Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Pissing on McConnel's grave

If the long range forecast is correct, our daily highs should be in the mid 80s (F) for the next 2 weeks.  Keep in mind, this is a long range forecast and they're reliability is always questionable.  We have 69 (F) outside now, with overcast skies.  The clouds are supposed to remain.

Sometime today I want to get out my saw-on-a-stick and begin cutting up the branch that was torn from the tree behind my house.  I will also need to check on my container garden to see how dry the soil is.  Last year my plants were spindly.  This year, they're so "get out of the way," overgrown.  Next year, I will need to locate them in other areas of the yard so they all have room to grow.

Yesterday afternoon I got a nice bike ride in along a canal in France.  I rode over 10 miles, and the ride was long and flat.  There was a hill with a steep 10% grade, but it was up over a highway and then down again.  My trainer wants me to bring back the hills.  He also wants me to start doing squats again.  That's probably not going to happen.  I have always hated squats.

Yesterday Big Boy came to my home town.  Who or what is Big Boy?  The last functioning steam locomotive in the United States.  Big Boy stayed overnight in the Enola railyard.  At one point, the Enola railyard was also the largest in the United States, stretching over 5 miles.  The Enola railyard is the reason Mechanicsburg is called Mechanicsburg, because that's where all of the train mechanics lived.  Just to put things into perspective, the Enola railyard is a little over a quarter mile away from my house.  Today, thousands and thousands of people are expected to flock to the Enola railyard to see and take pictures of Big Boy.  A friend of mine whose son works for the Enola police department told me to avoid US 11/15 because the traffic is going to be a freaking nightmare.  I will stay away.  Here's a pic of Big Boy arriving yesterday.

So, Scott Jennings told the world he talked to Mitch McConnell for 20 minutes yesterday.  John Thune said the same thing.  Other Republicans as well claimed to have had conversations with Mitch.  No one believes them because Republicans lie more often then they blink.  It didn't take long before thousands upon thousands of people on social media were making the same claim.  I think that's rather fitting, Mitch McConnell becoming the brunt of black humor joke.  Isn't it nice to know that in death... or possibly near death, Mitch's name elicits a joyful mockery, something almost as much fun as pissing on his grave.

The Orange Anus was supposed to release the unredacted Epstein files yesterday.  He didn't, and, as everyone should have expected, the war with Iran is back on.

When it's over

Well, it's Sunday, a day of rest for some, but not for me.  I work.  But then that's become standard.  My schedule never seems to change.  That's fine.  I remember when I was full time associates would almost kill to have a fixed schedule.

Weather wise?  Today is supposed to be warm and sunny.  Of course, I work.  Tomorrow?  We have a 99% chance of rain.  I haven't look to see if that's spotty showers or possible a soaker.  We could use the latter.

All of the chapters of The Body Under Ice have been uploaded.  I am over halfway done listening to them and making notes for corrections.  While I've always written Bobby Tussel and his reliance on variations of the word "fuck" to be humorous, when you actually get to hear him, he's laugh out loud funny.

Above is a pictures of Paul McCartney that I took while he was in concert at Hershey.  The song playing?  Live and Let Die.  With the approaching court appearance of the Orange Anus, I do think we should keep this song in mind because this may be how we end up dealing with the far Right branch of the Republican part, or at least certain members.  One thing noticeable is that it's the House, the far Right Freedom Caucus that is up in arms, not the Senate.  Mitch McConnell and his crew have remained very, very silent.  I suspect he's trying to get them to keep their hands clean since someone is going to have to try and carry on the Republican Party after this shit show is over.

Was it McConnell or Trump?

Holy Moly, guacamole!  I have to work today!  In the words of one of my intrepid sleuths... Shit.

Yesterday I received a text from a fellow associate informing me that we lost an associate to Covid.  An older man who was vaccinated, he had underlying health issues.  I know the anti-vaxxers are going to point to as an example of how vaccines don't work.  They will keep believing their lies until they, too, are welcomed home by Covid.  One of them had a serious bout with the virus about 4 months ago, meaning his natural immunity has just about run it's course.  I don't doubt that in another 3 months he'll get sick again, we've had 3 associates so far who have gotten it twice.

