I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

At the Barricades

So our outside temp was 47 (F) when I got up at 0545 this morning.  I has only warmed up one degree since then.  I'd say we're in for a cool day, but our afternoon high is supposed to be in the upper 70s (F).  That's fine.  We're supposed to have sunshine, so I will be hanging out 2 loads of laundry to dry.  Save on the electric bill.  I've used quite a bit less this summer than I did last summer.  That should help when electric rates go up, and they will go up.

The lower electric bills will help offset the higher natural gas bills.  Last February was cold, and even though I kept the house temp at 70 (F) I used a lot of natural gas.  This year, for the first time since I set myself up on the budget plan, I had to pay more.  Usually, my final payment is less.  Natural gas rates have gone up, too, as have water rates.  American Water, UGI, and PP&L always use the same excuse: the extra cost is to update their system.  Still, they're stockholders are still getting paid decent dividends.  Corporate greed does not care how much the little people suffer.

I made coffee this morning and there is still a distinct hint of that flavored coffee I used yesterday.  Blah!  Now I will have to scrub everything down, perhaps even run it through the dishwasher.

When I got to work yesterday I saw that changes had been wrought at self-checkout overnight.  Where the area around it had been open when I left work on Sunday evening, by yesterday the entrance had been barricaded with shelving.  This is to stop people from loading up a cart and just pushing it through self-checkout and out the door.  This is also a strong message that self-checkout is not going away.  In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they expand it; one cashier costs way less than four cashiers.

For those who missed it, the Epstein estate handed over his birthday book to Congress yesterday, and in spite of all of Orangie's lies, his page is definitely one of the highest of the low points.  As expected, Orangie is denying the artwork is his and that the signature is a forgery.  His team doesn't even mention that this vulgarity is in a bound book.  From what I've been seeing, this is birthday present to Epstein is really just the tip of the iceberg.

One of the things I find interesting about this administration is their belief that they can ignore public sentiment and do whatever they want because they're in charge.  They seem to think they can ignore the fact that Orangie's approval ratings are so low, even in areas thought to be his strengths, like crime and immigration.  When even the Main Stream Media starts waving their hands in alarm, they should re4alize there is a serious problem, however, they don't.  I suspect this is because most of the people Orangie has surrounded himself with have bought into his deceits, like the fact that elections have been stolen, and that he won in 2024 by a landslide.  Take the terrible numbers put out by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.   When they look at them, his sycophants chorus "they're fake."  Because their hearts tell them all bad numbers are lies, they fail to grasp the fact that a majority of Americans truly despise this man.  And as his numbers continue to worsen, his lies will become even richer.

Penalties Will Be Paid

Well, here we are, another late post.  I had breakfast with my brother this morning, so it's an excusable delay.  Right now our outside temps are 63 (F).  At the crack of dawn we were a bit chillier with our low being at an even 50 (F).  The big question will be if our temp hit the big 80 (F), which is where our forecast has it's sights set on.

Yesterday was somewhat busy.  The Wednesday laundry was done.  I got a 9 mile ride in on Corsica.  I also drove to BJs for a small bottle of wine.  I should set up a spread sheet to calculate just how much money I'm saving simply by purchasing them there.  The membership cost me $15 and so far my savings has been around $21.  An annual membership costs $60 and if I simply buy a bottle of wine every 2 weeks I'll be saving about $130, so that would indicate paying the renewal fee would be in my financial best interests.

Since I had a Denver Omelet for breakfast, today's going to be a salad day.  The omelet itself?  Red peppers were used instead of green, there was some ham, but not enough to provide any real flavor, and the cheese?  I'm thinking they used Velveeta.  It definitely didn't taste like cheddar.  There were hash brown potatoes, too, but you can really screw up frozen hash browns when all you have to do is throw them on the grill for a few minutes.  The one nice thing was that there wasn't an extra charge for the eggs.

I was going to take a picture of breakfast, but forgot, which is probably a good way of describing the meal.  So, instead, here's another failed attempt at a selfie with Howie.

