Boehner 'let's loose the hounds' kind of...

John Boehner is quitting his job.  His last day will be at the end of October - scary because the only thing he's managed to do while in the position is keep rabid Tea Partiers at bay... well, sort of.  However er, they don't want to be kept at bay.  They want to attack, attack, attack no matter how terrible it makes them look.  They want to shut down the government as often as they can in order to prove to themselves how powerful they are, without the least bit of consideration of the damage they're doing.  They headlines are interesting, most of them alluding to this fact.
However, I did see this little thing, about this little investigation going on which might also factor into his resignation.  Of course, he's not the only politician who's had problems with campaign financing.  You would think they'd know by now that money is like drugs, and the best thing to do is just say 'no.'  Oh, wait, that's right, I'm speaking about a Republican here.  Anyway, we'll have to wait and see if this pans out.

Personally, I've always thought he was a little too smarmy, even for a politician... sort of like 'old school' scum.
Of course, maybe it's true that he's quitting as a result of pressure from the Far Right.  If that's is the case it couldn't have happened at a worst time for them.  They have a clown parade of wanna be presidents, and they're going to replace Boehner with a Speaker who's going to 'let loose the hounds.'  Looks like we'll have another Democrat in the White House in 2016.

Tea Party - Still lying through their teeth

So, I know there are a lot of people out there who believe the Tea Party is the best thing for this country since sliced bread.  They see it's leaders as honest, true patriotic Americans who are working only for the betterment of the country.  If you listen to them the Affordable Healthcare Act is worse then the bubonic plague; insurance rates will rise and jobs will be lost.  Personally, I think they are full of shit.  Yesterday I received my Benefits Annual Enrollment Guide.  Anxiously I ripped open the plastic sealers.  I needed to see how much my payroll deductions were going to be.  Would it be too much for my paycheck to bear?  Would I have to buy bargain basement dog food?  I prayed that they stay somewhere in the range of what I was already paying, just shy of $180 dollars a month.  But, of course, that was not to be.  To my gleeful surprise my monthly deductions was... falling... not like a rock, mind you, but enough to make a significant difference in my paycheck.  How much less will I be paying per month?  $39.00  As I did the calculations over and over again I could almost hear the rising tide of Tea Party voices wailing "This Can Not BE!"

Now I will be the first to admit that everybody else in the country is going to mirror me.  There are unscrupulous companies out there who don't give a damn about their associates.  I would not be surprised if there were several companies owned by Conservative Republicans which actually raise their employee rates.  You see, they don't care if they hurt their associates just as long as they get their point across.  They are going to make their political point no matter how much they have to gouge their employees.  Nothing is going to change them.

Boil in water for two minutes, then add milk and sugar to make palatable

So why all the clamor from the Tea Party about the Affordable Healthcare Act?  Well, for one thing, I've always suspected they really are nothing moer then bags with loud voices.  Secondly, this is legislation which was passed under President Obama and they hate him.  Thirdly, they are terrified that when all of the working class 'joes' who make up their core start seeing the benefits they might start saying "hey, this ain't too bad."  That would be terrible news for the Tea Party.  They might start losing elections.  I mean why would any sane person want to vote for a lying sack of shit.

Ted Cruz - maybe not the anti-Christ but pretty close

Everybody is talking about the government shut-down.  Wow.  Like the last time this happened was when the Republicans hated Bill Clinton seventeen years ago; now they hate Obama.  If I remember correctly they paid the piper a wee bit the last time they pulled this shenanigan, and, I suspect the same thing will happen again.  Like spoiled children they don't really learn lessons, they just stamp their foot harder and do what they want.  One can only wonder if they thought the American voting public would rush to their side, that those voters would suddenly have an epiphany: the Tea Party is heaven sent.  What a joke.  While the majority of the Tea Party members are having hands-free orgasms, the majority of everybody else is taking a step back and saying "woah, you people are just too extreme."  And, who is championing this ultra conservative fight?  Ted Cruz.
Let me calculate your idiocy

From what I've heard and read about pudding head Ted is that he has evocative dreams about someday becoming president of the United States.  If this is the case, then I suspect no one has ever told him that all presidents, be they Democrat or Republican, stay pretty close to the center.  This is the only way to get enough votes to be elected.  You don't become president by jumping into a hot tub party sponsored by the far right.  People don't like extremes in politics.  Pudding head Ted doesn't seem to understand this.  Maybe he thinks he's appealing to the Common Man, unfortunately he doesn't understand the Common Man.  I suspect this is because he feels he is so superior he can gauge everybody he meets on their level of stupidity.  That's what I sense when ever I see him or hear him or read what he's said.  It's like he has this dumb scale he uses to grade everybody:  the higher the percentage the greater the idiot.  I know the Tea Party pretty much thinks of him as a god, personally, I think he's verging on being the anti-Christ.  Depending on your beliefs he could be either or.