I rode over 14 miles yesterday on the bike.  It took me a while, my legs are a bit out of shape, but it felt good.  I was pleased... except for the fact that it took so long for my workout to upload.  By long time, I mean over 2 hours.  I don't know what the problem was, but let me tell you, I was starting to get froufrou frantic thinking there might be a problem with the old laptop I use... it is old, and slow.

Helpful Household Hint:  if your honey starts to sugar in the jar, pop that baby in the microwave for a few seconds.  If the bottle does this, you had it in for too long.

I know a lot of foolish Evangelicals believe God sent Trump to give them a conservative Supreme Court in order to overturn Roe v Wade.  In case you didn't know it, they are desperately blind.  Trump gave them nothing, it was Mitch McConnell who put the last 3 Cracker Jack Crazies on the Court... and it took him how many years?  Five?  Obama was president when he (McConnell) started this process.  Wow!  And he (McConnell) had to adjust the filibuster rules to give them their 3 judges.  To hear Republicans talk today, changing those rules is the same as cheating.  Well, (as Eli Zinneman-Myers would say) Shit! I find it odd that the Deity they claim created the Universe (go look at it some night, it's really, really big) in 6 days, took 5 years and needed to cheat in order to give Evangelicals what they want.  Of course... they could be wrong.

Consternation

So, it's Wednesday and for some reason I keep thinking that it's Thursday, probably because I'm anticipating having Friday off.  In case anyone is wondering, I have every Friday off.  I'm unavailable on Fridays.  Well, I am, but I'm not, if you know what I mean.

The Black Friday clutter is beginning to take hold of the store again.  Happens every year.  They advertise this as the Pre-Black Friday, however not much is going to change for retail's holiest of holy days.  Well, they will bring out more junk.  Things the never sell, like toasters, and bar stools.  The dog beds are already out blocking the aisles.  Sorry, I would never buy a dog bed from Home Depot.

I had to relocate one of my fish yesterday, a red mollie.  He was in the teeny 5 gallon, now he's in the big tank.  Mollies are very good community fish, but this guy has a bit of an attitude.  He kept going after a golden lyre tail molly, so now he's with the green mollies.  He's also in with the angels and the golden barbs.  We'll have to see how well he adapts.

My neighbors had to put down their corgi last week, and asked if I wanted the food.  I said, sure, I don't like really mixing foods.  Two nights ago she brought over a big bag of Hill's Science Diet.  This morning my dogs each had 2 cups.  My God!  You'd have thought I'd been starving them for weeks. So I added a large bag to their Chewy's autoship.  A bit pricey, I think.

I understand there's consternation among the Republicans in regard to Biden's infrastructure bill.  McConnell has gone so far as to say it will be a godsend for Kentucky.  I suspect this bill is also going to be very well received in other less financially secure states, like Alabama, and Louisiana, and Arkansas.  These are states where for far too long the GOP has focused on putting the Ten Commandments back in classrooms, rather then high speed internet, or crumbling bridges.  States like Michigan where they tried to shove the issue of lead pipes under the carpet because to fix that issue they might have to increase taxes on the wealthy.  Yeah, the wealthy, those people who live in areas where they don't have to worry about lead in their water pipes.

Little Suckers

Silly me, I forgot to mention it's The Weekend.   That's for all of you who have a 5 day work week.  Since I work 4 days this week, my Hump Moment will happen around 0300, and I'm going to celebrate it by sleeping.

We had another torrential downpour yesterday while I was at work.  Mosquitos are becoming rather prevalent.  Last year people in my neighborhood had a bit of a problem with the little bastards.  Some blamed it on being so close to the river, barely a mile as the crow flies.  They overlook the fact that we have a small park less then a quarter mile away that has sitting water.  I know, I've walked the dogs there.  I'm thinking that's where most of the little suckers come from.

Today the weather's supposed to nice and sunny, though tomorrow they're forecasting more thunderstorms.  From July to mid-September we tend to be dry, last year that changed and we were wetter then normal.  This year's looking to be similar to last year.  This might be a pre-cursor as to what Global Warming is going to do to the region, possibly turn us into a rain forest.