I saw where Chief Justice Roberts burbled out some sort of nonsense about fearing that Orangie was taking the immunity the Court gave him and using it to destroy Democracy.  Now, isn't that rich?  I'm betting that Johnny boy realizes there is a serious crisis approaching and blame might get smeared all over his name, and his Court.  Fingers will be pointed in many directions when this shit show is over and penalties will need to be paid.  Johnny's court now has a big target on its back.  Why did they give Orangie all of this immunity?  Did they think he might surround himself with people who might manage his corruption?  Or did they just delude themselves into believing he simply couldn't be this bad?

And Orangie's approval rating is still spinning downward in a death spiral.  Only 37% of Americans approve of him.  YO!  All of you authoritarians out there, the big secret of having a successful authoritarian government is having a popular authoritarian running the country.  This is essential.  Putin did it.  Orangie?  All of his bluster and bullshit is continuing to drive his ratings lower.  The only thing he will be successful at is failure.

Honesty and Decency

Today will be a short day at work.  I have an eye exam.  There's a good possibility I'll be doing dilation tricks this afternoon.  This means when my Optometrist says "let me look deeply into your eyes" it has more to do with cones and rods and the lining of the back of my eyeball.  The main purpose is to see if my glaucoma has progressed, or if the disease is still locked behind some sort of stasis field.  Hopefully, there will not be a return to eyedrops.

Andy Towle has retired his blog, Towleroad.  I've read it daily for so many years.  It will be missed.

Besides being Tuesday, today is also garbage day... and it's windy; not as bad this morning as it was last evening, which is why I waited to put out my trash.  The gustiness last evening, besides knocking over my resin lawn furniture, took out several of my neighbor's recycle cans.  Now empty aluminum cans clitter clatter as they chase each other down the street.

I got a text from my brother yesterday, my sister-in-law has tested positive for Covid 19.  If she has any underlying health issues, I've not heard of them.  He told me he hasn't been tested for is showing minor symptoms.  This is how it goes.  I go for my 2nd shot on Saturday.  I can't wait.  They say the second dose packs a bit of a punch.  Gee... I'm supposed to go to the movies Saturday night.  If they show up, I hope they wait until after the show.  As for Sunday?  If I'm feeling a bit of the malaise, I have no problem taking off work.

So, CPAC is over and all of those Cracker Jack Crazies have gone home to incubate their Big Lies and Bitter Hatreds all the while Biden's approval rating continues to climb.  The GOP's failed president topped off at 48%.  It's bad when more then half the country don't like you.  However, when you hit 61%, as Biden has, well, that's a very good thing.  And amazingly, 63% now say the country is on the right track.  Let me translate for those Conservatives out there:  Lies and Hate fail, Honesty and Decency triumph.

So, it was a sleep in morning after 4 days of work.  I also stayed up late last evening, watching "The Prom."  The music was nice.  There were quite a few comments about James Corden playing a gay character and I agree with them.  Don't hire an actor just to get a name on the marquee.  I like Meryl Streep, but again, they should have hired someone younger, but again the marquee won out.  The show may have played well on Broadway, on my large, flat screen TV I thought most of the two hours came across as... well, flat.  Be forewarned, Act II comes across as a Disneyfied sugar rush.

Of course, ever since the Idiot Jerk's failed coup attempt, we've been flooded with images, videos, and statistics.  One of the statistics I find most amusing is the one regarding his approval rating among Republicans, which is around 74%.  At first glance, that % seems rather high but then that first glance is seeing it out of context.  That figure represents his Republican base.  His overall approval rating across the country is 29%.  That is the % represents America, not the GOP.  The 74% of Republicans is, in reality, 29% of Americans.  The GOP is now and will always be a minority group because they are mostly white, and they are just not making enough babies.

Oh, and the funniest thing I heard yesterday was a comment made by Rand Paul, that if the Senate finds the Idiot Jerk guilty, half of the House will walk out.  Sorry, but does he really see that as a threat?

Start Sharpening Your Stakes

Well, it's Saturday and one of my Dwarf Fire Gouramis has died.  Yep, he's floating around the top of the tank.  This happens with fish, which is why when starting up a new tank never buy anything expensive.  I'd be flipping upset if it were a $50 discus floating belly up.

