Threatening Catholicism

Well, we had another cold one last night.  We had frost this morning.  Right now the temp is 33 (F).  That's almost cold.  We will be warming up.  Today's high should be in the mid 60s (F).  The forecast calls for one day in the mid 70s (F), but then temps drop back to what is considered normal for this time of year.  Lots of sunshine is also in the forecast.  I suspect this year will be like the last several in that April's showers will arrive in May.

Yesterday was fairly productive.  I cleaned, did laundry, and got in a nice bike ride in Norway.  Grocery shopping was done in the morning.  The Giant supermarket I use gives points that can be used to discount your gas purchases.  I now have almost 50 cents off a gallon.  By the time I have to fill up my tank, I'm hoping to have at least $1. off per gallon.  That should bring the price down, but it won't be close to where it was 3 months ago.

An odd thing did happen.  As I was changing the sheets on the bed, Howie stood up at the front bedroom window and started barking.  He will usually do this when there's a FedEx or UPS truck outside, though sometimes he'll do it when someone is walking their dog down the sidewalk.  Being curious, I looked out and saw the mailman standing in front of my neighbor's house.  They have a golden doodle who's sound more aggressive than he is.  The doodle was out and barking ferociously at the mailman.  Suddenly my nutsy neighbor walked out to the mailman to get the mail.  She was wearing very tight fitting yoga pants and top, I'm talking like skin tight, so I'm sure she was revealing quite a lot to the mailman.  My first thought was, "shit, she's hitting on the mailman."  I wonder, could any of you hear me laughing?

And what about the Orangie's administration threatening the Pope?

No one should be stunned, or even mildly surprised to hear this.  Wack job Hegseth is a Cracker Jack Crazy Evangelical, a broken sect of Christians that hates Catholics.  This another exampled of how vile this administration is.  And for those of you who don't know, there are approximately 69 million Catholics in this country.  When people say that Christianity is the number one religion in the world, that number includes hundreds of millions of Catholics.

Also, for those who haven't realized it yet, the Ceasefire is not really a ceasefire.  You might want to consider it a pause for all parties to regroup.  The Strait of Hormuz is still closed.  Gas prices are not going to be coming down anytime soon.

One of the main reasons for the breakdwon of this faux ceasefire is Netanyahu. Like Orangie's blow bro Vald, Bibi has erotic fantasies of expansionism, and he doesn't care how many souls he has to kill to bring his dreams to fruition.

Five Finger Bibi

We have a warm day in store for us here in Central Pa with a high in the mid 50s (F).  Tomorrow, if the forecasters are correct we might even hit the low 702 (F).  Sadly, I will be working.  On Tuesday, my day off, the temps are supposed to drop again.  This is normal Spring weather, so even though we've not officially hit the midpoint between Winter and Summer, I'd say that Spring has arrived.

I did work yesterday.  I got a measure.  That will please management.  I also had a nice vinyl plank sale, which will please management even more.  Today I'm going to sell an installation.  That's nice.  Keep them smiling.  The new flooring specialist who was hired about 2 months ago told me that he's given his notice.  He's going to work for a sound system company.  He's a nice kid, though his news didn't really surprise me.  He's smart and very affable, but at 24 years of age, he's already had quite a number of jobs.  Wisely, he gave notice, rather than just quitting.  This means we're going to be looking for another flooring specialist.  Anybody interested?

The Oscars are on tonight.  Because I go to the movies a lot, they're the only award show I watch.  As usual, I have my favorites.  Unlike so many others, I'm not going to give any predictions.  What I will say is that there are 2 big favorites for best picture.  Sometimes, when this happens, voters will cancel each other out and another film will win.  This is also true with the best actor category, though Timmy may have danced himself out of the competition.  Two actors from the same film are nominated for the supporting actor and that's never a good thing.  One thing to remember, no matter who wins, no one is going to get gypped.  These films and actors nominated are all very talented.  Simply getting nominated is a boost to their careers.  I've seen a number of these nominated films and every one of them is outstanding.

And now on to the burning question of the hour.  Is Bibi dead or alive?

