Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Halloween

The outside temp was 48 (F) this morning when I rolled out of bed.  That's not a bad low temp for this time of year.  Our high today is predicted to be 58 (F).  If the forecasters are correct, everyday for the next week our daily high will be 58 (F), and not one degree higher or lower.  I don't believe that.  I suspect someone in the forecasting office accidently hit the repeat button.

Even though Thursdays are supposed to be one of my rest days, I actually got a little upper body workout in, which was nice.  Words were written.  The dishes were washed.  I also had to work.  I pleased management.  I had a $6000+ install sell.  This means that this week I hit both my sales goal and my measure goal.  The only bad thing about that sale was that the customers showed up at 6:56 PM.  Drats from Hell.  My normal quitting time is 7 PM.  I knew they were coming in late, so I had their order ready to go and... as I should have expected the credit card pin pad stopped working.  I walked the customers up to the Service Desk and (double drats from Hell) the big $$ discount they were supposed to get disappeared.  Mierda!  As a result, I punched out at 7:33 PM.  Sure, I got some extra time, but I like to leave on schedule.

Things are planned for today, including a bike ride.  Here lately, most of my rides have been almost an hour long.  This afternoon I'll see about doing the extra minutes.  I also want to bake a loaf of bread.  And the broken HP laser jet printer is going to get the old heave ho.  I have the Xerox laser printer which works quite well and there's no need for a second printer taking up space.  A few other things are going to end up in the trash as well, including an old Sony sound bar that hasn't worked in years.

And today is Halloween!  It's also Trick or Treat night, and, as is my usual practice, I will make sure that my porch light is turned off to keep any Ghoulaneskis and Goblineros  from knock, knock, knocking at my door.

So, the Orange Anus skipped the very important APEC summit because...?  His handlers were worried that he had already maxed out his energy levels?  Or that his rambling dementia might once again?  For whatever reason, his early departure allowed China's Xi to take command of the summit.  For a hot second I thought he might have handed the reins over to Xi in exchange for those shitty frameworks of deals Orangie was so desperate to brag about.

One of the good things I see happening is that in spite of all of the sane washing Main Stream Media is giving Orangie, his poll numbers are still in decline.  This is great news because it means that more and more Americans are paying less and less attention to MSM is saying.  Because they depend upon ad revenue, one of the worst things that can ever happen to their Market Share is to just have people ignore them.  Not that there aren't those bumble brains who will continue to watch CNN and CBS.  Most of them are old, and have watched these networks their entire lives.  Sadly for advertisers, that age group does not go out and buy, buy, buy, perhaps that's why pharmaceutical advertising has been increasing.

The Outer Worlds 2

We have warm temps outside.  Currently our thermometer is sitting at around 48 (F).  We also have rain.  It's been raining all night.  Forecasters had been calling for an inch of more of rain and I do think they were right.  Looking at the weather map of Central PA, there is still a lot of green swirling around overhead.  Temps are expected to drop much for the next few days.  That's nice.

So yesterday was busy, considering it was a Wednesday and here of late Wednesdays have been rather meh.  I spent most of the morning working on my gaming PC, the one IT fixed.  Well, they fixed it alright.  They have a very conservative idea of just what malware is that's not even close to what I worry about.  Here's an example: Google Play Store.  They consider this malware because you might download an app which might affect your computer.  Well, hell.  They deleted so many things I consider normal, and so I spent a good hour and a half changing the rules in my Panda Security to get things back to normal.  Will they get a renewal in a year? Nope.

My workout yesterday went well.  After my birthday we're going to change up some of the exercises and increase the weight I use in others.  Damn, I may actually have to go out and buy some heavier dumbbells.

And last night I spent some time playing Outer Worlds 2.  It's a new RPG from Oblivion.  I like it.  I am dying a lot, but that's normal in the beginning of a game.  Of course, even though I had to buy the game, it has an anti-capitalism message.  There's also sarcastic humor, as well as the old, reliable dumb humor.  I have no problem laughing as I'm killing aliens.  This is an age restricted video (blood and gore) so you will need to click on the link to go to YouTube to watch it.

The Orange Anus is in South Korea serving up Tacos to anyone who wants one, and in return he's getting nothing.  Well, that's not quite correct.  The Prime Minister of South Korea did give him a toy crown.  The idiot could hardly take his eyes off of it.  World Leaders know how Orangie is so starstruck whenever he's in their presence, especially if they happen to be dictators, then he practically drools.

He just had a meeting with Xi and only dropped 10% off their tariffs.  It would have been more but they didn't give him a crown, just another framework for a trade deal.  If you see any of the clips, you'll notice that while Orangie is grinning like a drunken baboon, all Xi does is smugly give him a rather condescending smile.  Xi knows an idiot when he sees one.

Finally, there were lots of layoffs yesterday because billionaires are only in it for themselves.  They simply don't care.  They never will.  They are a plague on all of our houses.

Glimmers of Truth

Here in Central PA, our overnight lows did not drop below 40 (F), in fact when I check the temps this morning I found myself looking at 44 (F).  This is a nice savings on my heat expense.  Tomorrow, however, our weather forecasters are calling for up to an inch of rain.  That'll bring the temps down, as well as the leaves on the trees.  We're heading towards the middle of Autumn, so it's about time for them suckers to fall.

Yesterday was somewhat busy, somewhat hectic, and somewhat expensive.  A lot of chores were done, mostly because I stayed around the house.  I didn't go anywhere because I had a tech working on my upstairs computer, something happened to my VPN.  Damn.  I was getting a lot of errors letting me know that websites were failing to respond, or there was no signal.  Threads was one of them, and I do like to Thread on occasion.  Some of the time I watched, since everything they did (at one point there were 3 of them) showed up on my monitor.  Part of the problem was an old Kaspersky Anti-Virus app that I'd used for a short while.  Even though I'd uninstalled it, there were bits and broken files still floating around.  There were other things as well. Several corrupted Amazon Music files.  No malware, though.  Well, now it's clean as a whistle.  I signed up for a year of maintenance; that I will cancel rather than renew.

I did get a 50+ minute bike ride in.  This one was in Saskatchewan.  I didn't like it.  There were too many miles before I got to the first hill, and even though I'm not wild about hills, they are good for my legs and my cardio.  This does, I suppose, mean that I'm going to become a climber.

Things are going to get done today as well.  I've started using my alarm again.  I was in the habit of getting up early and somehow that habit got set aside.  Now I'm working to get make once again part of my routine.

And even though we all know you should never rely on polls because most of them are inaccurate, when Orangie's go low they're more accurate than when they go high.