Republicans are desperately trying to find something they can use to attack Biden, and failing miserably.  This is not surprising when you look at lack of morals, and ethics, and values they represent.  For years they tried to represent themselves as the part of family values, but then they put the Spawn of Satan in the White House and lied like hell to keep his evil ass in power.  The truth is they're just like mosquitos, desperately trying to drain the lifeblood of America in their attempt to stay in power.  What a shame we can't simply build a big MAGA zapper.

Dana Milbank's opinion of Mitch McConnell published in the Washington Post is quite interesting.  I will tell you, though, the title "Mitch McConnell is naked and afraid" created such a frightening vision, I almost didn't read it.  I kept yelling at my eyes, "Look Away!  Look Away!"

It's just my imagination

After today, actually sometime this evening, I will hit my Hump Moment.  It's not quite a dime, more or less just a few seconds in time.  This is what happens when you work 6 days in a row.  Days at the flooring desk are slow, right now.  Summer doldrums.  They seem especially bad this year, mostly, I suspect, because after a year people are finally getting out and about.  No one wants to sit home and wait for a carpet install.  I have no problem with this.

Rain is supposed to begin this afternoon and drizzle around until sometime Sunday.  Temps are supposed to drop down into the mid 50's (F) for daily highs.  In preparation, I've turned on the heat.  It's not running right now, but the second the temps drop the furnace is going to kick on.

One thing about writers, there is always a future story running through our heads.   The editing for The Body in the Loch is almost wrapped up.  Even though work on it is not 'officially' over, words for the next one have already been put down on paper.  I have lots of notes.  I have a title:  The Body in Repose.  A locale:  New Orleans.  A killer and a killer ending, you don't think I'm going to let those out of the bag, do you?  And, of course, there is the music.  Old, yes, but thanks to an manager who likes 80's music, this song played at work.  The lyric fits in with a setting that is right now called 'the PF at Pomfrete.'  Let your imaginations rove!

And what about McConnell begging Republicans not to vote for a January 6 commission?  The reality is if they vote for the commission, the Party's over.  If they vote against it, the Party's over.  He's clinging to the hope that if they vote against they'll be able to hold onto enough voters to survive.  In some parts of the country that may be true, but not a majority of the country.  A large portion of Republicans are going to sit on their hands in 2022.  Yesterday was the first time I saw an article where mention was made of how Republicans are hoping to hold onto the seats they already control in Congress, and how many are beginning to dread the road trips by the Orange Anus.  They do want his attempt coup to be forgotten, yet he's going to use his rallies to drill the Big Lie.  He is going to be a constant reminder they could have done something and didn't.

Blossom

Okay, so I drove over to the store yesterday to buy baby veggie plants and an area rug and bought neither.  Evidently it's still too early in the season for the plants, except for herbs, your standard parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme.  As for the rug?  I didn't even go into the store.  I don't like going there on my days off.  If I need something, I'll pick it up before I leave.  So, if that area rug is still there tomorrow, I'll buy it as I'm walking out the door.

The dogs and I went for a walk.  They love walks!

My replacement phone charges!

And I rode over an hour on my bike, burning off 533 calories in the process.  There were three nice hills, and my legs were a mite sore last evening.

Here's what my peach blossoms look like this morning.

I saw where Mitch McConnell's flipping out because corporations are complaining about the Georgia election laws.  Evidently Old Mitch, and I'm not using that name loosely, doesn't understand these corporations employ many, many minorities.  Neither he, nor the Republican Party understand these corporations are just sticking up for their associates.  This is called loyalty.  Like Loser #45, Old Mitch and his party believe loyalty is purchased; you donate to our campaigns, we'll drop your taxes.

And a friend and I had a bit of a discussion on Americans dropping their church affiliations, mine being that Evangelical Christianity was one of the main culprits.  And lo, the Guardian hath sayeth unto the masses this beith the truth.  Now, how ironic is that?  Evangelicals are slowly killing their own religion.  "How can this be?" they cry out in disbelief, "for we are special.  We, and Loser #45, are the chosen ones."  Nope.