I was scheduled to work today, but... I am scheduled to be off tomorrow.  And then I work Monday and am scheduled off on Tuesday.  Anyway, today's going to be a personal day.  That will give me 7 days off in a row.  I can't remember when I've had this many sequential days off.

One of the things that's changing in my hallway is the elimination of the chandelier.  It's dusty as hell and the time has come to say goodbye.

I installed it about 22 years ago.  When I moved into the house the lighting fixture looked like a fake copper kerosene lantern, without the globe which dimly lit the staircase.  The chandelier brightened things up, however the bulbs kept burning out.  If one of the little candelabra bulbs lasted 4 months I was lucky.  Believe me, I went through a lot of bulbs.  The LED bulbs lasted about a year, not a 5 or 6.  New track lighting is going up today.

And I got on the scale to see how much weight I had gained during this staycation of mine and was horrified to see it flashing at me... That much weight, I thought?   And then I realized it needed new batteries.

And what about the Idiot Jerk in the White House using the US Postal Service as a bargaining chip?  This man is so incredibly stupid.  His approval rating will drop lower than its current 38%.   Biden got a bump with his selection of Harris, even among Progressives who realize this election is about driving a stake into the heart of the Republican Party.  There are so many problems with the Idiot Jerk and his party.  American Voters are fed up with this hate message they've been regurgitating for years.  Since he can't offer anything of substance, he's looking for a new nickname for Biden...  Just think about that for a second without questioning the juvenile absurdity of that idea.  Biden is going to give his acceptance speech and American will tune in to listen.  The Idiot Jerk will give his acceptance speech and his base will tune in, and then he's going to shit a brick when he sees how bad his ratings are and then... maybe, he might realize that a major majority of Americans are sharpening their stakes.

Pigeon brained

Wednesday... and I get to go back to work.  For five hours I'll get to enjoy Social Distancing.  My new schedule was posted yesterday and right now I get to go back to full-time hours on May 18.  I do not doubt we will still be wearing some sort of face coverings, probably until there's a vaccine.
A bit about the 'negative' tests:  just because you're not infected today doesn't mean you're not going to get infected tomorrow.  I suspect there are a lot of people out there who don't understand this.  They are like this woman here, who will never get it.

Guess who the woman in red is supporting for President?
The NYT mentioned Greece again. That country has only had 138 Covid 19 deaths.  Maybe we should all move there, or at least visit.
The Idiot Jerk's administration put out guidelines yesterday for states to follow in regard to opening up.  One of those rules is to have declining infection rates for 14 consecutive days.  No state has reached that yet.  The curve has been flattened in many places, which means hospitals are going to be overwhelmed, but people are still getting sick and dying.  This is something Republicans don't seem to understand, that people are still getting infected.  Of course, their intelligence level is so low many of them consider flattening the curve to mean it's over.  Nope, Granny can still get sick and die.  Don't worry, his base will soon be protesting the wearing of face coverings.
Not surprisingly, his approval ratings have not stabilized.  Nope.  They are experiencing a constantly slow erosion in part, no doubt, because of his need to constantly be in the spotlight.  While his daily briefings may have enthralled his base, the rest of America shook their heads and murmured "Holy Shit."  The never gush of self-praise became more than annoying.  He surrounded himself with scientists and then treated them as though they were "Chatty Cathy" dolls, where every time he pulled a string they spit out a compliment.  All of this has taken a toll on the approval rating of a not too popular president.  And I guess it was the same yesterday, at his non-coronavirus briefing, where he had small business owners come out and compliment and congratulate him on the good job he was doing.  Son of a bitch.
Anyway, I was busy yesterday.  I finally got the wall in my staircase painted.  This is what it looks like now.

Now I have to figure out what I"m going to do with the banister.