What makes negative polling so significant is the fact that so much of Main Stream Media is busy sane-washing the Orange Anus.  Just think about it.  The idiot does Weeble Walk in Japan and MSM says nary a word while social media erupts.  He admits to basically struggling through a dementia test and major news providers gloss over that fact.  It is both Liberal and Social media where we see his failures highlighted.  That, in itself, is having a bearing on these negative polls.  The sources from where we get our news are changing  While the majority of MAGA cultists will never leave Fox Entertainment, some of them are now looking to Threads and Bluesky for information, and while it's true many of them are there to denigrate, by doing so they can't help but catch glimmers of the truth.  These glimmers are beginning to be reflected in the negativity many Americans are now feeling.  Lies can only go so far before the high cost of food smashes them to pieces.

Anterior Shooter

Good morning world!  My local temp was 38 (F) this morning; being above freezing is better than below.  As I'd said a few days back, temps are going to be rather steady for the next few days... weeks, possible.  We are in what might be called an Autumnal Holding Pattern.  Cool, but not cold nights with daily temps climbing up into the mid to upper 50s (F).  I can live with this.

I worked yesterday.  To my surprise, another one of my measures sold making me the number one Sales Specialist in the department.  Not bad for a part-timer.  One of our full time specialists is going out for minor surgery in a few weeks, after that he'll come back for a few weeks and then retire.  He and I talked about it for a bit.  When he comes to work, he works, not that I don't do that too, but I'm more sociable. I have chitty chats with customers, as well as employees.  He focuses on the minutiae of an install and ends up creating problems.  Where I can sell an install in 5 minutes, it often takes him 45 minutes.  He said he's thinking about volunteering possibly with the community theater as an usher, and I thought, hhhmm, that's nice.  It didn't sound as if he had any real type of plan.  When you retire, you end up with a lot of free time and unless you have specific goals set out, you will end up sitting around waiting to die.

Today's going to be one where a lot gets done.  I know this because my second load of laundry has just finished up in the washer and is waiting to be hung out to dry.  And there is a lot to be done.

I do have a Facebook account, mostly to keep in touch with my Navy buddies and some friend; I don't have the patience to sit and scroll my way to Hell.  This morning they showed me a memory from 10 years ago: a pic I took of my spinal CAT scan.  If you click on it and blow it up you can see that L4 and L5 had already fused.  L3 and L4 had already shot out the disk jelly and were in the processing of fusing.  And the disk between L2 and L3 was in the process of getting rid of its disk jelly.  Whereas most people with disk problems shoot their disk jelly out the back.  Not me.  I'm an anterior shooter, meaning I shoot from the front.

Of course there are many videos of Dementia Don in Japan doing what he does best: dementiating.  If you're on social media, you got to seem him wandering away from the Japanese Prime Minister.   You got to see him pausing and staring straight ahead until she gave his lower arm a little pull to get him moving again.  And, of course he gave one of his dementiated speeches to a group of soldiers stationed in Japan.  Stephen Miller is running the government.  I'm thinking the GOP is in deep shit.  Almost every Congressman and Senator gave him their unwavering support because they believed he was going to our first king.  I'm also thinking many of them are now beginning to understand that they screwed the pooch because it's too late for them to have a change of mind.  And all the while prices continue to rise and jobs disappear.  Now is when they should be anterior shooters, and they're finding out they can't even shoot from the rear.

Donuts!

We broke past the freezing barrier!  Or at least, if not through, that rubbed ourselves up and down its ice encrusted sides.  Yepper!  We dropped down to 32 (F) over night.  I knew it was cold because I could hear furnace fan purring away deep down in the basement.  Our temps are expected to climb 27 (F) degrees this afternoon.  Tonight, our temps are not predicted to get that cold.

I did work yesterday.  The flooring department was very slow.  This doesn't mean we didn't talk to customers, we did, but none of them were biting.  On a whole, both the store and the department made plan last week.  I made both my measure and sales goals.  Management is happy.  I did, however, not sit at the Lead Generation Table, even though I'd been scheduled for an hour.  My supervisor is in charge, and she comes up with games we're supposed to entice customers to play, all the time trying to get them to sign up for a window installation lead, or a door installation lead.  This week it's a ring toss game.  Well, I walked in and saw the cones and the rings and quietly said to myself, "toss this."

On November 7 I'll be down in Lebanon getting my Covid vaccine.  I grew in Lebanon.  There's a woman named Alicia who I went to school with, who I chat with occasionally who still lives there.  This morning I sent her an invite for coffee after I get my inoculation.  She was in my graduating class.  If she accepts, this will be the first time I've seen anyone from the class of 1970 since I left for the Navy in 1971.

Towards the end of my shift yesterday I was heading down to the Service Desk to pickup returns, when Cori from paint asked me if I wanted a donut.  There were 2 left, and while she almost always takes the one with maple icing, she decided to opt for the glazed donut instead.  Of course, there was no way I could ever turn down a donut.  The only thing bad about this pic is that it's difficult to see how much weight I've lost in my bulky orange apron.

So, the Orange Anus burbled something out yesterday about having an MRI when he went to the hospital for his 2nd annual physical a few weeks back.  MRI, eh?  I've had an MRI done on my lungs for years because at one point in time, a long, long time ago, I used to be a smoker.  The MRIs were done to see if any nasty nodes had developed.  Enough time has passed so they're no longer necessary.  I don't think Orangie was ever a smoker, however, MRIs are also used for examining joints, and to check on tumors to see if they're growing, and to check out stroke damage.  Orangie isn't saying what his MRI was for, but with the way the left side of his face has been sagging, I'm suspecting they were looking for stroke damage.

He also mentioned something about running for a third term.  Neither he, nor the MAGA Cultists understand how quickly the American people would stomp the shit of them if they tried such a thing.  No one ever said they were smart.

Retail

Good Morning from nearly freezing Central PA.  When I awoke way past the crack of dawn, our outside temp was 33 (F).  When we're that close to freezing, I'm going to say we're cold.  Cold is good... sometimes.  The summery insects that have survived into the fall are now deceased.  This is a good thing when they bite.

And yesterday was okay.  I worked, and that always puts me under constraints of having to actually do things in order to earn my pay.  I did get a measure.  That makes 3 carpet measures for the week.  That should keep management happy.  I've also had enough sales to get within $250 of my goal.  That will keep them happy too. I get to work again today, but we're in football season.  Games this afternoon will keep people either at home in front of their TVs or in the bars cheering on their favorite teams.  Here in Central PA we're within driving distance of the Philly Eagles and the Baltimore Ravens, and if you want to take the jaunt, the Pittsburgh Steelers are only 3 hours away.

This is also a rest day for me.  No workout.  That's fine.

Also this is going to be a short entry since, I did sleep a bit later than usual and I'll have to leave shortly to head out to work. Sunday is my only full shift of the week, every other day I only work for 5 hours.  So instead of starting in the afternoon, I start in the morning.  On the bright side, because I start early, I also leave early.  That's a good thing.

Orangie's in Malaysia.  Of course he's there to grift.  Oh, his administration may say he's there for something else, but you can bet he's going to grift.  That's all he lives for.  I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't try to steal that double phallic treat, the Petronas Towers. Or at least try and buy them so he can put his name on them.