Evolution of Religion

Tuesday... and my work week begins again.

Yesterday was... busy.  I did several loads of laundry.  (Fun stuff!)

A new phone has been ordered for me.  My Pixel's been having battery issues.  At random times, it will turn itself off, and no matter how long it's been charging it never get's more than 50% charged.  Rebooting used to fix the problem for a while, but not anymore.  And, lucky for me, the phone is still under warranty.  So in a few days I should be getting the replacement.  That took up time yesterday morning.

Another thing taking up a bit of time was a 'chat' I had with Amazon Music.  I used to be able to buy new music from their App on my computer.  This is not longer possible.  That App is now just a library for purchased music.   To purchase music you need to go to Amazon or pay for a subscription to Amazon Unlimited.  While $8 isn't much if you listen to a lot of music, one of those who needs to hear the newest releases, for someone like me who only listens to music when I'm running, walking, or cycling, it's a waste of money.

And, look what's hanging my peach tree:

And what a Mitch McConnell wanting all Republican men to get vaccinated for Covid?  Has he no regard for Republican women?  Of course he doesn't.

Finally, I found this more then a little interesting.  Evidently church affiliation in the United States has dropped to below 50%.  You can bet this is making all those Cracker Jack Crazies shed bitter, burning tears.  According to projections, in 30 years there will be no singularly dominate religion in America.  Ouchy!  This is how evolution works, and yes, even religion evolves.  This will be a hard pill for many of the overly zealous to swallow... in fact, I dare say many may actually choke on this truth.  But this has always been the case with mythologies.  What will be the overriding belief system in the future?  I suspect something with a more philosophical lineage, where gods are not seen as actual beings, rather they will be a representation of belief patterns.  We shall see, won't we?

Republican Benghazi

Well, here we go, once again we are ready to approach that thing some call a weekend.  Small pause while I take my digital temperature...  .... 97.5 (F).  That's a little warm for me, but I've been drinking coffee.

I have a laminate floor sale going through today,  Honestly, I really hate dealing with laminate.  There are so many problems which can pop up, the levelness of your floor tends to be a culprit.  Besides, while I know some of you out there might have it in your homes, I'm not wild about it since I see it as faux wood.  I have real hardwood.  I like hardwood.  With laminate, you have a picture of hardwood on top of a pressed core.  That's why it's less expensive.

Damn, the battery is going in my mouse.  I hate when that happens.  I have a really nice gaming mouse I might switch to so batteries are no longer a problem.  It was used heavily when I was playing games on the PC.  A little dusty from sitting in a drawer for a couple of years, but it should do fine.

And, of course, the Idiot Jerk was impeached a 2nd time yesterday for inciting his supporters to violence.  Since is Twitter is gone, he's very quiet, which is rather nice.  The word is out McConnell, who had no problem with his supporters until they shit in the halls of Congress, wants him purged from the party.  Like all spineless Republicans, he's going to let that happen after Biden takes office.  Purging the Idiot Jerk means purging his base.   They are already beginning to point fingers at each other.  This is how the GOP splinters.

As time passes, more and more information comes out about Republican Congressmen who may actually aided and abetted the riot.  There seems to have been an increase in Capital Tours in the days prior to the riot, which is odd since they had been restricted because of Covid.  And apparently one Congresswoman Tweeted Pelosi's location.  If that's true, she's going to be arrested for insurrection.  And there are other investigations on the way.  I don't know how many Republicans know this yet, but they're staring down the gun of their own Benghazi, only this is a thousand times worse.

WINTER STORM WARNING!

Yeah, I slept in this morning.  I had a couple glasses of wine last night to celebrate the Electoral College vote cementing Joe Biden as our next president.

Billy Barr resigned, and while I didn't read it, I understand his resignation letter was 'fawning.'  He does love his tinfoil dictator, so I suspect his refusal to spread the Idiot Jerk's lies about voter fraud had more to do with trying to keep his own ass clean for the history books.

