Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

It's Being Reported

Our outside temp was 67 (F) when I got out of bed this morning.  Temps are predicted to climb into the upper 70s (F) today, not that I care much.  Today's Saturday.  I work.  Rain is in the forecast for at least one day this week, but who knows how much we'll get.  So far the rain showers have been piddling.

I am going to have to get out the lawnmower and trim the grass out front on one of those days.  It's just a small area 3 feet wide and 10 feet long.  The rest of my front yard stopped growing a few weeks back.

And yesterday was sort of a day of accomplishments, and, well sort of not.  I did get a loaf of bread baked, and that's yummy. And I got my workout out in.  There were 2 new exercises done with 40 pound bands which needed to be adjusted.  I did the same exercises with 70 pounds, so I let my trainer know and now we fixed the pound issue.  He also has me doing squats.  I don't like squats.  Still, I'm paying for a trainer so I'm going to do what he suggests.  There was a bit of discomfort after the first routine, however, that seems to have faded so they don't bother me... much.  I looked ahead and he has me doing what I think of as dancing squats, where I take 3 steps to the left, and then 3 steps to the right.  This means I'm going to need find some dancing music.

My next workout isn't until Monday, so I have the weekend off.

Here's a pic of the bread.  I'm planning on take a thick slice to work today for a snack.  Yum.

And there are a lot of "reports" being posted on line.  So many, in fact, I think we should have a veracity index because, to put it simply, so many people simply make things up.  Some times they do this on purpose, at other times these posters will see or hear something and their brains will pixilate it into an unverifiable assumption they regard as truth.  With that being said:

It's being reported that Jimmy Kimmel's attorneys have had a meeting with Disney's attorneys.  This may be true, but there's a lot of inuendo being posted from his suing Disney, to his turning down a return offer.

It's being reported that the DOJ can find no link between Tyler Robinson and any Far Left Groups.  This might be much higher on the veracity index simply because it's going against the line the administration is pushing.  It's another one of many reasons Orangie wanted Kimmel off the airwaves for pointing out that Robinson was MAGA.

It's being reported that there will be no Bureau of Labor and Statistics jobs report this month because...  it is just that damn bad.  This is most likely very high on the veracity index.  This lack of information implies that the job news is so bad that even a well worded lie would fail.

Texting LOL

Good morning world!  Our temps here in Central PA are sitting at 61 (F) and they're not going to get a few degrees warmer.  Skies are supposed to remain cloudy and the occasional showers will be pervasive.  If you're local and this is giving you climate dispair, fear not, tomorrow our temps will be warming back up into the low 80s (F).

I had the first call with my trainer yesterday and things went well.  He seems like a nice guy, very knowledgeable.  He's been doing this for a number of years, so I would expect him to be very personable.  The idea is to keep people engaged enough for them to stay involved for more than just a few months at a time.  He sent me my first weeks workout plan which includes dumbbells, bands, and the kettlebell, and it looks quite do able.  He even has me doing planks.  That will be interesting.

Otherwise, yesterday was just another laundry Tuesday.

This morning Howie brought the remains of one of my pepper plants into the house.  That's right, he's big enough to pull it out of the bucket which is sitting over a foot off the ground.  I did try and take another selfie with him sitting on my lap.  We're getting better at the posing.  Now, all we have to do is get both of our heads closer together.

And wasn't yesterday a potpourri of smorgasbord bullshit?  Let's see:  Patel testified before Congress, Tyler Robinson's supposed texts were revealed, and reporters began asking the Orange Anus some tough questions he didn't like.

Ah, the idiocy of Kash Patel was on full view.  This man is inept.  He dabbed on lip balm, adjusted his tie, and got into shouting matches because of his incompetency.  At one point he said that Epstein didn't traffic in little girls and there was no list.  He followed this up by telling the Senate that Pam Bondi had used 1000 FBI agents to scrub Orangie's name from over 100,000 pages in the Epstein files.  Where this had been rumored, yesterday we got concrete proof of how much Orangie is included in the files.  Not a good thing for Orangie.

Utah's Attorney General released pages of texts supposedly between Tyler Robinson and his roommate and nobody, and I mean nobody, thinks they're real.  Even Caturd, a vulgar Orangie loyalist with a massive following on Zitter calls them bullshit.  Seriously, I spent a good hour laughing out loud at all of the hilariously negative comments.  Even Grok complains the texts are nothing but poorly written dialogue, possibly by some AI software which hasn't been updated lately.  One of the things pointed out by so many people is that there are no abbreviations.  No IDK, ICYMI, no BRB, no LMAO, or even an LOL.  The texts use full words with correct punctuation, and have been frequently compared to something one of the Bronte sisters wrote.

And ICYMI, several reporters, one of them from ABC News asked Orangie questions he didn't like.  The result were several mini-meltdowns.  What a Joy!

Rain in Pylos

Good Morning, people of the world!

I thought yesterday was going to be the last day our temps were going to be climbing up into the 80s (F).  I was wrong.  That'll happen today, if it happens, because we're basically borderline 80s (F).  Sometime this afternoon, the showers and thundershowers will move in and our temps will begin to fall.  That is until we get our yearly blast of Indian Summer.  For those of you who don't know, Indian Summer occurs after the first frost of the year and our temps will zoom upwards for about a week.

Speaking of rain, when I got to Greece the country was going through a serious dry spell.  Melena, our guide for the Acropolis in Athens told us that olives were normally harvested in December, "but who knows this year because we've had so little rain."  Well, on our last night in Pylos we got rain.  At dinner, we chose a restaurant that had an awning in anticipation, the rain, however, didn't begin until after midnight.  And it did rain.  There was thunder.  It was still raining the next morning.  One of our our group who wasn't prepared, texted our tour leader Christos telling him he was going out to try and find a store that was open in order to buy an umbrella.  While trying to find him, Christos got soaked, only to find that the group member was safe and dry back at the hotel. Anyway, the rain was all everybody was talking about, and how it was going to be raining when we got to Olympia.  I don't know how many times I told them not to worry, "it's not going to rain."  Of course, when we got there the sun was out and the temperature was climbing.  Did they really think the gods were going to let it rain on my visit to one of the best preserved archeological sites in Greece?  For those who don't know, this is Hermes.

Of course, the Mark Robinson scandal is creating serious chaos in the Republican party and the Orange Anus will not take back his endorsement.  Orangie can't.  That would mean he made a mistake, and his ego would never survive such an admission.  This is going to hurt him badly in November, for only the cultists will have no problem voting for a man who's endorsing a Black Nazi.

And finally, what about Sean O'Brien, soon to be ex-president of the Teamsters Union.  First, he shows up at the Republican convention.  Then he releases a fake poll showing more Teamsters support Trump than Harris, telling America the Teamsters are endorsing either candidate.  Then, the Teamsters unions across the nation tell him to screw off and endorse Harris.  Then, his VP, who was in the room the day the endorsement decision is made, goes public, telling America everyone in the room that day wanted to endorse Harris, except O'Brien.  How stupid can you be?