The Blowout

We had another 39 (F) morning.  We seem to be locked into temps in which are daily highs are in the upper 50s (F) and nightly lows are down in the upper 30s (F).  This pattern seems to be holding tight, even when rain is predicted.  Finally, the leaves on the trees are beginning to turn colors.

And yesterday wasn't a bad day.  I drove down to Lebanon to get my flu shot.  The covid vaccine is scheduled for the day before my birthday.  I could have sat and waited, but chose not to.  I don't mind the drive.  I think.  Believe me when I tell you I like to think, probably because I know so many who simply don't.

My stiff back started disappearing around noon and was totally gone by the time I took my ride in Sotra, Norway.  So far I've ridden 21.54 miles this week with a ride in Canada and one in Norway.  Both have hills higher than I've been tackling before.  This is a good thing for my legs.  I'm moving out of my comfort zone of long, flat, easy rides.  This is a good thing.

And the Toronto Blue Jays womped the hell out of the Los Angeles Dodgers last night.  Not only did they beat the American team, they had the audacity to mock the Orange Anus by playing that commercial with Ronnie Reagan shitting on tariffs.

And you know how much the Orange Asshole hates losers.  I'm surprised he hasn't sent ICE out to take any of the Latino players into custody until they prove they're really Americans.  Isn't it amazing how sometimes losing can seem so right?  So, can anybody tell me if we're going to be having Tacos for lunch?

He's also decided to send an air craft carrier into the Caribbean.  Usually America uses a show of force against countries that might be considered serious threats, like China.  We do all sorts of things to piss them off.  But Venezuela.  Give me a break.  Or better yet, give Petey Hegseth a break, arm or leg, it doesn't really matter.  Rumors are that Petey will be out by the end of the year.  If that happens, do no expect him to be replaced with someone who is better qualified.  Qualifications are not a requirement.

Oh, Canada!

We're chilly this morning.  According to Accuweather, our outside temp was 39 (F) when I rolled out of bed.  We might hit 55 (F) today.  That's fine.  I don't mind Autumn.  In fact, I enjoy all of our 4 seasons.  Let's be honest, who doesn't mind snuggling under warm blankets in the dead of winter, maybe it's because so many of us enjoy that wombish feeling.  And summer, it's just as nice to strip off those blankets because in our hearts we all really enjoy... stripping?

My back is a little stiff this morning, so I must have turned the wrong way in my sleep.  Being someone who's had to deal with some serious back issues, I am well versed in what needs to be done.  Besides my morning meds of Lisinopril, Atorvastatin, and Omeprazole ('ve a tiny hiatal hernia), I took two Naproxen.  Most backaches are caused by inflammation.  For me, 2 things work:  Naproxen and walking.  I'm driving down to the Lebanon VA to get my annual flu shot and Covid vaccine.  That place is big, so I'll be getting a lot walking in.  This afternoon, I'll be getting another bike ride in, maybe I'll be somewhere in Spain.

I did work yesterday.  It was so slow.  Our Halloween decorations are almost sold out.  Here's a hint for those of you who like outdoor Halloween decorations:  wait until the reduced tags make an appearance.  Right now our decorations are all 50% off.  Oh, and in case you're wondering, we're still making a profit on those markdowns.

And the Orange Anus is lava angry with Canada because they ran an anti-tariff ad quoting the Republican Demi God Ronald Reagan.

Holy Crap!  Thank you Ontario for setting fire to his Depends.  For those who haven't heard Reagan's message calling for Free Trade, he talks about how tariffs lead to retaliation, and how retaliation leads to terrible economic woes.  So, what does the Orange pedophile in what's left of the White House do?  He retaliates.  You can bet Ontario expected this.  You see the world is so over Orangie.  By now, most countries know how to play him, and play him they do.  They are moving past the United States and finding other more reliable trading partners.  In a world economy, isolationism is not a good thing.  Because of corporate greed, most manufacturing jobs have moved over seas.  Those jobs are not going to come back unless a majority of Americans decided to take a very large pay cut.  Believe me, the American people will stomp the shit out of the conservative movement before that happens.

Me First

Our temps are in the mid 40s (F) and we're not supposed to make it out of the 50s (F).  The next thing on our seasonal agenda is our first frost.  After that we can have an Indian Summer when for a few days temps will cruise around in the low to mid 70s (F), and some people will turn on their air conditioning.  If this year is like the past few, for a week or so in mid December our temps will drop shockingly low and then rebound, at least up here in Central Pa.

And yesterday, being Wednesday, was once again a meh kind of day.  I did get my workout in with a few adjustments.  I'm now using 20 lb. dumbbells for my presses and my rows.  This is a move in the right direction.  If my strength continues to increase, I'll have to go out and buy bigger dumbbells.

I also got 2 loads of laundry done yesterday as well as a few other chores, so I'm thinking the day was not as meh as I thought.

I do get to go in to work this afternoon.  It will be interesting to see how the store is doing.  Last week we missed plan.  I suspect that will happen again this week.  I have a customer I have to call.  He wanted an estimate during our initial conversation, however our software was acting up so I gave him a very rough estimate on the square footage he gave me.  Well, that footage was off a bit and there other things needed for the installation than I knew about, so his quote is about $1300 higher than the estimate I gave him.  I doubt if they'll go through with the job.  That's too much of an increase.

Howie brought a stick into the house.  This happens several times a day.  He seems to think that he needs to trade a stick for a treat every time he comes in from outside.  So, for the time being, he seems to have replaced the stones and rocks with sticks.

One of the big problems with America is that there is this voting bloc that doesn't really care what the Orange Anus does until they, themselves feel the pain.  These are the FAFO people.  I know several of these people, and and most of them are Republicans.  This is a very big problem because by the time their own tiny lives are affected, so many millions of others will have suffered.  I actually had someone tell me they don't care what Orangie's doing, it doesn't affect them.  I honestly don't know where this lack of compassion came from.  I know a big part of it is the fact that these people have prioritized selfishness.  Their creed is, "what's in it for me?"  These people need to stay away from the ballot box because they always vote party line; they've been voting Republican since the first ballot they cast.  And if you think these people wil suddenly change and become more compassionate you can forget it.  That would mean they'd never be able to say "me first," ever again.

Merli

The outside time was 40 (F)  when I got up this morning.  Supposedly we're going to warm up into the low 70s (F) today.  That may happen.  They're calling for possible showers this evening, and then the cold front finally arrives.  While none of our predicted cold temps are down in the 30s (F), if things play out the way they're predicting, night time lows in the 40s (F) will now be standard.  So, a month after its official start, Autumn has finally arrived.