Numerous five finger no thumb pictures have been posted.  People are beginning to wonder why he hasn't made a statement in over 13 days, especially since he likes to be in the spotlight almost as much as Orangie.  Reports are coming in that he was killed by a hypersonic missile.  You would think the Israeli government would provide some form of evidence to dispel these so called rumors and so for they've give us silence, and some video clips that many are calling AI.

An honest assessment is that this war is not going to the way the Bibi thought it was going to go.  This is what happens when you put Conservatives in power.  Israeli Conservatives are a lot like the Republicans in this country; they believe once they are in charge they can simply create the reality they want.  That never happens and lives are lost because of their incredible stupidity.

Brenda Carr, the head of the FCC, is frantically beginning to shriek that Main Stream Media needs to report on how well the war is going, yet the only evidence that might prove that is Orangie's shit talk.  Perhaps if he weren't a pathological liar this might be somewhat believable.  However, to quote Gavin Newsome:  Trump just makes shit up.

Expensive Smiles

Well, our outside temp is in the mid 50s (F) and it will warm up today.  Sometime this afternoon we should reach the mid 70s (F), then, however, the storms are going to roll into the area. Overnight the temps will drop back into what is considered more seasonal, with afternoon highs being in the low to mid 50s (F).  This is fine.

The new phone arrived yesterday.  Howie embarrassed me by jumping up on the UPS delivery man.  I apologized.  Howie's okay with most people, the he's always excited when the UPS man comes a knocking at the front door.  Yesterday was no different.

As for the new phone.  I thought I'd get it up and running in about 45 minutes.  Well, it took that long to transfer the data.  All the apps were there, however none of the apps recognized the phone.  This meant signing into every single one of them.  Some needed to uninstalled and then reinstalled before I could sign in because they were attached to the old phone's IP address.  Over all, it took me most of the afternoon.  I was scheduled to do a cardio and that got canceled.  I texted my trainer and his comment was that getting a new phone was as bad as having to change a credit card.  I haven't had to do the later, but I'll take his word on it.

This morning I went to the dentist.  I have a molar that cracked.  There's no help of saving it.  I can remember a time when, if you needed to have a tooth pulled, that would happen in the office.  Now I have to go to an oral surgeon.  He said I could replace it with an implant for around $4500.  I said no.  At my age I can think of much better things to do with my money than to pay for a molar implant.  He then said I use that tooth for only about 2% of my chewing anyway.  Why does everything have to be about greed?

And evidently Israel's Iron Dome is good when all it has to deal with are the small rockets shot at the country from a fairly close range.  Those missiles Iran is shooting at them?  A different story.  They are getting through.  Some of them have cluster bombs attached.  Even Fox Entertainment is reporting this.  Of course, Israelis are beginning to ask "where's Bibi?"  For those who don't know, 12 days ago he took a long flight out of Israel.  Some thing he might be in Florida.  Believe me, this spineless man is as far away from the war as he can possibly get.

Americas casualties are worse than Kegsbreath and his Department of Defense want to admit.  As of yesterday, the number of injured was somewhere around 150.  Even Karoline Leavitt admitted this.  But then she also said that the Orange Anus took us into this war on a hunch.  Just let those word swirl around in your brain for a bit.  Remember the saying Everything Trump touches dies?  Well, those things he touches are all hunches.  Oh, dear me.  I think we as a country should be very concerned.

Evacuation Orders

Well, we're dealing with a wintry mix.  Well, that's not quite right.  Mostly we're dealing with a drizzle.  The temps are borderline freezing, but that 1/10th of an inch of ice has yet to put in an appearance.  This doesn't mean there isn't a glaze on the windshield of my car, there is, but is it 1/10th of an inch thick?  I'll find out later when I go to the store.

Yesterday, retail was slow.  The store didn't make plan last week, but was on track to hit our $$$ goal when I left.  So, mostly it was a lap day.  I did get in my steps, and that's about all I did.  We did cut some indoor/outdoor carpet for a young man who was going to put it in his Jon boat.  I had no idea what kind of boat that was, so after he left I Googled it.  A Jon boat is a flat-bottomed boat with a shallow draft that is used in streams, rivers, ponds and lakes where the water is flat without waves.  The Jon boat doesn't like waves.  Consider this your bit of boat studies for today.