The good and the bad

Holy Crap!  It's Monday... well, it is for me and I've got to work for 5 days in a row.  Every time I have one of these 4 day mini-vacas I realize how much I hate going back to work full time.  And I will have to deal with this crap for at least a year yet.  Once my car is paid off, who knows what will happen.
The Idiot Jerk in the White House gave his State of the Union speech last evening.  The MAGA heads went wild.  Some Republican lawmakers chanted 4 more years.  In case you didn't know, they are all about a white GOP dictatorship. And the Idiot Jerk, he knows exactly who is base voters are and he played directly to them.
Oh, and about that impeachment....  I don't know if any of you have seen the Idiot Jerk's approval rating, but it has gone up... to 49%  More Independent voters jumped on board his evil train.  Why?  Well guess.  A word to all of the firebrand Democratic freshman of the House, this is what happens let your anger run rampant.  The articles of impeachment were dead on arrival at the Republican held Senate.  I mean, did these firebrand freshmen really believe the Republican held Senate was going to shoot itself in the head?  No matter how powerful Adam Schiff's closing argument was, Independent voters did not see Crimes and Misdemeanors.  They saw a stupid old man doing something he should have been punished for, but they didn't think he should be fired.  The same thing happened at the Clinton impeachment.  The only better about this impeachment was that the Idiot Jerk's approval rating only hit 49%, Clinton's went up to 55%.  For those who don't remember, Bill Clinton was re-elected and the failed impeachment proceedings had a lot to do with that.
On the bright side, and I know many who are smiling broadly about this.... Pete Buttigieg won in Iowa.

This is evidently a hit to Bernie's campaign.  Bernie needs to deal with it.  He has to understand that in the scheme of things, no one really wants to be a Socialist.  Poor Uncle Joe Biden fared very poorly.  This is how life is.  An interesting point, I had breakfast with my brother yesterday and he, who loves his Christian Conservatives, brought up Buttigieg.  He said he thought Pete might have a real chance at winning,  He said he could 'get out the young vote.'  You have to remember, one of the things Buttigieg touts are his Christian beliefs.  That's important, he might be gay, but he isn't a scumbag.  We will have to wait and see how well he does in New Hampshire.

Barr Failed

It's Friday.  There are those who will be posting little dancing gifs because they have the next 2 days off... me?  I get to work for 6 days.   This means I have one of my almost, but not quite weekends next weekend.  Translation:  I'm off Friday and Saturday.
No!  I'm not going to see "Sha-zam!"  I work with a gent (early 60's) who's all excited.  He goes to see every 'super hero' movie.  When he asked if I was going to see it, I told him 'no.'  He over enthusiastically said "but it's Sha-zam!" To which I responded: "I wouldn't see that shit if you paid my way."  In case you didn't know, this gent is a Republican and supports the Idiot Jerk in the White House.  This is the mindset we're dealing with on a daily basis.  When ever I hear Sha-zam, this is what I think of:

Now that I've managed to stick that in your brain for life, shall we move on?
As AM pointed out yesterday, the Idiot Jerk was flipping crazy burgers... with lots of cheese.  Both the NYT and the Washington Post are posting stories about how those on the Mueller investigation are 'unhappy" with the way the report was released.  Fanning the flames is the fact that we all know the Idiot Jerk was expecting a bounce in the polls.  He did try and do some sort of 'victory dance' shouting out he had been exonerated - everybody except his base knew that was a lie.  You see, he thought that putting his henchie (Billy Barr) in the AG position was a sure fire way of growing his approval ratings.  He desperately wants to be popular.  Sha-zam!  The truth is Billy Barr failed.  The Idiot Jerk's approval ratings are... fucked stuck.  Nothing seems to effect them, even Billy Barr's attempted obstruction of justice.  They haven't gotten any higher, and when they drop it's only by about 4 or 5 percentage points.  This lack of improvement is beginning to cause... concern for the Republicans.  They can only rely on one group to go to the polls and vote for the Idiot Jerk and that group doesn't have the numbers to get him re-elected.
One final note:  the Idiot Jerk won on a technicality because of 1 thing, voters stayed home.  Why?  Two reasons:  many Democrats thought Hillary had it in the bag and there weren't enough morons in the US to elect the Idiot Jerk, but something even more telling is that Hillary had a disapproval rating of 54% among Independents.  They just didn't vote for her.  They either stayed home because they wanted Bernie as the candidate, or voted for someone else... not the Idiot Jerk, if they'd done that he'd have won by a landslide.  Approval is everything, which is why we should really be glad that Barr failed.  Sha-zam!!