I worked yesterday.  Mondays are usually fairly busy because most of our contractors come in and make their purchases for the week.  This means most departments hit their Monday forecast.  Flooring was no exception.  I got 2 measures, one for carpet and one for vinyl planks.  The customer having the vinyl planks installed said she was hoping the install would be completed by Thanksgiving.  It will probably be done by then, but I did caution her to no rule out the possibility of delays.

Today's going to be laundry day and bread day.  Oh, and a bike ride is scheduled for this afternoon.  While I was at work yesterday, cousin stopped in.  He's four years younger than me, but looks 4 years older.  He was surprised when I told him how much I work out.  This is why I can pass for someone younger.  To be honest, I do enjoy the reactions I get from people when I tell them how old I am.

I've been watching Merli Sapere Aude on Netflix, with English subtitles, of course.  Even though it's 4 years old, it's still quite timely.  Interestingly enough, I can still understand some of what they're saying and that after over half a century since my last Spanish class.  Perhaps it's time for a refresher.

And a day doesn't seem to pass without a new atrocity from Orangie's administration.  It is constant, and seems to be never ending.  And each day I'm surprised at just how far out of touch with the American people these desperate conservatives are; they are delusional.  Take the partial destruction of the East Wing of the White House so Orangie can build a ballroom/convention center.  The only ones who want this addition to the White House is the party of selfishness and greed, they are also the only ones happy to see the destruction of American History in order to make a buck, and it really is all about the bucks.  Honestly, the party in power does not understand that they are the Titanic sailing in iceberg filled waters, and instead of having lookouts on the mast, they're all down in the lobby playing Duck, Duck, Goose.

Climbing the Little Boy Staircase

Well, we still have the drizzles outside.  The temps are also cool.  Currently we're sitting at 52 (F), with an expected high of 65 (F).  That's iffy unless the cloud cover goes away.  We had rain on and off throughout the night.  That's fine.  We needed it.  The big surprise will be if the temps climb up into the low 70s (F) tomorrow, before dropping off.  I'm skeptical.

I did work yesterday.  The store was somewhat busy.  Flooring made plan, mostly because I sold a very large install, not my measure, of course, so even though I had to make changes, I get no credit.  This wasn't the case until they updated the software a few years back. There was a time when making changes to a quote earned you some of the credit.  Not anymore.  This means that an associate can spend 5 minutes with a customer processing the measure and another associate can spend an hour and a half with that same customer with out getting any of the sales recognition.  None of us are happy about this.

Otherwise the day was very slow.  Most of my time was spent getting in laps and checking out social media on my phone.  Oh, and eating that crappy pizza management bought from Wegman's Grocery.  Had we been busier, I'd have spent less time grazing.

I made a shrimp stir-fry the other night.  It was very tasty.

Isn't it fascinating how things, like numbers, can change as minutes and hours slip into the past.  Updates happen.  The occurred when the government used to release the monthly jobs report.  Sometimes there were revisions down, especially during this administration, and occasionally they'd be adjusted up, as under Biden's presidency.  Well, that same thing is happening with the No Kings day stats.  Original numbers were around 7 million, then they edged up to 7.5 million, and now 2 days after the peaceful demonstrations, they're saying the actual numbers are probably over 8 million, maybe even as high as 8.5 million.  You can bet that number's sticking in a lot of Republican craws.  While his approval rating continues in a slow, death spiral, more and more Americans are simply getting fed up with all of his lies.

I don't know how many people heard, but supposedly Orangie's Secret Service supposedly discovered a hunting stand near the Palm Beach Airport.  As a result, Orangie used the "small staircase" when it came time to get into Air Force 1.  My take is that's PR nonsense.  I'm betting his 79 year-old legs, cankles and all, simply have problems going up the big boy staircase.  This excuse takes that long climb out of his agenda.  The question remains to be seen if this is the excuse he'll use at every airport.

Tip of the Iceberg

Our outside temp was 52 (F) this morning.  Not cold, but chilly.  Weather forecasters are telling us that the temps should actually climb into the mid 70s (F) before the temps go downhill.  Gusty winds, storms and thunderstorms are supposed to be on their way into the area.  By mid-week, our daily highs are predicted to be in the upper 50s (F).  Looking out my window, I can tell you that the leaves on the trees surrounding my house are still green.

While so many were out peacefully demonstrating at the No Kings rallies, I was getting paid to sit at the flooring desk.  My request off had been denied because too many others had requested off, not necessarily to go to the rallies; a lot of people don't like to work on weekends.  This includes associates in my department who desperately want to work a 5 day work week that doesn't include either a Saturday or a Sunday.  So, while so many others were out defending democracy, I was sitting by my lonesome scrolling through Threads.

Harrisburg had a goodly sized gathering with the estimated size at 3750.

With nearly 7 million peaceful demonstrators, this was by far the largest demonstrations in American history.  I find it fascinating that so far, the only reports of arrests being made, have ben of MAGA cultists pulling guns and aiming them at the demonstrators.  They don't even understand how this defines their idiocy.

And the crowning stupidity yesterday was Orangie releasing an AI video in which he, wearing a crown, flies a plane over American cities dropping  shit on the demonstrators below.  His juvenile attempt at mockery fails so badly, though I'm sure some of his brain dead followers found it terribly funny.  They don't seem to understand that they are a shrinking minority.    They had no clue that we are the tip of the iceberg.

The World is Watching

Good morning world. Outside temps are in the low 50s (F) with a projected high to be in the low 70s (F) with full on sunshine.  Today's going to be a perfect day for a peaceful rally here in Central PA.  The weather will change towards the end of the weekend.  Some forecasts are predicting an inch of rain on Monday.  We need the rain.

Yesterday was a good day when it came to getting things done.  The 2 aquariums were cleaned and I painted more of wainscoting in the bathroom.  I will be finished with that soon.  After that I will move on to bedroom doors and freshen them up.  A few years back, when I was running the paint department, one of associates was from India.  He and I got to talking about, of all things, painting, and I was surprised when he told me that in his culture people rarely repainted rooms.  He told me that if there's a hole, or scratch, or scrap, they will simply patch it and just touch the area up, and I thought their walls must be spotty as hell since time changes everything.

Trainwell is making changes to their app.  Now you'll be able to move your workouts around, change the times, or only do certain exercises.  This is all starting Monday.  I'm wondering, hoping they're not moving to some sort of AI format.  That would probably not be good for the people they hire to be trainers.

My sister told me that my brother in law came home from work on Wednesday and told her he'd retired.  This was rather abrupt.  Originally, he was supposed to work until December, and then go part-time for a while.  He managed dry wall installations, and she'd also told me there wasn't a lot of work and that he'd said "people were just standing around."  That's a wasted payroll expense.  I don't doubt that America's sinking economy is to blame.

And, of course, today is the 2nd No Kings Day.