A tech from Berkheimer should be here shortly to evaluate my furnace.  Update coming tomorrow.

And I work with an associate who was born in Lebanon, the country, but who grew up in Kuwait.  His wife owns an apartment in Marrakesh.  Usually once a year they will go there for at least a month.  This year they also took a quick jaunt to Istanbul.  He was surprised that I've never been there.  I kid him about not bringing back souvenirs, and this year he brought one back.  It's pretty and hangs on the wall.  He knows the man who makes these, so if you have any interest in purchasing one, let me know and I'll put you in touch with him.

And thanks to Marco Rubio we now know that we initiated the war with Iran because Netanyahu convinced the Orange Anus that if Israel attacked Iran, that Iran would then attack the United States.  As so many people have already said, Orangie is not the brightest color in the box, nor is he the sharpest tack.  The US government is waring Americans to leave 15 countries in the Middle East. so I guess this means that a trip to Istanbul is off.  But this does go back to what I've said before on Orangie being so easily manipulated.

And, of course, Orangie did was supposed to about America's servicemen and how terrible it was that we had already lost a few lives in this unnecessary conflict, and after a few moments change the subject to something more near and dear to his heart, his ballroom, the cost of which has now ballooned up to $400 million.

Finally, the videos of both Hillary's and Bill's depositions were released yesterday.  Talk about taking no prisoners!  They both realized the GOP was doing nothing more than kicking dead horses.  The bit where Hillary learns that Brainless Boebert took a picture of her and had it posted on line is simply priceless.  Both Comer and Boebert can be heard babbling in the background as Hillary slices and dices.  Why are Republicans so stupid?

Trump is so Easily Manipulated

We've got a super mini cold front starting to pass over Central PA.  Today's high will be in the low to mid 30s (F).  That's a lot better than 19 (F).  Tomorrow morning the sky is going to spit of bit of sleet and rain that might be up to 1/10th of an inch thick, and the precipitation will only fall for a few hours.  Then the freezing drizzle will stop and things will begin to warm up.  I can live with this.

Retail yesterday was slow.  We definitely missed our plan last week.  Whispers are circulating that supervisors are going to be moved.  I'm hoping this means that our current supervisor is assigned a new position where she will not adversely effect sales.  The words "qualifying the customer" do not exist in her vocabulary.  Yesterday there were 2 sets of people in the department, a husband and wife were looking at rolled carpet, and a family were looking at vinyl plank flooring.  Both had been greeted.  Both had said they were browsing.  She walked into the department, looked at them, and said, "those are 2 sales."  When I explained that we had already talked to them, she frowned, and repeated, "those are 2 sales."  She will never understand.

And this morning I'm starting my first workout.  It should run around 50 minutes.  I should have more than enough time to finish it and still get ready to go to work.

And this is very important.

I see this morning that the war in the Middle East is expanding.  No surprise there.  Three of our fighter plans were shot down by friendly fire by Kuwait.  This makes me wonder if they are really our allies.  The Orange Anus originally said this was going to run 4 or 5 days.  He's now saying 4 to 5 weeks.  Tell, are those going to be famous last words?  I saw that Netanyahu left Israel for safer ground.  He's another gutless sack of shit.  Whispers are saying that for the past several weeks both Netty and Prince Bubble Brain of Saudi Arabia have been plying Orangie's ears with manipulative praise.  Sadly, this makes more sense to me than the fact that he might have initiated WWIII because of the Epstein Files.  His ego lives for praise.  World leaders know that all they need to do is tell him he's the greatest thing that's every happened to the world and he will drop to his knees faster than a two bit whore.  He lives for the Fool's Gold.  Sadly, many innocent people will have to pay with their lives.

Trainwell

So, our overnight temp did not drop below freezing.  This is good when you want the snowpack to melt.  It's also a very good sign that spring, which is only 19 days away, is going to be here sooner rather than later.  That doesn't mean we here in Central PA are going to have cold spots, in fact we are going to have 2 today and tomorrow when our daily highs will not get out of the mid 30s (F).  However, by next Tuesday and Wednesday we should be up in the low 70s (F).  Since I don't work those days, I plan on getting a little yardwork in.