I saw this morning where Moscow Mitch finally acknowledged Biden's win.  While most don't understand, he was the one behind the horrendous spate of conservative judges rather then the Idiot Jerk in the White House.  Mitch thought he was working on his own conservative legacy.  Dumb shit.  Stupid conservatives don't realize Covid is going to be their legacy.  He's going to be remembered as the man who allowed hundreds of thousands of human beings die while only focusing on judges, and they will have to live knowing their conservative beliefs were deemed more important than human life.

Last evening Uncle Joe called the Idiot Jerk in the White House  a lying sack of shit using words that were far too nice.  I understand that the votes by the Electoral College, without one renegade voter, pretty much screwed over the Conservative Media, proving them to be total failures.  Good.

And for those of you who don't know, I am sitting in the bullseye of a winter storm warning.  Yepper, the predicted estimates are between 14 and 22 inches of snow.  I'm am scheduled off tomorrow, when the storm is supposed to start and will take off Thursday if the predictions come true.

Oh, and in case you're wondering, we still have snow shovels available, no blowers though, we sold the last of them yesterday.

Incentive to Vote

Yesterday was slow at work, at least in the flooring department.  Christmas merchandise started arriving back in Receiving.  Yes, it's that time of year.

The transition of my old / new laptop into my fitness tracking computer is complete.  It gets its first run through tonight. I need to do a medium sized ride since I am not about 15 miles behind the pace needed to hit my 2500 miles.

Treaders mentions the constant whirring of helicopter blades overhead at the Tour de France.  There are at three sometimes four helicopters in the air televising the race, the French feed as well as other network / sports feeds.  There are also feeds for cameras on motorcycles (quite a number of those) focusing on different sections of the peloton.  Breakaways get their own camera man.  There is a lot of volume for a bicycle race.  I write about this in The Body in the Tower (notice how I'm tastefully plugging one of my own books?).

And last evening, while I was working on The Body in the Loch, I got the news flash about Ruth Bader-Ginsburg.  Everything in my head just stopped.  One of the greatest voices of America has been silenced.

Of course, McConnell said there the Senate was going to vote on a replacement.  Believe me, he doesn't give a shit if you call him a hypocrite.  This is about power, the ability to dictate and control.  This is the wet dream of every Conservative out there, being able to name 3 Supreme Court justices, to force the country down a Conservative path that only satiates the animal hunger of a minority group.

This is the greatest incentive to go out and vote Blue in the annuls of American History.  I doubt very much if the Senate will be able to confirm before the election... too many Republican senators are at risk of getting fired because of the Idiot Jerk in the White House.  But then they're stupid, and they're power hungry, so who knows.

Keep in mind, Congress has the ability to change the number of sitting Supreme Court justices.   A lot of people don't know this.  Roosevelt tried to pack the court in 1937 with one new seat for every justice over the age of 70.  That didn't work.  However, a Democratic House and Senate, along with a Democratic president would have no problem adding two more seats the bench in order to keep the court Centrist.  Congress can also reduce the number of justices to do the same thing.  They could reduce the number of justices down to 7 and get rid of two of the Conservatives.  Also, keep in mind, justices can also be impeached.

Our upper most Blue priority must be to insure this never happens again,

It's the Virus, Stupid

I use a Lenovo tablet as an alarm clock... actually, I use it for a number of things but rather than set the alarm on my phone or an actual clock, I use the tablet.  Two days ago they did an update.  Two days ago they did an update... and every app was disabled.  Now it has facial recognition, but this morning my alarm didn't go off because... the update turned it off.  I do wish that information had been included in the notes.
I saw where the Federal Agents are being pulled out of Seattle.  I suppose the Idiot Jerk in the White House realized that his show of force wasn't doing a damn thing to improve in ratings in the polls.  He is so damn stupid.  In his tiny Republican mind he thinks he's going to be able to do something which will make America forget about Covid.  Wrong.  Back when Bill Clinton beat Bush the Elder, there was a popular catch phrase which drove the Conservatives bonkers.  "It's the Economy, Stupid."  Well, the same thing applies to the Idiot Jerk.  "It's the Virus, Stupid."  Everywhere people start dying where ever people begin to die.  Because those voters realize he's a lying sack of shit.  He and his spawn started pumping that lie about Hydroxi again and their ads got shot down.  At this point, there is nothing he can actually do to save his presidency and conservatives are pissed, they bet the bank on him and they're going to lose it all.
And now for a funny, ha ha.  Watch McConnell blame the administration for the insertion of a new FBI building in this latest relief bill:

He just threw someone under the bus.
And finally, another bit of Ha Ha.  If you took the 2020 census, you might remember on the race questions, there a list of nationalities considered to be white.  I posted about it back then since the federal government decided Egyptians were white.  I have no problem with that.  However, they didn't list Iranians, perhaps they believe they're Arabic.  With this is mind, which of these two gents is the Egyptian.

Wake up Call

Well, here it is Wednesday and I go back to work... for one day.  I really do hate this schedule of work a day, off a day, work 3 days, off a day.  I go back to work Friday for 3 days, and then I'm off for 2.  My new schedule gets posted today... I'm waiting.
Yesterday's chores are complete and more are planned for tomorrow.  I'm going to get out the chain saw and cut down a bush blocking the view from my front porch.
I also got a 10 mile ride in - I've now ridden 29. (something or other)miles in my 100 mile challenge.  Tomorrow I'll hopefully get another 10 or more miles in.  As for my standing in this challenge, right now there are a little over 93,000 other cyclists with more miles.  In case you didn't know, there are a lot of people out there who ride bicycles.  What was playing in my Senso ear buds?  Nothing But Thieves.

Amy McGrath is going to be running against Mitch McConnell.  You know, the crazy conservative who looks like he's been spending too much time hanging around Death's door?  He's a bitter, old racist who's only joy comes from fomenting hatred in the world.
Oh, and Ross Perot died.  Now there's one less billionaire in the world to worry about.
Tom Steyer, another billionaire, wants to be the Democratic Nominee.  His platform?  Impeach the Idiot Jerk in the White House.  Tom, I hate to tell you, but billionaires need not apply for this job.  As the Idiot Jerk aptly proves over, and over, and over again, you can't run this country like it's a business venture.  Starbuck's Schultz got out... or, well, maybe withdrew, or perhaps reality finally set in, though I guess he's saying he hurt is back... skiing... or something like that.
And finally... I ordered a pair of these.

They're Shimano Mountain Bike pedals.  Actually, these are considered platform pedals.  The ones I have on the red bike right now work great indoors but my shoes don't always click in the first time.  Platforms solve that problem.

Intimate Moments

It's Thursday.  After tomorrow I'll have 3 days off in a row, back to work for 2 and then another 2 days off.  The Jury Duty thing really screwed up my schedule: I worked 5 days, had one day off to go sit in Carlisle to see if I was going to get selected, and then I had to work for another 5 days... in a row.  Crappy, ain't it?
I thought I'd talk a little about intimacy.  Many see no further than the euphemistic definition.  For them it is all about the sex and nothing more.  If it were only about sex, then you could say the Idiot Jerk in the White House shared an intimate moment with Stormy Daniels.  Now, isn't that quaint? However, that personal viewpoint does not quite jive with the actual definition which defines intimacy as a "close, personal relationship," and "belonging together."  Intimacy fosters "warmth, closeness, and trust."  When something happens to your spouse, or your husband, or your partner, or your wife, you don't think about those moments of hot sex.  Rather it's those non-sexual moments that flood your mind, those times when a simple gesture, or look, or laugh binds your hearts together.  This is why I don't write about sex.  My characters are in relationships that don't depend upon getting laid to survive.  I bring this up because yesterday at work I was asked if Eli and Max will ever have sex.  My response was "oh, they have it all the time, I'm just not writing about it."  If they were real people, thirty years from now, what do you think they'd remember?  The hot sex, or that time when Max stitched up a gash in Eli's knee and asked "do you want the scar hanging to the left, or to the right?"
Anyway, it seems as though about half of the voting public realizes that William Barr did exactly what the Idiot Jerk in the White House and the crooked Republican Senate wanted him to do:  muzzle the Mueller report.  Perhaps we should take a page from their playbook and start shouting "lock 'em up!"  I'm sure everybody would be waiting breathlessly for McConnell to write about his intimate moments in Cell Block 3... Wait a minute.  We're talking about McConnell here, there wouldn't be any intimate moments... And the idea of him writing about hot sex in the shower is... Don't even go there.
Back when I was in the Navy, I worked with surface radar.  I tracked boats, and ships that came within 25 miles in the Combat Information Center.  We called it CIC.  Air radar tracked planes and helicopters.  A friend mine posted a picture from CIC of the air tracking stations.  This is what it looked like.