Squash This

Tuesday!  and I get to go back to work... and I'm not really that excited about it.  Can you tell? 😒  Even though I only have to work for 2 days, I'm still feeling 😒... this is life.
I saw where a 2nd woman has come forward to complicate Joe Biden's bid for the Democratic nomination.  He made her feel very uncomfortable by... rubbing his nose against hers.  The first thought zinging through my mind when I heard that was:  "What the fuck!"  The 2nd was? "Is she under psychiatric care?"  Can we talk about being overly sensitive?  Does she complain about everything that makes her feel uncomfortable?  What she really needs to do is get a job in retail.  Back when I was managing the paint department, I color matched an exterior stain for a woman.  She was furious because the match was not exact.  She yelled across the counter, "I hope yesterday was your first day on the job because you're fucking incompetent!  If not, you should be fired!"  So, tell me, what do you think Miss Nose Rub would do in this situation?  Burst into tears?  Or, maybe look for Joe Biden to give her a comforting nose rub?
Over in the UK, I saw where Nick Boles has resigned, adding to the Brexit mess.  His reason?  Conservatives are refusing to compromise.  What world has Nick been living on?  Conservatives never compromise.  Look how they're screwing up America.  Their most favorite word is... "no."
And, speaking of America, evidently many Republicans felt that when Billy Barr refused to admit the Idiot Jerk in the White House was guilty of obstructing justice his approval rating would... go up.  That's what the Idiot Jerk thought, that once the 'witch hunt' was over the American people would fall in love with him.   That man is dumb as a brick.  A large majority of voters still believe there was some sort of collusion, and they're certain obstruction of justice was a daily practice.  As a result his approval rating is stuck in a stagnant pool, supported only by the brain dead conservatives whose favorite word is "no."  An approval rating of 43% is horrendous if you're trying to get your ass re-elected.
Finally.  More of the seeds I planted are getting blossoms.  These are definitely squash.

If the weather warms up enough, I'll take it outside so some buzzy insect can make it pregnant with baby squash.

Today is the first day of Spring!  Right now, the Temp outside is 29 (F).  That's a chilly -1.6 (C)  Of course, let's be honest, 29 (F) is still a bit too cool to be running around in a T-Shirt and shorts.
I got a really good cardio in yesterday.

You might have to touch it with your mouse to make it grow
Having some free time yesterday, I did a little digging into the declining approval ratings of the Idiot Jerk in the White House - I was spurred on by his claim that he was at 52%...   Sean Hannity must be feeding him numbers again from the bullshit grading scale.
Gallup has him sitting at a solid 39%.  That's not as low as he's been, that was an approval rating of 37%.  Yet he says his approval ratings are high... I mean, can we talk about fake numbers here?  The funny thing is that back in January even Faux News was ringing the alarm bell.  Of course, in his world of superfluous bullshit those numbers can't be right.  In his mind, people love him.  Keep in mind, he is mentally ill.  He has some sort of narcissistic specialty disease which cause him to constantly lie about how important he is even in the face of the truth,
An interesting statistic these polls point out, even the one from Faux News, is that his base is eroding.  His approval rating from Evangelical Christians has dropped from 78% to 69%, and they are the highest group of religious supporters.  Only 30% of Catholics approve.  This might be one of the reasons he went to church this past weekend.  However, I suspect sitting in a pew and being scolded by a minister on 'hate speech' must have burned his ass.  He no doubt thought his ears were going to ring with praise.  Oh, dear me, was he disappointed.
As for me, I have to go to work today.  Five days in a row.  Shit.  And then I have Jury Duty for at least one day.
Oh, and I saw where USC is not letting those students who bribed their way in register for classes.  Boy, that must really piss off the Loughlin clan.  They didn't spend half a million in bribes to be treated like everybody else.