And I did manage to sell 3 measures yesterday in spite of how slow the store was.  We are well over $100,000 under plan for the week.  I will be hitting my sales go and my measure goal, however, that should keep management happy for a while.  I also get to work today.  I'm hoping it will be another slow day.  I have no problem spending 8 hours getting laps in.  Steps are good.

Since we're starting a new month, sometime later this morning, possibly when I'm at work I will be reactivating my Trainwell subscription.  What the past 2 months have proven to me is that I do need those daily notes, and texts reminding me that a workout needs to be completed.  I don't know if it's my age, but I do seem to be becoming a rather lax individual when it comes to working out.

And the Iran issue continues to be the headline attraction for Orangie, and he has, momentarily pushed the Epstein files onto the back burner.  However, it's quite possible he's jumped from the frying pan into the fire.  One thing that has changed is that now Orangie is telling the world the attacks on Iran were for regime change.  This is coming form a guy who's constantly lying about tariffs, and who's failing to convince the American people that other countries pay them.  Regime change has never worked.  History proves this point over and over again.  But then Republicans and Conservatives have never been too smart.  They think all that they need to do is say "shut up, we're in charge," and the people will listen.  They are simply not prepared for the consequences.  I saw where the Netanyahu's government has said there will be no "boots on the ground."  Well, we all know that's horseshit.  The only way that would happen if the Iranian Army would suddenly start shouting "Yippee!  Skippy!  We're glad you're here."  They are already forming another hardline government.  The GOP and the Israelis just don't understand that those Iranians are just like the parties that are in power in both the United States and Israel, though the Iranians don't have people who suffer from bone spurs in charge.

Just Call Me Tactless

Well, we have 54 (F) outside and partial sunshine.  Our high today is supposed to make it up to 70 (F).  If it does, at least according to the weather forecasters, this will be the warmest temps will get for quite some time.  Yes, autumn is in the air.  We had a lot of rain yesterday, not buckets, but constant drizzles and showers, enough to pond the parking lot of the orange retailer I work for.  Today, those showers are gone.

My first load of laundry for the day is in the washer.  Shirts.  They drying rack is fine for some articles of clothing, but certain things, like shirts and pants, need to go through the dryer otherwise you will need to iron them.  When I was young, everything needed to be ironed.  Clothes would go from the clothesline to the ironing board.  And since damp clothing irons better than dry clothing, you would need to sprinkle water on whatever it was you were ironing in order to iron out all of the wrinkles.  Am I like the only person who sees redundancy in this?  Now imagine doing this for a family of four or five.  Damn!

And I did work yesterday.  And even though the store was slow, the flooring department was hopping, at least until I punched in, then everything came to a standstill.  I did cover the paint department while the associate went to dinner, where I had an interesting experience with a tall, young man.  As I gave him his paint, he said he like to give me something.  Reaching into his back pocket he pulled out a small Jesus card.  I glanced at it and handed it back to him, saying, "you can keep it, I don't believe that shit."  He got red in the face and muttered, "you better, it's going to happen," just loud enough for me to hear him as he walked away.  I have friends who are very religious, my friend Jon, the Physical Therapist, for example, and I respect their belies and they respect mine.  I've talked to a number of people about this and it seems that everyone of them has reached the tipping point.  Whereas before they would accept the cards, now they hand them back saying, "no thanks."  I did the same thing, but with a little less tact.

For those who don't know, this is what Gaza looks like.

Yesterday Orangie and Nasty Netty, with the Hamas, officiated Biden's Peace Plan to stop the fighting in Gaza.  Why wasn't Biden's plan signed earlier?  Because Orangie and Nasty Netty put their two vile heads together at Mar a Lago after the election and decided to put it on hold, hoping to use it to their advantage at a later date.  That date happened yesterday.  However, one point missing in the plan is the fact that there is not one sentence stating that the Israelis are going to stop the shooting, and the bombing.  It's a starting agreement which has a few flaws.  You can bet that Nasty Netty is going to take advantage of everyone of those flaws.  You see, Nasty was on trial for corruption until Hamas attacked on October 7, then his trial was put on hold.  Peace would restart Nasty's trial, so one thing you can bet on is that this Peace Plan will fall apart before that happens.