Yeah, those are the terminals we worked at, though this pic is more recent.  I can tell you, surface was a lot darker.

It's a stretch

This morning at Planet Fitness was interesting.  I have a routine that I follow however, since I'm a versatile kind of guy, I have to shake it up, do it out of sequence, and that happened this AM because the Three Caballeros were using the chest equipment and they were chit-chatting behind me while I was doing my presses.   Holy Crap, talk about shallow pretentiousness.  Each has their own water bottle, their own towel, and a pad to jot notes in:  one has a fancy clipboard in a case and the other two have steno pads (that's right, steno pads, I didn't know they made those anymore).  And they surround themselves with their "equipment" and then stand there a chit-chat.  Note, they don't really talk.  Talking is using words that have meaning in a way that creates an idea which makes sense.  Chit-chat is air passing over vocal cords to make sounds which most often have no logic.  So, instead of doing my hammer curls, I went over and did my sets of Lat Pulldowns until they gathered their "gear" and moved on.   As a result, I ended up stretching my gym time out another 10 minutes, which is actually a good thing so maybe their chit-chat about using "using coupons to buy meat," had some value after all.
And speaking of stretching, what about the Idiot Jr?  Emails?  "Love it!"  Evidently the media isn't stretching for their truth, and the Idiot's claim that they're involved in a 'Witch Hunt' is just a stretch of the truth.  I mean, you have to admit that this is funny as hell.  All of those Conservative morons voted for a Traitor who had no problem asking a foreign government for help in winning the election.  A foreign government, by the way, that wants to make America Ungreat.   I also have no doubts that this is one of the main reasons McTurtle has demanded Congress delay their August recess.  In fact, it would surprise me if Conservatives all over DC have seen the Cyrillic Eviction notice written on the White House Wall.

Of course, there really are a lot of different types of stretches, just like there are all sorts of words, and sounds, and the Idiot and his entire family seem to have no problem in taking the truth and pulling it tightly onto the frame of their preferred reality.  Me?  Give me real, muscles any day.

Mitch McConnell and Matt Bevin - RNC Jello heads

I saw where Mitch McConnell spoke at Fancy Farm (never head of it) which is something that happens at the St Jerome's Church Picnic (again, never heard of it), which is in Kentucky.  Evidently he showed up, gave a little speech and left.  He was, however, followed by some guy named Matt Bevin, who it seems is backed by the Tea Party, and Allison Grimes who is the Kentucky Secretary of State (?).  It seems as though they slammed old Mitch, both labeling him as an 'obstructionist.' I'll be honest, I've never really liked Mitch.  Every time he opens his mouth all I hear is pretentious bullshit.  In his defense, however, I suspect he has bent over backwards to kiss the RNC's ass.  If he is an obstructionist, it's because this is what they wanted from him.  Now, however, just like in Treasure Island, I suspect the RNC has given him the black spot, not because he's bad, but because this is how they plan to show the American people how much they are changing.

The sad truth, however, is that if Matt Bevin does managed to unseat old Mitch, he is going to be just as much of an obstructionist.  No change there.  You see Matt will be indentured to the Tea Party, and they will call the shots.  If he should win the election in 2014, the first voice he hears will be the Tea Party.  And what will they say?  You owe us.  It will be nothing more then superficial slight of hand.  They'll pull a bunny out of their hat who's been up their arm all the time.  Which is why the GOP is in trouble, you see it doesn't make a difference if you have a grape Jello head in office, or a strawberry Jello head in office.  They're both Jello heads.  Change is more then going from flavor to flavor, it means going from Jello to pudding.