High Hell

Today's my Saturday... well, not in name but the spirit is there.  Today is also Halloween.  All Hallows Eve.  That one night of the year when the Idiot Jerk in the White House can take off his mask so the world can see his true horror... Wait... What's that?  He's not wearing a mask?  Shit, and I thought that was his 'pretty boy' look.
He went to Pittsburgh yesterday... alone, well, not quite Melanoma was with him and some Rabbi whom nobody seems to know... Myers, who is no relation to Eli Zinneman-Myers, that I can guarantee.  Even Pat Toomey, our failed Republican Senator stayed away.  I'm sure that didn't sit well with the Idiot Jerk, being shunned.
Normally a president's approval rating goes up during times of National Crisis... his dropped 4 points.  And his braggadocio yesterday about being able to override the Constitution?  Let's be honest here, this guy is dumb as a fucking brick.  Or maybe he's been listening too much to those Evangelicals whispering in his ear.  They tell him he's been chosen and can do what he wants.  Shit, they're as manipulative as he is and, I suspect, it will not be long before they start sacrificing goats.
And, since tonight is Halloween, I'm going to have to turn off the motion detector for my front lights.  Other wise they will turn on every time a Trick or Treater walks by, darkness is much better.  Then they will really get a scare when I let out the big dogs to bark and snarl at them.  What Joy!  Let me tell you Biggie is loud!  Of course, he's not nearly as scary as someone in a Trump mask.
Being that this is a holiday, I do have one decoration, not that I only get it out for this one night of the year.  It's too special for that.

That's right, I have a death globe!  I wish the black flakes inside were sparkly.  We can't have everything, you know?
And if you think this is scary, imagine the horror of Republicans with midterms only 6 days away.  The Idiot Jerk is throwing as much shit at the wall hoping it sticks... the problem is that most of it stinks to high hell.

Belly UP

Monday equals a work day for me.  In fact, today and tomorrow.  Then it's off for 2 days.  I will enjoy them.  The weather is supposed to be nice.  The unfortunate thing is that I will have to work 6 days in a row starting Friday.  And the really unfortunate thing is that my copy of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey is arriving on Friday.  That's when I go from being Dave during the day to being the stunning Alexios during the night.  Can you even imagine me as a hot Spartan?
One of the interesting things about the Kavanaugh nomination, and I'm seeing this in multiple places, is that a vote for him is a vote against the GOP.  Even if they managed to get him onto the Supreme Court, the party as a whole will lose.  Votes will stack up against them and their policies.  They are in a no win situation.  Of course, they can't see this because they're stuck with one dimensional vision.  Selfishly, they only see what they want.  Consideration of others is not an option.  Whereas the Founding Fathers started off with the words "We the People," a conservative's most favorite word is "my:" my money, my taxes, my religion.  They will be selfish to the end.  I suspect this is part of their genetic code, some faulty mutation which is also causing them to slowly die off.
Now for something funny.  Yesterday I got into a bit of a discussion with my cousin's wife on Facebook.  I stated my axiom about an unpopular president moving the country in the opposite direction his party wanted and she said something like. "I thought you knew, he's not unpopular.  He's very popular."  How is that for shits and giggles?  People who think this way tend not to go to the polls.  They don't see any reason in it.  If you're popular, you don't have anything in the world to worry about.  These are people who believe the world laughed with the Idiot Jerk during his speech and the United Nations.  Anything that contradicts the Idiot Jerk is fake news.  That's right, it's not true, and they have nothing to worry about.  Just think about the stupidity here.  The Idiot Jerk got his ass elected because (1) way too many people thought Hillary was going to win and stayed home; (2) a lot of dumb shits who rarely vote went to the polls to keep her out of office.
Without Hillary there is no enemy.  Hence, there is no longer a need to drag your sorry ass out to and vote.
These people don't understand the Blue Wave, or the Blue Judgment, or the Blue Takeover.  Thanks to Faux News and the Idiot Jerk, himself, they believe he is one of the most popular presidents in history.  They believe he has accomplished great things, that his administration has done more in his first term than any other president in the history of the United States.  They don't know that they're brain dead.  They don't understand how quickly after the midterms this administration is going to go belly up.