The Painful Lesson

Once again we have sunny skies here in Central PA.  The forecast is for us to have another warm one, with our high temps hitting the mid 90s (F).  That's right toasty in my book.  Tomorrow it will be warmer and by Tuesday we should be topping off at around 103 (F).  That is very hot for June.  These are Tampa, FL temps in the middle of July and we're getting them here in Central PA.  I am hoping this is not a forerunner of what our summer is going to be like.

I did ger a 7 mile ride in yesterday; one of my old favorites in San Remo, Italy.  Tuesday I'll be taking a longer ride, indoors of course, perhaps something with hills.  Even though I hate them, hills are good.

For the time being, this will be the last week that I work Thursdays.  They're cutting hours because it's summer, and while summer business is better than winter business, sales are never robust.

And I'm pleased to say that I'm growing a carrot.  Supposedly, in a week or so, I should be able to plant this outside and in a month or so should have another carrot.  We shall see.

Last night the Orange Anus did something unthinkable to many of us, he let Benni Netanyahu sucker us into a war in the Mid East.  This isn't to say that Orangie wasn't an easy mark.  Everyone in the world laughing at his shitty birthday parade had crushed his ego so badly, he was desperate to prove he was a strong authoritarian.  And Netty?  He's going to sit back and let Americans die.  And Orangie?  He will be so hated by the world.

Americans will be hating him even more.  Some people are pointing out similarities to W's Desert Fart, me?  I'm thinking farther back.  I'm reminded of Vietnam, a truly unpopular war that America lost.  Prepare yourselves for protests.  If Orangie tries to iron fist us, Americans will punch back hard.  The smack back coming to Republicans will be horrendous.

And, of course, none of this is going to play well on Wall Street.  Those billionaires despise chaos and Orangie is rattling the world with his incompetence and indifference to human life.  He epitomizes the "shut up!  I'm in charge!" attitude pervasive in Conservatives.  They are about to learn a painful lesson.

Summer

Friday!  The last day of decent weather.  Rain is on the way for tomorrow.  Of course, some friends from work will get married in the rain, though I suspect they'll be moving the ceremony in doors.  Temps are supposed to drop, too.  We'll be in the mid 50s (F) for a few days before climbing up into the mid 60s (F).  This is typical weather for this time of the year.

I used my new dishwasher for the first time yesterday.  First lesson learned:  do not use Auto.  It's like a slow motion wash taking over 3 hours (that includes the dry time).  From now on I'll just use Normal.  I can download settings if I want, but it's only me and my dishes and I don't see the need to do a deep dive into dishwasher specialization.

The granite countertop has been ordered.  Well, that's not quite right, it won't be ordered until they come and verify my measurements.  That should be in 7 - 10 days after the template has been approved.  Installation means I will have to remove everything from my cabinets.  The base cabinets are not going to be repainted until after the installation just in case there's dinging, and scratching.  I've chose a Summer Beach granite, which is similar to this.  It'll be interesting to see what the actual slab looks like.

I wasn't surprised to see that Steve Scalise dropped out of the race to be Speaker of the House, he couldn't get the necessary votes.  Chaos reigns in the House.  These problems were created by a small group of hardline conservatives who seem to be proving daily that they have no clue as to how to govern.  Because of their incompetence, they're going to lose badly this election cycle.  Good for them.

And, not surprisingly, a vast majority of Israelis blame Netanyahu for the Hamas terrorist attack.  I've said before that both Hamas and Hezbollah sat back and watched as Netty pushed the country into chaos when he tried to change their Supreme Court in order to keep his corrupt ass from going to jail.  This has always been a problem for conservatives who have always put their own self-interests first.  I wasn't surprised to see that Netty chose to form an interim government with the opposition party, he's desperately trying to keep from looking like the worst Prime Minister Israel has ever had.

Israel

Autumn has arrived.  This morning's temp outside was 48 (F).  The high today should reach 60.  Same forecast for tomorrow.  Tuesday the temps are supposed to climb up into the mid 60s (F).  For those who don't know it, wool blanky days are fast approaching.  This also means that the all those thousands of leaves on the maple trees around my house are going to rain down on my yard.  Fun times ahead!