The world is watching.  A bold statement is being sent the the Conservatives in power, one they simply cannot believe:  No one wants an authoritarian government in America.  I've said this before, these people are delusional.  They truly believe that all they need to do is shout out "shut up, we're in charge," and Americans will simply accept this as true.  These people are idiots.  Not only are they idiots, they are a minority group.  Their small numbers need to be taught a painful lesson.  No matter how badly they want to dictate how we live our lives, they are not in charge.  By voting, Americans hire them for a period of time.  This means they can also be fired.  Because they are incapable of reading the room, the firings are going to commence.

Wanna See My Sword

Golly, it's a little chilly outside with temps in the mid 40s (F).  The forecasters are saying that over the next to days we might have a bit of a super mini heat wave with our daily highs climbing up into the low 70s (F).  However, there's also rain in the forecast.  After the upcoming warm spell, daily highs are predicted to be in the upper 50s (F).  It's almost time to pull out the wool blankets.

Yesterday was a rest day, not workout, not bike ride.  Today I have a bike ride, all I have to do is decide where in the world it's going to be.  One place I plan to avoid is South Korea.  Their rides are a lot like the rides in Kansas: boring.

I also worked yesterday.  I sold 2 quotes, neither of which was mine.  Flooring made plan in a big way, the store might have, but if it did, it didn't change the fact that it was underwater for the week.  Will it change?  I doubt it.

So, Boots got some free publicity when someone from the Department of Defense called Entertainment Weekly to complain about the show, saying it was "woke garbage."  Petey Hegseth has evidently never heard of the Spartans, though for some weird reason it's rather easy for me to picture him running around a drunken frat party wearing only a teeny, tiny toga, and shouting "wanna see my sword!"

And the Toy of the Year award goes to the Pupsicle.  Howie simply loves it!  And I've figure out how I can throw it without it sounding like a brick is hitting the floor.

And tomorrow, all across the country, there are going to be No Kings rallies.  They are going to be huge.  So huge, in fact, that the GOP is pulling out all of the stops in the organ of hate.  They are putting every group they hate under that umbrella including Black Lives Matter, Pro Palestine, Pro Hamas, Marxist, Fascist, and that one group that doesn't exist, Antifa, together.  They realize that the numbers are going to be that high, that there are so many anti-Trumpers in this country they might actually run out of classifying categories.  Orangie's people are scared.  You see, they truly believed that all they had to do was say "shut up, we're in charge," and America would cowl before them.  Wrong.  They are rattled!  They're terrified that America is going to grab that rattle and shake the Hell out of it.

Trixie Says

Our temp dropped below 50 last night.  This is going to be a regular occurrence until we get to spring.  This also means that my furnace will be heating my home, burning natural gas and costing me money.  That is the worst part of colder temps, the need to heat.  It's an expense those of us living in a moderate climate have to deal with, unless this winter is mild.

No workout today.  It's a rest day.  I get 2 a week.  Right now they happen on Thursday and Sunday.  They will change as my schedule changes.  I don't doubt that my hours will get dropped back down, it's only a matter of time.

And yesterday was another meh day.  In order to remedy this situation I'm going to try planning things to do outside of the house.  Next Wednesday I'm going to drive down to the VA Hospital in Lebanon and get my free flu shot.  I will email them to see if I can get a Covid booster while I'm down there.

Yesterday Six commented that Boots had moved into the number 3 spot on Netflix.  I checked last night and saw that it had edged its way into the number 2 spot.  I've been following Max Parker on Instagram for a few years now.  He usually posts once a week.  There were a lot of pics when he and his husband were married, now mostly they're of the family dog.  That was until Boots came out. Now he's posting all sorts of behind the scenes pics and videos.  Yesterday he posted this.

And as should be expected, there's still a lot of fallout about those young Republicans posting their comments praising Hitler, a mocking minorities.  All you're hearing from Republicans are crickets.  They don't want to talk about this because it makes them look bad.  They are ignoring the fact that the best thing they could do for their party is to call these people out and prove to the American people that they have moved so far to the right that they are beyond redemption.  They will not.  That might cost them votes.  They are a party that is so desperate to stay in power they will accept even the most abhorrent of behaviors except for one.  This is why they will not release the Epstein Files.

The Stunning Indictment

Good morning world.  I did it again, slept in until 0700.  For someone who's been a morning person all of his life, this is so unusual, and it's not like I'm staying up until all hours of the night.  Every night I'm in bed by 10:30 PM.  Perhaps it's the workouts and and bike rides.

Anyway, when I got up this morning our outside temp was 54 (F).  Today's high will be on the cool side.  Temps are only expected to climb up into the mid 60s (F).  I have my heat set at 69 (F), and when it does come on, it's only for a few minutes, if that.  This is fine with me, since I've shifted to sweatshirts and sweatpants.  The time for shorts and T-shirts has ended, at least for the next 6 months or so.

I got a nice bike ride in yesterday, over 11 miles on Orust Island, Sweden.  One thing I've noticed after doing workouts and rides 5 days a week for almost a month is that I can feel individual muscles when I move them.  It's not painful.  There's no discomfort.  Yet when I stretch my leg, or arm, I can feel my quad, or my bicep, stretching.  I guess this means I'm becoming in tune with my body.  And where I used to, on average, get around 5 hours of sleep every night, now I'm getting almost 8 hours.  Even more interesting, I'm not taking naps in the afternoon.  I find this fascinating.

And The Guardian published their review of Boots, saying it was a sleeper hit that's a stunning indictment of military homophobia.  Their biggest complaint is that the humor takes away from the intense drama, and it does get quite dramatic for those of you who have only watched the first few episodes.  They think a 2nd season is guaranteed, though hope there will be less humor and more drama.  I like the humor.  I call it comic relief.  Here's an interesting bit.  One of my protagonists is a character named Max Sullivan who is a ginger with a goateed.  In Boots, the character of Sergeant Sullivan is played by Max Parker, so you have Max Sullivan, a ginger sans goatee.

I made a cheesy leek and mushroom quiche for dinner.  It was quite tasty.

And, of course, so many people are talking about the Young Republican conversations on Telegram that were leaked to Politico.  These comments are not too surprising since this is the crowd Orangie has been courting since his first win.  His problem is that they are a minority group and don't even come close to representing the face of America.  One of these young Republicans is a state senator from Vermont, and the Republican party in Vermont is telling him to resign his position.  You see, even some Republicans know where to draw the line, not all, though.   As long as there are hard line conservatives, like Russ Vought, this problem will continue.  These people will never learn.  That sort of education would shatter their egos.  They will accept banishment rather than admit they are wrong.

Just Call Me Tactless

Well, we have 54 (F) outside and partial sunshine.  Our high today is supposed to make it up to 70 (F).  If it does, at least according to the weather forecasters, this will be the warmest temps will get for quite some time.  Yes, autumn is in the air.  We had a lot of rain yesterday, not buckets, but constant drizzles and showers, enough to pond the parking lot of the orange retailer I work for.  Today, those showers are gone.

