Well, we have 61 (F) and light rain here in Central PA. According to the forecast, we were only supposed to have a 3% chance of rain today. That means we should have 42.5 minutes of rain... and it's happening now. The sun is supposed to come out later this afternoon, and our high temp is supposed to be in the mid to upper 70s (F). Tomorrow is predicted to be even nicer. That's a good thing because I don't have to work and having decent weather on a day off is always nice.
And I did work yesterday. All day. And I didn't have to. I should have checked my schedule because for the first time in a long time my start time was changed. Normally, I'm punching in at 1000, however yesterday I was supposed to punch in at 1200. That unpredictable change caught me by surprise and, being a creature of habit, I punched in 2 hours early. One of my fellow associates suggested that I punch out and go home for all of 30 minutes. My mental urge was to ask "are you nuts?" What I actually said was, "no, I'll take advantage of the extra 2 hours on my paycheck."
Even though I did get a measure, retail was slow. I missed my sales goal for the week, but I sort of semi-crushed my measure goal by getting 3. I did spend about 20 minutes with a senior Asian woman, helping her with mini-blinds. Even though her English was only slightly better than my Chinese, I will tell you those 20 minutes were simply delightful. Patience is a wonderful thing.
This past weekend Jake Lang, a Nazi Christo-fascist took his hatred to Minneapolis and got punched in the face by Karma. Actually, that's incorrect. Karma was involved, but it was Spiderman who punched him in the face. Literally.