Work was slow yesterday.  I did have a customer who wanted to buy some indoor / outdoor carpet to put on his garage floor.  I kindly informed him that it would not survive.  I mean, it would for a while if you spread adhesive over the entire concrete surface to glue it down, but I would have thought that common sense would have told him that the tires of his car would shred the carpet.

My new neighbors had a loud disagreement last night around 10ish.  Perhaps they discovered there was no heat up in the attic, which their 17 year-old son chose for his bedroom.  Or maybe it might be that they discovered they might have problems with their old furnace.  I do feel bad for them.  They felt they were making a sound investment when in reality they were buying a fixer / upper with new appliances.  It also says something about Ironworks Realty and the agent who sold them the house.  She looks really bad.

I saw this pic and had to post it because this looks like bad casting from a Batman movie that never got made.  The character in the center is Scott Pratt, a Trumplodite.

There was terrible news from Israel yesterday.  There are many reasons for the attack by Hamas, but I do think Netanyahu's presence is a major contributing factor.  There were major protests when he and his hardliner buddies attempted to weaken the Israeli Supreme Court proving he does not have a large majority of the people on his side, and so looked weak.  With the country struggling with the chaos he'd brought, Hamas may have thought this was a good time to strike.  Someone should have told them, no time is a good time to strike.  In time, Netty would have been gone.  Now, all they've done is strengthened his grasp, and as he attempts to prove Israel's superiority may do something truly stupid.  Of course, he is a corrupt conservative to his actions may end up being inevitable.

Goggle This

Monday, and the sun's supposed to shine, though the temps are to be around normal, that means in the mid 50s (F).  That's fine with me.  Things will be warm enough, soon enough.  Many people can't wait for summer and then when it finally arrives they complain about the heat so much I wonder if they have mid-term memory issues.  Don't they remember that summer does not mean temps are going to stay in the comfortable 80s (F), but that there will be times when they climb into the high 90s (F) or early 100sk (F)?

They gave me Specialist of the Month yesterday.  Some think this is a great.  Me?  I know there are only so many Specialists and only so many months in the year.  For a part-timer, my sales are good, better than some of the full-timers, in fact, and that's what they look at.  Still, getting the award does let me order a special gift from an Award Catalog.  Every other time I've won, I've chosen a nice water bottle.  This time?  Maybe a thermometer.

And the new glasses arrived. They're garnet colored.  For those who don't know, garnets are a deep, almost blood red color, at least the ones I've seen.  My grandmother used to have a garnet necklace - big stones. I like them.  They're a big change up from the blue and the lenses are clear.

Elon, the moron, Tweeted yesterday that only verified Tweeters, those paying $11.99 a month were going to get their Tweets prioritized.  This is nothing more than a way for the loser to inject some sort of revenue into the platform since advertisers have been bailing.  A number of those I follow retweeted his post and let their followers know they weren't going to pay the fee.  Many said that if things continued to deteriorate, they could be found on Post.  Transitioning to a new platform will not be difficult.  Right now, it seems that most of the Tweets that pop into my feed are either ultra right wing, or Republicans.  Believe me when I tell you that I'm tried of telling Elise Stefanik that she's nothing more than a lying sack of shit.

And Baby Bibi Netanyahu has reversed, or at least is been stymied by demonstrators who have managed to derail that is authoritarian agenda... for the moment.  I'm sure he's seething.  Conservatives in the US need to pay close attention.

The Human Brain

Hey folks, we have another new week ahead of us, will it be 'same old, same old,' or something different?

Weather wise... we got rain in the forecast for today which is odd because it's bright and sunny outside.  I checked the weather map, however, and there is a storm front moving east.  Right now it's in Ohio, so I'm guessing it will hit Central PA later this afternoon, or this evening.

Yesterday was also bright and sunny.  Even though our Garden department was busier then the rest of the store, flooring was no slouch either.  My sales topped $20,000 for last week.  That should keep management happy, however this time of year we are normally much busier.  Sales are down across the district.  Our corporate office is trying several different specials to try and increase the $$$ coming into our tills, I don't see them working.  Forecasted sales are still too high.  I suspect the investors will end up being disappointed.  That's fine.  I have no problem with them getting a reality check.