My first load of laundry for the day is in the washer.  Shirts.  They drying rack is fine for some articles of clothing, but certain things, like shirts and pants, need to go through the dryer otherwise you will need to iron them.  When I was young, everything needed to be ironed.  Clothes would go from the clothesline to the ironing board.  And since damp clothing irons better than dry clothing, you would need to sprinkle water on whatever it was you were ironing in order to iron out all of the wrinkles.  Am I like the only person who sees redundancy in this?  Now imagine doing this for a family of four or five.  Damn!

And I did work yesterday.  And even though the store was slow, the flooring department was hopping, at least until I punched in, then everything came to a standstill.  I did cover the paint department while the associate went to dinner, where I had an interesting experience with a tall, young man.  As I gave him his paint, he said he like to give me something.  Reaching into his back pocket he pulled out a small Jesus card.  I glanced at it and handed it back to him, saying, "you can keep it, I don't believe that shit."  He got red in the face and muttered, "you better, it's going to happen," just loud enough for me to hear him as he walked away.  I have friends who are very religious, my friend Jon, the Physical Therapist, for example, and I respect their belies and they respect mine.  I've talked to a number of people about this and it seems that everyone of them has reached the tipping point.  Whereas before they would accept the cards, now they hand them back saying, "no thanks."  I did the same thing, but with a little less tact.

For those who don't know, this is what Gaza looks like.

Yesterday Orangie and Nasty Netty, with the Hamas, officiated Biden's Peace Plan to stop the fighting in Gaza.  Why wasn't Biden's plan signed earlier?  Because Orangie and Nasty Netty put their two vile heads together at Mar a Lago after the election and decided to put it on hold, hoping to use it to their advantage at a later date.  That date happened yesterday.  However, one point missing in the plan is the fact that there is not one sentence stating that the Israelis are going to stop the shooting, and the bombing.  It's a starting agreement which has a few flaws.  You can bet that Nasty Netty is going to take advantage of everyone of those flaws.  You see, Nasty was on trial for corruption until Hamas attacked on October 7, then his trial was put on hold.  Peace would restart Nasty's trial, so one thing you can bet on is that this Peace Plan will fall apart before that happens.

the Pupsicle

This 54 (F) temp this morning is again a bit warm for October.  The Nor'easter we were warned about stayed mostly to the east of us.  We did get some rain, but nothing like they along the eastern seaboard where they got inches in a few hours.  Today's temp is supposed to climb up into the low 70s (F), but then it drops back down into the mid 60s (F) for the rest of the week.  We are, I supposed, officially in Autumn.

I did work yesterday and sold a lot of flooring, and got both a lead and a measure.  I also had my monthly review.  When I was told I did hit my goals I simply said, "you can't get blood out of a rock."  I could care less if she was unamused, which she was.  We also had, at 2 different times, Great Danes visit the department, they are such nice dogs!  We also had a knucklehead walk through with a pistol holstered to his belt; he evidently needed to brag about having a license to open carry.  People like him will never realize carrying a gun in public says more about his shortcomings than anything else.

I watched the last episodes of Boots last night, what a great show.  David Sedaris calls it Full Metal Jacket with humor and I have to agree, except unlike Full Metal Jacket there is no bloody suicide.  It does present an outstanding picture of the fears gay military personnel had over being court martialed and dishonorably discharged, something that ruined many LGBTQ lives.  The show is getting raves on Social Media and has reached #3 on Netflix's most watched list.  It ended with a number of cliffhangers, including George H. Bush announcing that military personnel are being sent to the Middle East for what will become Desert Storm.  Will there be a season 2?  Sony Pictures seems to think so.

Howie got a new toy: a pupsicle.  He wants me to throw it, however it's solid rubber and weighs about 2 pounds, and doesn't bounce.

Of course many, many people were talking about George Stephanopoulos shutting down Just Dancin' Vance yesterday.   He was not happy.  Does anybody care?  He was never really a good bullshit artist, they have to have at least a modicum of charisma.  Just Dancin's just too... pompous.  He reeks of snot nosed superiority.

And Orangie is in Israel.  People are posting clips of him sitting there, looking like he's about to nod off.  Evidently he didn't get any sleep on the flight over.  He's supposed to give a speech.  I wonder how much of it will be about him, since he's his own favorite person in the world.

Conservative Ineptitude

We had a rather warm night.  The outside temp is a very mild 57 (F).  That doesn't mean our afternoon temps are going to climb into the upper 70s (F).  Nope.  They're going to be stuck in the 60s (F).  There is a Nor'easter plodding up the eastern seaboard which will keep the temps mild.  Rain showers will continue throughout the day and into to tomorrow.  Predictions are for a total accumulation of about an inch of rain.  We need it.

I did my morning workout yesterday.  It was fine.  This may surprise some of you, but I'm on a 25 day stretch.  This is a good thing.  I think one of the reasons these sessions work is because the routines are varied, also, the fact that they were designed by someone who knows what he's doing, rather than me sitting at my computer picking and choosing exercises I think will be beneficial.  Even the sequence has turned out to be good.   I used to do 3 sets of one exercise and then move onto the next.  Now I complete the entire routine, and then repeat it two more times.  There are even yoga poses in the after workout stretching.

I did work yesterday and it was slow.  I talked to one customer about ordering blinds and then he decided to buy out stock blinds instead.  They were a lot cheaper.  I also talked to a gentleman who believes we sold him more carpet than he needed.  The carpet has already been installed.  If he had a problem, he should have brought it up before he paid for the installation.  I told him that if he wanted, we could send a measure tech out to do a remeasure, but he would have to pay $100 for it.  He said he was going to think about it.

And Christmas has arrived.  In the past, our Christmas displays have had a large selection of trees.  There have been way, way too many inflatable lawn ornaments, and quite a few large indoor ornaments as well, like 6 foot tall, talking and singing Santas.  We have no Santas this year.  We have no large singing elves, or carolers.  And the number of artificial trees on display is small.  Most of this stuff we get from China.

And evidently Dementia Don doesn't remember he was president on January 6.

The chaos is never ending, isn't it?  This is why Conservatives need to be kept completely out of power.  They live for the words, "shut up, we're in charge," but whenever they are, they are constantly showing the world their incompetence.  Take those 4000 people Russell, the Idiot Vought, joyously bragged about terminating.  Well, they're hiring many of them back because their jobs are essential.  Conservative ineptitude is astounding, so much so, I'm wondering if they all might have dementia.

Orangie's Heart

We had another cool night.  The temp was 46 (F) when I woke up, but that was later than normal, around 0700.  Usually I'm up before then, however I don't use an alarm and so tend to sleep until the sun comes shining in through my side window.  The overnight temps might have gotten a bit colder, but not by much.