Disapproval Rating headed into the Records Book

Well... we had some snow yesterday... and it hasn't melted away yet, most likely because the temp is hovering around 33 (F).  Isn't it a good thing I wasn't planning on going for a bike ride.
Barbara Bush has died, as if you hadn't heard.  She was 92; that's beyond elderly.  She was married to George H, a one term president who started off as a Democrat...  He had problems keeping his head above water while in the White House.  She also gave birth to George W, the 2nd worst president in American History.  The son she most desperately wanted to see in the White House was Jeb, unfortunately for him W blew that possibility to smithereens.
Right now the Idiot Jerk in the White House obviously has targeted in on W's 2nd Worst President position.  I can say this because his approval rating continues to slide downward.  At no time, since they've been recording approval ratings, has any president been this low 15 months into his presidency.  This, in a rather bizarre twist, should actually please the Idiot Jerk since he's always wanted to great at something.  He is... at being a scumbag.  Everyday his disapproval ratings make the record books and the good news, for him at least, is that they keep going down.
And today, being my last day off, will most likely be busy.  I want to get two coats of paint on the dining room walls.  Pictures tomorrow.  The color is Juniper Berries - which is a lot of Forest Green with a dabble of Sky Blue.  That explains a lot, doesn't it?
And rather than do the dishes by hand, I'm going to load them into the dishwasher.  Yes, I have one of those.  I like to run it every two or three weeks to make sure it still works.
Anyway, I was looking for a graphic on the Idiot's approval rating and found this - on the Faux News Twitter feed - which is surprising.  The only thing they got wrong was his disapproval rating which they list as 56% - Gallup shows it at 59%.

I think W dropped down to 28% when the stock market fell apart.  The Idiot Jerk may get that low without the crash - now wouldn't that be something for the record books?

Traitor Trump

Well, I did about 8 minutes on the bike this morning... why so few?  Bad Music, for the most part.  I chose a group called Animal Collective and while I like listening to their music, for the most part it's Sunday Afternoon music, not the sort of thing to get your legs pumping.  They do use drums, but mostly it's keyboards and some guitar...  and sometimes their 4/4 time is rather vague.
And I guess that at least one of the Idiot Jerk's tweets yesterday was supposedly written by his lawyer who gave it to his publicity person to publish.  Doesn't this make you wonder just who is responsible for all of the horseshit he tweets?  He he really just a fat, lazy slob who's delegated his anger to someone else?  In a way that kind of makes sense, I mean he is rather a porker boy, and I can picture him (get ready to shudder) lounging around in his bathrobe, chowing down on bonbons, all the wile ogling Ainsley Earhardt.

She looks a little like Melanoma, doesn't she?
Notice how her teeth are toilet bowl white and her eyes look black as coal?  Makes you almost think this is evil wearing a mask.
In case you were wondering, his approval rating dipped to 34% last week.  Surprise!  Headlines are already popping up on my computer about his rage with Flynn.  The lawyer may have been responsible for one tweet, but the Idiot Jerk seems have taken back control of his phone.  This means only 1/3 of Americans approve of the him, and it case you're wondering, it will only get worse.
And if you think I'm way off in calling him a porker boy, this might change your mind.
So is everybody tired of hearing "crooked Hillary?"  I know I am.  At this point, the Idiot Jerk has shrieked it so many times, it's become impotent, stimulating only his hard core followers.  With all of the revelations regarding his kith and kin in regards to Russian meddling, I do believe we should something new, a chant to ring out this turd from the Oval Office.  What do you think of Traitor Trump?  Catchy, isn't it?  Two words that will bun his ass.  Now, if we could only get a wave going.