I've been making friends with an individual who's going for Doctorate in Physical Therapy in order to build Max into a 3 dimensional character.  He's been a great asset so far.  Sometimes I ask him questions directly, at others I jot them down and text them to him.  Here's an example of one.  During one of our conversations he told me that he'd actually held a human brain in his hands, so now I'm trying to figure how I can write a line or two into the book about that into The Body in Motion.

And for those who haven't been paying attention, Israel's on the point of being flushed down the conservative shitter.  Baby Netanyahu and his ilk are desperately trying to create their own style authoritarian government, one similar to that which our Republicans want, where they will be able to say "shut up, we're in charge."  However, they're running into some serious problems.  A vast majority of Israelis don't want this.  Protests abound.  A General Strike is causing havoc.  And all the while,
Baby and his cronies are facing what might possibly complete political ruination.  I think it's about time that Baby gets his diaper changed.

Here in the good old US, the question of the hour is "will this be the week of Bragg?"  I do believe the New York Grand Jury is set to reconvene today.  Anticipation is still on high.

Harvesting

So, Day 1 of my Staycation was fine.  I had lunch with my friend Betsy, teased her with the first chapter of The Body in the Loch, and ended the visit with a trip to Dairy Queen where I had a large Drumstick Blizzard.  As I commented to Bathwater on 6/8 I love Blizzards.

The rest of the evening was spent in relaxation, not doing anything... well, that's not quite true, I did run the dishwasher, but that isn't really work.

I packed away the medical thermometer given to my by my employer, the large Orange Home Improvement retailer.  Hopefully, I will never have to use the damn thing on a daily basis ever again.  Unfortunately, I still need to complete the Associate Health Check before the time clock will let me punch in; I can't wait for that to disappear as well.

Here are some of the character names from The Body in Repose:  Cookie Lindquist, Raj Beneh, Sheila Caine, and Antoine DeGuerre.  Character names are very important.  It's not unusual for me to spend several weeks choosing them.  I guess, in a way, it's a lot like naming your children, which is odd, since why would you want to give a good name to a character you know is going to be bad?

The harvest has begun on my peaches.  Some of them are fairly sizeable, some not so, being the size of walnuts.

Oh, and it case any of you didn't know, Bibi Netanyahu got his ass fired.  I saw where he's spitting his own version of The Big Lie.  Not only is he a corrupt politician, he's a bad loser, almost as bad as the Orange Anus.  And I saw where Putin defended Russia's action against his political rivals by calling them dissenters and claiming we did the same thing...  you have to remember, he's talking specifically about the Republican party, and even more specifically the Orange Anus.  He's going to create a Civil War in Russia... and he's going to lose.  I will harvest peaches and he will harvest failure.

Magic

Well, here it is Thursday and my ass is running late.  Why you ask?
Well, I got home yesterday and my GoPro was waiting for me.  I unpacked it, put in the sim card and battery, and turned it on.  It beeped several times.  I could see the top of my desk on the view screen... and then it turned off.  I looked at the instructions and one of the most prominent things on Page 1 was 'charge the battery.'  So I plugged in the charger.  Fully charged, I tried turning on the camera.  Nothing happened.  I thought, maybe I was wrong and it wasn't fully charged, so I plugged it in again.  And then I turned it on.  It worked well.  And I thought it still needed to be charged a little more.  Wrong.  There's a problem.  It only works when it's plugged in.  The minute I take it off the charger the camera turns off.  Shit.
I contacted Amazon this morning.  Turns out I purchased the camera from a 3rd party vendor, not GoPro.  There's nothing wrong with that... I've bought quite a number of things through 3rd parties.  But sometimes 3rd parties don't always sell you precisely what they advertise, or, if you remember my desk delivery issues, try to provide services on the cheap.  I have no problem dealing with these vendors.  I was given the option to return the camera.  So, this afternoon on my way home from work, I'm stopping by the UPS store.
Funny thing though, I had bought a Hero 5 Black GoPro, which is one of their older models.  This morning, go to the GoPro website, I saw they had a Hero 7 Silver, their newest model for only $20 more than what I had originally paid.  It's ordered and should be here in about 2 days.  The credit for my refund will just about cover the charge.  This is what I should have done in the first place.
In political news:  I saw where Baby's calling for a Unity Coalition government in Israel.  The powerful liberals want that too, but you can bet once it's formed Baby's going to find himself sitting in the room down the hall when ever they meet.  And soon, his corruption trial is going to begin.
And I know people don't understand that when I sit down and write magic happens.  But now I have proof.  Yesterday, as I was sitting in the living room with the morning sun shining in through the front door, I could see it.  I took a pictures.  Now you can see the magic, too.