My sister's in the hospital, high sugar and low kidney function.  While that sounds extremely serious, I have to admit she's also a sloppy diabetic.  Translation, she doesn't take her meds the way she should and loves to eat snacks; almost every time I talk to her on the phone she's just finished baking something.  My brother called to let me know.  He'd been called by my brother in law, who didn't have a lot of details, so I texted my niece and the details came flooding back.  While the situation is concerning, it's not serious.  My sister just needs to take her meds and cut out the junk food.  She'll change her ways for a bit, and then in a year or two start eating the junk again and wind up back in the hospital.

I get to work today.  It will be interesting to see how busy we are since storms are in the process of moving into the area.  I am scheduled to sit at the idiotic Lead Table from 3-4 trying to get leads for the store.  When I checked my stats I already had 2 leads for the week, so someone must have keyed them under my user ID.

My ballot for the November election arrived yesterday.  It will get mailed out on Monday.  While this is not a mid-term election, there has been a lot of pressure applied from both sides.  We get to voted on whether 3 Democratic Supreme Court Justices are retained for another 4 years.  Of course, Republicans are pushing a "term limit" decision hoping to get them voted out.  These three judges have kept Republican authoritarianism at bay any most Pennsylvanians know that.  I guess you know who I'm voting for.

So, did anyone else hear that the Qatari's are going to be building an air base in Idaho?  Hhhm, though so.  That not too subtle news didn't go over well with the Christian Nationalists.  Ouch!  A Muslim air base in the heart of America.  As soon as I heard that, I wondered if the Qatari pilots were going to be bringing their families with them.  However, that wasn't my first thought.  Knowing that Orangie is a transactional kind of guy, I immediately knew why the Qatari government had given him that jet.  You know it's always been about him first, and even though he says otherwise, America's always been 3rd or 4th when it comes to his priorities.

Orangie also had his 2nd annual physical yesterday because he's so special.  I had to stop reading it when I got to the line that he has the heart of a man 14 years younger.  I mean, where does he keep it?  Is it in a 1 gallon Ziplock bag?  Does he show it off at cabinet meetings that aren't televised?  Can't you picture him lifting that baggie up and saying, "look, I have the heart of a man 14 years younger than me!"

Boots

Okay, so this morning is cool enough to edge on being cold with the outside temp at 41 (F).  We weren't in the 30s (F) as they'd been predicting, but they were close enough.  Autumn is now officially here.  Our long distance forecast has out daily highs hovering around in the mid 60s (F), with periods of rain this weekend. Now the leaves will really begin cascading from the trees.  I may mow those in the backyard, but the ones out front I'll rake into piles around the shrubs and let winter turn them into mulch.  I like putting the ground back into the ground.

And I did work yesterday.  It was slow.  I had a sale go through on Tuesday, so I've reached my sales goal for the week, and someone gave me two leads, so I've hit that goal.  Will I get a measure this weekend?  That's difficult to say, especially if the weather falls apart.  There used to be a time when people would plan on getting new carpet installed for the holidays in order to impress the relatives; those days are past.

Since I don't work today, a bike ride is scheduled for this afternoon.  One thing that's good about this Trainwell program I've signed up for workouts and rides are planned.  Too often I'll find myself scheduling something and not following through, so far this small bit of accountability is eliminating that.

I watched the first few episodes of Boots last night on Netflix.  Based on the memoir of Greg Cope White, The Pink Marine, its the story of a gay young man who enlists in the Marines in the 1990s.  It's a comedy, it's a drama, it stars Max Parker as the company commander.  I like what I've seen so far.  Warning: there is male nudity in case you find that offensive.  And it's getting good reviews. If we get enough people watching it, we can move it into Netflix's Top Ten.

Yesterday at work I decided to confront one of the several MAGA cultists I work with, mostly because he's an idiot.  I was chatting with another associate about RFK Jr's claim that circumcision was one of the causes of autism.  Of course the cultist interrupted because that had to be wrong, RFK Jr would never say anything like that... and there was an escalation, not volume wise, I'm glad to say.  But I can only take so much idiocy, like being told that Orangie's approval ratings were in the 50s, or that inflation is dropping, and that millions of criminals were no longer coming across the boarders (yes, these were his talking points).  I ended the conversation by telling him that when Orangie dies, he's going to go to Hell and you'll be right behind him.  He didn't like that, so we mutually parted ways.  And I'll be honest, I felt so good inside.

And ending on a bright note.  Orangie did not get the Nobel Peace Prize and MAGA world is exploding. This means he will do something stupid and his approval rating will drop even lower.

The Problems with Billionaires

The outside temp was a cool 48 (F) when I woke up this morning.  I had the heat set at 69 (F) was not surprised to hear it turn on while I was cooking up my barley breakfast.  There are freeze warnings out for tonight, however, according to Accuweather, the lowest our temperature will get is 39 (F).  That's 7 degrees above freezing.  Maybe they're just being cautious.

And yesterday was one of those odd days.  Some things were done, like laundry, but not enough for me to say the day was a total success.  I did my Wednesday morning workout in, paid some bills.  Dinner was a beef stewy thing I threw together in the crock pot.  But looking back on it, I'm wondering where the hours went.

Today feels like it should be Saturday, but it's Thursday and I have to work this afternoon.  My new schedule was posted yesterday and it does appear as though I'm back to working 22 hours a week.  That's fine.

I did get some words written, but not as many as I'd have liked.  If it weren't for the shit show going on the country, I'd say I might have a mild case of writer's block.  Unfortunately, there is the shit show and like many Americans, I'm watching it anxiously.

Anyway this popped up in my Facebook feed yesterday, my only ride in a helicopter.  I'm flying back to my ship.  I truly disliked it.  For those of you who have never ridden in a Navy helicopter, they are extremely loud, even with the sound proofing headphones.  To this day, hearing a helicopter simply grates me.

And one of the main reasons we have this shit show is billionaires.  Believe me, billionaires are only conservative because of the tax breaks they are addicted to, they are hooked on the heroin of lower percentage rates.  In their private lives they do whatever the hell they want, most of which is neither conservative nor Christian.  Because Democrats want to tax them, billionaires are backing Republicans. They do not understand that everything has a tipping point.  That is an idea that doesn't enter their thinking process... at all.  And the MAGA cultists?  They are soooo needy.  They also believe that billionaires are like fairy godmothers and fairy godfathers, that they'll wave the little billionaire magic wand and everything will be fine and dandy.  Cultists don't understand that billionaires view them as an expendable resource, or that billionaires will put them through Hell just so that they don't have to deal with pronouns they don't like.  Cultists will always be the ultimate victims, used and then thrown away once they no longer have any value.  Will the cultists ever reach their own tipping point?  I don't know, but the billionaires had better watch out if they ever do.

One Battle After Another

The outside temp here in Central PA is 64 (F) and it isn't going to get much higher, a few degrees perhaps.  Overnight we had on and off soaking rains.  We need them.  The showers are supposed to hang around for a few hours, the wind is supposed to pick up, and the temps are supposed to climb a few degrees.  This looks and feels a lot like the beginning of Autumn.  How seasonal things get is anybody's guess.