The Real Deal

So, here it is... Thursday.  I get to work today and then I have off a day.
We had some DeWalt tools walk out of our Front Door yesterday.  Well, they didn't really walk, someone carried them out... without paying.  And then they drove as quickly as possible to the next closest store and returned them... for store credit.  Idiots.  Store credits have changed.  There was a time when you could return something without a receipt, get a store credit, and then sell it on Ebay to anyone in the country.  Now, when a store credit is issued, they scan / swipe your driver's license or state ID and that credit can only be activated by that particular ID.  Some people get angry when they find this out.  This keeps people from selling them for cold, hard cash, or on the Internet.  Oh, and if you don't have a legitimate ID you can't get a store credit.  Sorry.
Oh, and I saw on Towleroad link that Steven Bannon only gives the Idiot Jerk a 30% chance of surviving through his entire first term.  Like... what's surprising about that?  I'm amazed he's made it this long.  He's kind of like mold, you know?
And I check out the Idiot Jerk's approval ratings, and, as usual, they are very low.  Even the crazy to the right propaganda team at Faux News can only manage to get him up to 42%.  That's kind of funny since that network gushes forth every time he Tweets out a turd, treating it as though it were the most tastiest of Bonbons.

The real deal... not a Trumpy Treat
So, my dining room has pretty much a wall of windows in this wide, but not so deep, alcove that used to hold a window seat.  Originally I thought I might buy some decorative mirrors to reflect the drapes and the windows and the rooms... and then I started looking at prices.  And then I thought... hey! I work in a Home Improvement Store!  I can make something which looks very similar for... oh, say $20.  I mean, I am a Home Decor Specialist after all.

Trump... Idiot in Chief

So, I saw this poll reflecting the Idiot's approval rating, which continues to drop, and had to laugh.  Way down the list, question 9 asks "what word would you use to describe the President?"  And the number one answer is (drum roll please) "Idiot."  I've been using it for quite some time.  "Liar" is pretty close to the top of the list as well.  And, all of this is so very funny.  I wonder if his loyal supporters work their asses off trying to keep all of this negativity for effect his pea brain?  Of course, when he does see it, I'm sure they tell him it's nothing but fake news.  And I wonder what those Idiotic members of the House and Senate think?  It's kind of like the Idiot is the Lemming Chief, and he's jumping up and down and waving his arm shouting, "this way!  this way!  the cliff's this way!"
You would think that there might be at least one person in his administration who'd have the balls to sit him down and slap him up side the head and say "yo, Idiot, America hates, you need to change your tactics."  Evidently there isn't.  And this is funny.  He has, basically, shit in his Depends" and doesn't know he needs to change it.
He is the Chief Idiot.  Patience is a virtue.  His downfall approaches.

He's down by the bow

You don't have to look far to find out how most American's feel about DT, in fact, his low approval approval ratings no doubt are giving him that sinking feeling.  Now, I'm sure his transition team is saying things like "don't worry, this will get better," and "just keep slugging away, we'll hit the top."  Right.  And his bizarre doctor gave a very... odd interview.  Every time he see things like this he want to take a big step backward.  Cori, who works at the paint desk and who's brother is a Trumplodite, says the word going around is that DT is terrified of being assassinated, which may be why his appearances are so short and infrequent.  Didn't anybody tell him that goes with the job in a big time way?
I talk about Karma a lot, the fixing of mistakes, well, for DT this is Karma. A man who needs to have his ego stroked regularly steps into a position where half of the country already hates him.  No stroking going on there.  Winning the presidency was the worst thing that could happen to him.  Big chunks are about to be gouged out of his ego.  Good for him.  I do not doubt that he will go down in history as the "do nothing president," because everything he does that is unpopular with the public will be another sliver out of soul.
And the Republican Party?  They're all on the same boat.  All of their little, pet projects like rewriting the rules of Social Security, slashing Medicare, even gutting Obamacare?  They will fail the minute public approval starts to go south.  They now have a president who needs to be petted, and who wants to go down in the history books as being good, and being popular.  They would have been in a far better position had Hillary won, now they're going to be pretty much shackled by public opinion.  They have a Star who wants to sparkle, not piss people off.

And as for DT?  This is his Karma.  He now has to deal with the fact that not everybody likes him.  People really do hate him.  There are now people out there who now pray daily that something terrible happens to him, that he dies.  They chant "He's not my president!"  And he no doubt daily prays that history doesn't prove him to be the worst president in American History.  He is down by the bow and it ain't going to get any better.