Erased

Tuesday, I get to go back to work.  The Go-Pro arrives today as well.  I checked the tracking, something I always do when I purchase things online.  I have to admit I'm a little excited.  What a shame I didn't have this a few years ago, back when the arthritis had paralyzed my right leg.  Then you could have seen cute little videos of me falling down the stairs, or off the back porch.  How cherish it would be to have one of me tottering through my Giant supermarket with my brother yelling in the background "hold on to the cart!  don't let go of the cart!"
I see where Baby Netanyahu's political career is dangling by a thread.  It is Baby, isn't it?  I mean, he is like the Israeli version of the Idiot Jerk in the White House so that would make sense.  I was trying to think back, wondering if there was ever a time when he wasn't corrupt.
Cokie Roberts passed away.  She was always such a bright spot on the Sunday morning news shows, intelligent with a dry sense of humor.  Give her the due she deserves.
And what about Elizabeth Warren?  Holy Crap!  Can we talk about rally's here?  Over 20,000 thousand strong.  In case you didn't know, that's almost as many people who showed up for the Idiot Jerk's inauguration!

Pictures like the one above must give him the burning runs... severely.  I'm surprised he didn't run around shrieking "fake news! fake news!  photoshopped pictures!"  Can you even begin to imagine what will happen if she wins the election?  They always have a meeting, you know?  The outgoing president sits down with the incoming president.  I wouldn't be surprised if he skips it.  The idea of being beaten down by a woman would be too great a blow to his ego.  Because you know she'd look him in the eye and say "everything you've done is going to be erased.  America is going to expunge you from the record books.  We are going to treat you and your party worse than you treated Obama."  And then, of course, she'd smile and say, "don't worry though, we're getting you a supersized orange coverall."

Using Cyrus

Saturday - after today I'll be half way through my 6 day stint.  And I'm back to 40 hours per week... no problem, just extra buckos in the bank.  Tax season's coming up which is not as painful for us in East Pennsboro as for those in surrounding townships.  A number of large corporations have their central offices here, like Delta Dental, and Highmark, to name just two.  They just finished building a brand, spanking new hospital only 2 miles away.  I also get a bit of a discount because my house is considered "historic."  A prime example of how there is a lot of value in 'old age.'
I saw that Martin Shkreli was sentenced to 7 years in jail yesterday, and not one of those "summer camp jails," rather one with real criminals, who are going to desire intimate relations with his ass.  One article I read said that he was 'tearful.'  Did anybody get a picture of Shkreli crying?  If so, copies should be sent to every one of the people his pricing policies screwed over.  Welcome to the real world shit head.  His Karma was soooo bad.
And let me say a little about Cyrus, the Great.

You don't know this, but he bears a striking resemblance to my friend Levi, that's about as far as it goes, however.  Why do I bring up Cyrus?  Because there are Crazy Christians out there who are comparing the Idiot Jerk in the White House to him.  Prophecy, you know, Jerusalem, and moving the American Embassy there.  The Idiot Jerk fed this belief by quoting Cyrus.  This is one of the reasons Evangelicals let him get away with banging porn stars - he's special.  He's fulfilling prophecy is what they believe.  They don't understand this is also how you manipulate a specific group of people.  This is how evil works, gives you what you want.  Slyly, of course, so you don't realize you're selling soul.  This is how you manipulate people to do your beck and call.  The Idiot Jerk wants them to believe.  To be perfectly honest, he's not even close to being smart enough to think this up by himself.  Someone as devious as Netanyahu is, though, and he and the Idiot Jerk seem to be the best of friends.  Can't you hear Bebe whispering in the Idiot Jerk's ear "Use Cyrus to manipulate them.  Use Cyrus."