I did fix the left drain in the sink yesterday, for the most part.  There's still a bit of a dribble.  The problem was that the red rubber gaskets located where the joints screw together have begun to deteriorate.  With the seals going, water begins to drip, drip, out.  Two of the seals have been fixed.  This morning sometime I will fix the thirds and final seal.  Yes, that's right, I was deal with three seals, and not the barking kind.

Yesterday was also cardio day, so I rode over 11 miles in Corsica.  It took me over 45 minutes, and my average heart rate was 122.  Total calories burned? 404.  I was happy.

And for the first time in a long time, I went to the movies last evening to see One Battle After Another.  I liked it for a number of reasons:  it's definitely pro-immigration making it quite relevant.  It mocks white Christian Nationalists; one of the main antagonists being a group of ultra rich white men belonging to supremacist group called the Christmas Adventurer's Club.  And, besides the occasional foray into drama, for the most part it's funny, almost zany at times.  Lots of Oscar nominations for this one including DiCaprio and Sean Penn.

For those who missed it, Pammy Jo Bondi had to testify at an Oversight Committee hearing yesterday, at least that's what was supposed to happen.  She refused to answer so many questions and when she did she always deflected.  An example:  when asked if she'd seen pictures of Orangie with underage girls in the Epstein files she started her response with "What about the fires in California."  This was a yes or no question.  She could have said "no," and many Republican Senators would have sighed in relief.  However, she deflected.  Perhaps she realized that a negative response might possibly lead to perjury charges against her in the future.  People who are certain about what they believe the future to be will always lie, so I suspect Pammy Jo may be a bit uncertain about certain things.

Finally, AOC said the Stephen Miller is 4 feet 10 inches tall.  Truthfully, he's probably an inch or so over 5 feet.  Still, now we know one of the reasons he's such a vile, angry man: he suffers from short man syndrome.  So, maybe we should start calling him tiny Stevie.

Body Fat

I think that 60 is a nice round number, especially when 60 (F) is an early morning outside temperature.  Th night was not that cool, and our afternoon high is again forecast to climb into the lower 80s (F).  That is until the showers arrive.  Originally, the rains were to bring several days of cooler weather.  That no longer appears to be the case.  We will have one day when our daily high should be in the low 70s (F), then the thermometer is supposed to rebound for several days.  Eventually, we will get cooler weather.

Yesterday was both a good and bad day.  Good because I got my workout done early.  Yesterday was done mostly with dumbbells.  I did Romanian Squats with a 15 pound dumbbell.  Today my abductor breves are a bit sore.  Whenever something like this happens, I'm reminded of my mom, who rarely, if ever, did a proper exercise.  In her mind, if you were achy or sore after exercising you did something wrong.  This is why she sat around for most of her life.

The bad bit is that the left drain on my kitchen sink began leaking.  Since I haven't pulled anything out from under the sink for 2 or 3 days, things got wet.  This means that later this morning I will have to drive over to that retailer I work in order to buy the patch I need to repair the leak.  Since BJs is on the way, I will stop off and complete 2 chores for the price of one.  I will also stop off at my neighborhood Giant on the way home; Howie is nearly out of puppy peanut butter cookies.

Blogger has started something new where you can add "search links."  I might give it a try and see what it does when posting bits from articles, see if the links hold true.  It's form of AI and that's a slippery slope to climb.

For those concerned about their own body fat, this might help you decide where you're at.  Personally, I'd like to be in the 16%-19% range.  Right now, I am not.

Orangie had one of his sit down press conferences yesterday.  While he can stand for a bit, these are much easier on his legs, cankles, and feet.  He did stand for his Navy speech.  You know the one I'm talking about, right?  The one where he supposedly warned the government about Osama Bin Laden over year before the attack on the World Trade Center?

Well, at yesterday's sit-down, he was asked about Ghislaine Maxwell and responded by saying he hadn't heard that name in a while.  He then said he'd ask the Department of Justice about her.  Many interpreted this to mean he was going to pardon her.  There are others who thought this might be linked to his dementia.  Did he truly forget?  This might be the case.  Remember, he does believe he warned the United States about Bin Laden.

So, I did the AI links.  Feedback would be nice.  I mean, did anybody click on a link?

Outside temps are again in the low 50s (F) and today is predicted to be a replay of yesterday.  The same thing is in store for tomorrow.  Wednesday, however, weather forecasters are calling for rain and a temporary drop in temps.  The cool weather should only last a day or so before daily highs are again predicted to be in the mid to upper 70s (F).  These are rather warm temps for October.  While I'm pleased that I don't have to turn on the heat, I will admit that I'm missing a stronger changing of the seasons.  This doesn't meant that our winter is also going to be warm, except for last year, this is the same weather pattern we'd been experiencing for the past several years.

I did work yesterday.  It was a slow day.  I got my steps in early, and then kept walking.  I'm fairly certain that we didn't make plan last week.  This is how it goes.  This doesn't mean that store associates weren't busy.  A change is coming.  The large area to the left of the front entrance was being cleared out because sometime this week, Christmas is arriving.  Yes, you did read that correctly.  We're getting Christmas in October.  This means that Black Friday is just around the corner.

And my schedule has been changed for the next 3 weeks.  Normally I work on Mondays, that's not the case today.  I'm off.  However this week I work Thursday.  Then for the next 2 weeks I'm back to my 22 hour a week schedule.  I'm fairly certain that this will revert to the 17 hours I've gotten used to.  Sales simply are there.

I've been buying tile mosaics and bringing them home to see which one my work well with the mirror in the bathroom.  So far, I've returned everyone of them.  I want a glass tile, and we just don't carry them in the store.  Last night, I looked online and found one I like.  I shall order a sample to see what it looks like.

Over course Stevie Miller, aka Voldemort, is flipping out.  Some people call him Nazi Boy.  It doesn't make a difference what you call him, this man embodies pure hatred.

Here's one of his many Tweets on Zitter.

There is no "growing movement of leftwing terrorism," there is the Democratic Party, and a large number of Independent voters.  One of the key tenets of Fascism is to demonize your political opponents, so Democrats and Independents are now leftwing terrorists.  Stevie is doing his damndest to portray everyone who doesn't bow down to his neo-Nazi philosophy is hated.  However, Stevie is failing terribly at growing his cult.  On October 4, he Tweeted a hate message about left wing judges, and how Orangie's cultists need to treat and fight them.  Yesterday, a fire broke out at the home owned by Judge Diane Goldstein in South Carolina.  This judge ruled that the Department of Justice cannot access voting information from the state, a decision that pissed off Orangie's Administration.  They desperately want Democratic voting records.  The fire is under investigation.  Is Stevie and his hate Tweet to blame?  Many believe there is a direct connection between the two.
