Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Brain Salad Surgery

Our overnight temps stayed about freezing.  That's a good thing.  Today's high is predicted to be in the mid to upper 50s (F), and that also a good thing.  Spring is slowly beginning to spring upon us.  Tomorrow forecasters are saying we'll be hitting the low 70s (F) again, but, as often happens during the changing of the seasons, we're going to chill off again.

And, as should have been expected, yesterday was meh day, what with the tooth getting pulled.  That, in itself wasn't bad.  One thing I found interesting was that my dental assistant was a man whose name was Jesse.  That's a first for me.  Other than the dentist, he was the only other male I saw as he led me from the lobby.

There was an amusing moment in in the lobby while I waited to be escorted back to the extraction room.  The receptionist was on the phone attempting to order pizzas for lunch and there was an issue.  She wanted to place the order for pick-up, however she was going to pay cash rather than put the charge on a credit card.  The pizzeria evidently didn't want to take the order with out payment.  There was an easy solution, of course.

And the extraction went well.  More time was spent numbing me up than in pulling the tooth.  Truthfully, I was expecting it to take much longer, but then my previous extraction experience was with difficult teeth, 4 wisdom teeth and another molar that had cracked in half.  I was going to take a picture of the tooth lying on the tray, but thought that might be a little gross, so here's a pic of my panoramic x-ray.  In a way, I can see an odd connection between it and Emerson, Lake, and Palmer's Brain Salad Surgery album cover.

The X-ray

Brain Salad Surger

In the Orangie news of yesterday, his dementia was in full view as he told reporters we'd won the war and that Iran had sent him a present that was very big and worth a lot of money.  Even Main Stream media is wondering just what this big, bold, beautiful and very expensive present is.  No answer from Orangie's team.  Iran, on the other hand, called this bullshit.  They called Orangie a liar.  You know it's bad when most of the people in the world are taking Iran's word of that of the president of the United States.

And Democrats flipped two more seats Blue in Florida, of all places.  This should have Republicans shaking in their boots because the Dems didn't win because Republican voters stayed home.  Nope.  The Democrats won because Republican voters themselves voted Blue.  Orangie's own district went Blue.

On top of that, Orangie's approval rating has dropped to 36%.  I'm betting it's a lot lower.

What a combination, Romney and ME3

This has been a bad month on the job line for me, not because I'm losing mine, no, my schedule is all topsy-turvy thanks to meetings and classes and more meetings.  I can't wait for October to get here so things can quiet down... a little, and I can get back to a regular schedule.

On a whole I'd have to say this past week was on the funny side.  I got to watch some of the secret Mitt Romney tapes and, were I a critic, would have to call them boring and uninspired.  If you've seen any of them then you know, he rambles on and on and on totally avoiding anything substantial.  I saw where the dude who threw the fundraiser is blaming the "help."  How Republican.  My suspicion is that he, himself, taped the dinner for posterity only to discover Romney is the personification of droll.

Ann Romney's plane had to land because of smoke.  Later she whined about being a candidate's wife.  What did she think this was going to be?  A Sunday Social?

Paul Ryan got booed by Seniors and then, from one of the news clips I read, went on to lie about his percentage of body fat.

Boo, baby, Boo

Quite a number of Republicans are unhappy with the campaign, including Laura Ingram, and the want it shaken up.  I'm sure they must realize by now shaking is not going to help.  They did pay attention to their own primaries, didn't they?  Mitt basically won by default because the other candidates were just to crazily far to the right.

One of the really funny things was Ralph Reed telling Evangelicals they should vote for Romney.  Isn't that going against your faith?  Could this indicate Ralph wants a heretic in the White House?  Or, is it possible he's an White Supremacist in disguise?  Perhaps he doesn't understand that if Mitt gets elected Mormon Missionaries will swarm out of Salt Lake City like a plague of locusts.

And for all of you gamers out there, the real shocker was Bioware putting forth a statement which, and I paraphrase, states that the Mass Effect Universe is large and there are more stories to tell.  I said something similar back in... May?

Back then everybody was running around like their hair was on fire because they didn't like the ending of ME3.  Why is this funny?  Because you don't kill off your golden goose and everybody was sure Bioware had loped off its head.  I said that and nobody listened.  Now I read on Gamestop, or maybe it was Rock, Paper, Shotgun that the original team is either reassembling, or has reassembled.  Surprise.
